She stormed off from school and went home. Only food could cure her frustration. She wanted to turn her grief and anger into appetite!
"I'm so angry, ughhh..."
Molly returned home in a huff, but as soon as she entered, she smelled the aroma of food and quickened her pace to go inside. Her mother was simmering soup in the kitchen.
"Mom, what did you cook? It smells so good!"
"Go wash your hands quickly, it will be ready to eat soon. Mom specially went to the market to buy some mountain produce to make soup for you to nourish your body. Studying is tiring for both body and mind, so you need to replenish your nutrition."
"This must be very expensive."
Molly took the spoon and stirred the soup in the casserole a couple of times, and the aroma was irresistible.
"Thankfully, the young man selling mountain produce was kind and talkative. He said we hit it off immediately and he felt a connection with me. He even gave me some freebies. There are still many good people in the world. It's a pity that such a nice young man injured his hand. Sigh..."
"Mom, when did you become so concerned about other people's affairs? Don't you always say that everyone has their own fate?"
"You silly girl, you've remembered all of that! But why don't you remember what your mother told you to pay attention to your own marriage?"
Mo's mother poked her nose, and she pouted and backed away, humming twice.
"No way, I'm still young, what's the rush? You'd better take it easy, or you'll regret it if you provoke my rebellious side."
"You brat, threatening your old mother now!"

Mr. Mo came out of the study and took off his reading glasses.
"I heard everything you said in the room. Eat while it's hot and just keep quiet."
