The opening ceremony proceeded as scheduled the next day, with Yang Chang sporting dark circles under his eyes and yawning constantly.
"Comrade Wanqing... I've followed your instructions to notify everyone. Will there really be a large number of individual customers today?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
According to the original plan, the factory was only open to partners for a tour at today's opening ceremony. However, due to the unexpected incident, Jiang Wanqing specially set up a temporary showroom to sell loose goods. The most important thing now is to make a name for the company.
She wasn't selling frequently replaced consumables anyway. As long as she established the brand first, Su Su's initial advantage would be for nothing!
The opening ceremony banner fluttered in the wind, and the few people scattered at the entrance were all her own people. Jiang Wanqing raised her wrist to check the time.
"The auspicious time has arrived, let's begin the ribbon-cutting."
"Huh? But..." Yang Chang looked around at the deserted scene and began to feel uncertain again.
The idea was good, but what if it slipped through his fingers? He wondered if he had been too exhausted last night to think that a hastily come-of-the-moment solution had the potential to turn the tide.
"Let's get started, stop talking nonsense."
Jiang Wanqing remained calm, clapped her hands, and someone brought over a tray with two pairs of scissors on it, which were prepared for her and Yang Chang.
The two picked up the simple cloth and had just cut the red silk when a large group of people walked in from not far away. Yang Chang's eyesight was poor, so he thought they were there to support him and immediately smiled and was about to go up to greet them. But when the group got closer, he realized that it was Su Su leading those defecting business partners. He immediately stopped and looked at Jiang Wanqing.
"Comrade Wanqing, they're here to laugh at us, aren't they? Perhaps..."
She raised her hand to indicate that it was okay, but when Su Su got closer, she was indeed up to no good. She crossed her arms, glanced around, chuckled, and covered her mouth slightly.
"Hey, Comrade Jiang, how can you be so stubborn? You still dare to open for business in this situation. I'm afraid it won't be more than ten days or half a month... no, at most three to five days, before you have to close down. You have neither partners nor an absolute advantage in your products. Why don't I help you out on this auspicious day and sell your factory to me? I'm just about to be overwhelmed with orders."
Su Su turned around and pointed to a dozen or twenty partners with a smug smile on her face.
"Look, my partners are all waiting for me to ship their goods. You might as well sell them to me at a low price instead of letting your goods rot in your hands."
"She's really arrogant," Jiang Wanqing thought, staring into her eyes. Back in Beijing, this woman was quite good at putting on an act, but now her eyes revealed a vulgarity and a smug look. This feeling was all too familiar to Jiang Wanqing...
"Comrade Jiang, Comrade Su is only doing this for your own good. You look so pathetic and miserable. You should get rid of your stockpiles quickly, lest they gather dust and no one will want them even if you give them away for free, hahaha..."
"Hahaha... Women are just so brainless. Your past success was due to luck, but now it's time to fight for real strength. Don't you dare not listen to my advice!"
"Why didn't you stay in the perfectly good capital region? Why did you have to come to the southwest to humiliate yourself? Do you really think you're a genius?"
These people were sarcastic and cynical; they loved watching people be brought down from their pedestals, and Su Su was the ringleader.
Yang Chang was extremely anxious, unable to calm down, staring at Jiang Wanqing, hoping she would make a decision.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Are you scared? It's okay, it's normal... After all, your methods work on others, but they're completely useless against me!" Su Su moved closer to Jiang Wanqing. "If you don't make a decision now, you'll miss this opportunity."
A gust of wind blew, lifting the fireworks on the ground and causing Jiang Wanqing's hair to flutter. She raised an eyebrow, met Su Su's provocative gaze, and curled her lips into a smile.
"Are you that confident?"
"So what? The current situation has already proven who won and who lost between us. Jiang Wanqing, you are the loser!"
Su Su reached out her finger to poke Jiang Wanqing's shoulder blade, but it was only an inch away when it was forcefully pulled back.
"You filthy thing, you're not worthy to touch me. If you don't want your claws, just chop them off. You're too green to be showing off in front of me. You're in such a hurry to come to my funeral, lest you end up covering your own grave!"
"You...you dare to curse me!" Su Su winced and pulled her hand back, glaring fiercely at Jiang Wanqing. "You're so stubborn! I'll sit here and see how you get out of this!"
She sat down casually on the stool next to her, and all the business partners stood behind her like lackeys. Yang Chang clenched his fists tightly.
"Comrade Wanqing, say something! We're..."
"It's only nine o'clock. Considering the time spent getting up, eating, and traveling, do you think everyone is as free as those people?" Jiang Wanqing glanced at Su Su and snorted. "Don't even think about selling to them at a low price. I will only offer discounts to real consumers."
Time passed slowly, and Jiang Wanqing stared intently at the distant intersection. About half an hour later, a few individual travelers came over, and her eyes lit up.
The individual traveler walked over, saw so many people, and wanted to leave, but Jiang Wanqing walked over to him.
"Hello comrade, did you come here after seeing our advertisement?"
"Yes...yes, you sell small household appliances here, right? But I don't think..." The man glanced fearfully at Su Su's side, "Are you decent people?"
"Don't worry, it's all legitimate. Those are just stray dogs passing by. What do you want to buy or see? Just tell me, and I'll take you on a tour."
"Oh, that's great! Your service is quite good."
Jiang Wanqing's enthusiastic attitude impressed the traveler, but Su Su didn't take her seriously at all and just snorted.
"They really won't let go of even the smallest profit, thinking they can recoup their losses by selling one or two units? They're dreaming!"
"Yes, our chamber of commerce alone buys as much as a hundred or even more individual customers. She actually wants to sell retail; she's practically courting death! Let's see how long she can hold out!"
Even Yang Chang thought Jiang Wanqing's efforts were in vain, but seeing her enthusiasm and patience in serving the individual customer, he didn't want to dampen her enthusiasm and confidence. After all, selling one unit would reduce the loss.
About half an hour later, the customer came out carrying a box. It looked like he had bought a small radio, which Jiang Wanqing had personally delivered.
"Thank you, thank you! Your radio is cheap and works well. You wait here, I'll go tell the rest of the village!"
"I should be thanking you. If there are any problems with the use of the product later, please come over anytime. We will provide a full refund or exchange."
"Okay! I'll head back now."
Watching Jiang Wanqing see the person off, Su Su snorted, her tone disdainful.
"Finally sold one, Jiang Wanqing. You're not even letting go of a profit of one or two yuan?"
