While Zheng Yuan was talking to the principal, Molly took the opportunity to turn her head and whisper to Jiang Wanqing.
"You were really amazing just now! I was so worried for you, I didn't expect you to actually do it."
"I only know a little bit."
In her past life, after Yuan Zhong achieved fame and success, she always felt that she wasn't good enough to make him proud, especially at various social events. She couldn't even dance properly, and she practiced hard for this moment. However, even though she had mastered the dance, Yuan Zhong still chose someone else as his dance partner...
But all that is in the past. Jiang Wanqing took a deep breath and smiled. It turns out that dancing alone can be beautiful and not lonely.
"Wanqing, we're all going to dance together later, can you take me with you?"
Jiang Wanqing glanced at her ankle, looking somewhat embarrassed: "I think I twisted my ankle just now, it hurts a bit, sorry."
"Huh?" Molly immediately checked her injuries: "Are you alright? Should we go to the clinic?"
"It's nothing, you'll be fine after you go back and rest."
Their conversation was overheard by Teacher Tang, who had been listening intently. She grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds from the table, cracking and tossing them as she went, her gaze falling on the pile of date pits beside her...
She brushed the sunflower seed shells off her hands, smiled, and stood up.
"Teacher Jiang, I apologize to you. Who would have thought you were so talented? You must teach me later."
"inconvenient."
Jiang Wanqing refused decisively, and Teacher Tang pursed her lips, not pressing the matter, and casually replied.
"Fine, then forget it if you don't want to give me face, so you won't say I'm shameless again."
Her attempt to provoke her failed, and Jiang Wanqing simply smiled and remained silent.
After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they gradually entered the dance floor amidst the lively atmosphere, and began to dance in various styles.
Molly raised her hand and swayed her waist when suddenly someone stepped hard on her heel, almost making her fall. She turned around and saw Teacher Tang deliberately standing close to her.
"Oops, I stepped on you. I'm sorry, I'm just not very good at jumping." Teacher Tang chuckled, seemingly harmless.
She apologized, and no one was injured, but Molly couldn't get angry because of the occasion.
If you can't beat them, you might as well avoid them. She glanced at Teacher Tang, changed her position, and continued jumping.
To everyone's surprise, Teacher Tang followed and stomped on her feet several times!
Molly immediately lost her temper, putting her hands on her hips and pointing at the other person.
"Are you ever going to stop?! Is this on purpose or intentional?"
"Don't be angry. Look at what you're saying. If either of us knew how to dance, we wouldn't have stepped on each other's feet. It's not my fault that the one who knew how to dance didn't come to teach us."
While feigning grievance, she glanced intentionally or unintentionally in Jiang Wanqing's direction.
Everyone was happily dancing and singing, and this little conflict wasn't going to cause any big fuss. Molly, however, felt extremely uncomfortable, unable to hold her breath.
She gritted her teeth and sat down next to Jiang Wanqing.
"Who knows what she's up to? She just wants to force you to play. Don't even think about using me!"
Jiang Wanqing smiled and patted Molly's hand.
"I'll go and meet her."
"Hey... your leg is injured, you shouldn't go."
"I can easily beat her."
Molly was touched, but also a little nervous, fearing that Jiang Wanqing might worsen her injuries in an attempt to get revenge for her.
However, Teacher Tang was very well-behaved this time, not deliberately getting close to Jiang Wanqing, and even seemed to be leaving the scene.
Jiang Wanqing frowned, wondering what she was up to. Squeezed into the crowd, she couldn't slow down her dance steps and could only jump on tiptoe, repeating this over and over again.
Suddenly, accompanied by a scream, Teacher Tang knocked over the plate of dried fruit on the table, scattering various round and flat pits all over the floor!
Jiang Wanqing was standing in a low-lying area, and the fruit pit rolled towards her with a gurgling sound.
She originally wanted to slow down and step aside, but the twist she made at the beginning of the dance still affected her movements.
He stepped on the fruit pit without noticing and fell backward.
"careful!"
Zheng Yuan was close to her and immediately helped her up. As soon as she regained her balance, she moved to the side.
"Thank you, Comrade Zheng."
He withdrew his hand, gave an embarrassed smile, and shook his head: "It was nothing, I'm just glad you weren't hurt."
"Comrade Zheng is quick, Teacher Jiang must have a very flexible waist, right?" Teacher Tang led the teasing.
The others didn't dare to openly tease Jiang Wanqing, but they all covered their mouths and chuckled, some even looking forward to a good show.
"Whether Wanqing's waist is flexible or not is none of your business. I think you're like someone with underdeveloped cerebellum. First you stepped on my foot, and now you've knocked over the fruit plate. Humph, anyone who didn't know better would think you have some kind of incoordination problem."
Molly finally couldn't take it anymore and started yelling at Teacher Tang.
"It's best to see a doctor as soon as possible if you're sick. Teacher Tang is still young; don't let him die young."
Jiang Wanqing endured the pain in her foot and echoed Molly's curses.
"You...you're cursing me!"
"It's not a curse, just a kind reminder. I hope Teacher Tang won't be angry with me, right? Hmm?"
"An eye for an eye," Jiang Wanqing retorted sarcastically.
"Alright, alright, we're all colleagues, let's not let Comrade Zheng see this and make a fool of himself. Unity is the most important thing!"
The principal tried to mediate, but Jiang Wanqing wouldn't listen. She pulled Molly aside and said goodbye to everyone.
“I twisted my ankle, so I won’t spoil the fun here. Molly, come with me to the clinic.”
"good!"
Molly helped Jiang Wanqing up and glared at the troublemaker before leaving.
Watching them leave, Zheng Yuan lifted his foot, but ultimately stopped in his tracks and didn't follow, though his gaze lingered on them.
As she left the school auditorium, Molly spat behind her.
"If it weren't for the special circumstances today, I would have torn that woman to shreds!"
