Chapter 16: Prime Minister Yin’s granddaughter, Yin Miaoyin

The sun was shining brightly today, so even though it was still a little hot in the afternoon, the girl raised her hands to block the sun, and when she looked up, she saw the three characters "Prime Minister's Mansion" clearly inscribed on the plaque above the mansion gate.

"Miss, why didn't you bring anyone with you when you went out today? The master will definitely blame you when he finds out." The butler helped the young lady get off the carriage and said helplessly.

"Just don't let father know." The girl winked at the butler mischievously and strode up the stairs holding the gift box.

This woman was none other than Yin Miaoyin, the granddaughter of the current Prime Minister Yin.

"How is mother today?" Yin Miaoyin entered the mansion. The nanny who followed her came to find her after hearing the news that she had returned.

"Madam got up this morning and ate a few bites of breakfast, but her appetite is still not very good. She took medicine at noon and slept for a while. She should be awake now." The nanny followed closely behind Yin Miaoyin, helping her to tidy up her appearance.

Yin Miaoyin paused slightly, looked back at the nanny, opened her lips to say something, but in the end she just sighed and walked faster towards her mother Zhen's room.

"Miaoyin is a good child, except that she never comes home. I don't know where she went today. When she comes back, you have to cover up for her in front of the master, otherwise her father is strict and will definitely scold her again."

Zhen had indeed woken up. Her weak voice came through the door, and she was talking to the nanny beside her about Yin Miaoyin.

"The young lady has been lively since she was young. If she is locked up in the house, she will not be happy. The master will help cover it up."

The nanny with half-white hair comforted Zhen softly and kneaded beside the footstool to massage Zhen's legs which were a little inconvenient.

Zhen nodded, with a gloomy and sad look in her eyes: "It's my fault that I'm weak and sickly, and I've dragged Miaoyin down."

Zhen's voice was hoarse, and it sounded like she had been ill for a long time. Yin Miaoyin stood outside the door for a long time, and then she put away her depressed mood and walked into the house with a heartless smile on her face.

"I heard my mother talking about me from afar. My daughter hasn't come for only half a day. Does she miss her?"

Yin Miaoyin strode to the ice basin for cooling off and waved to the maid to fan her to cool off.

"You monkey, where have you been playing again? You got a lot of hair on your head. Come here quickly, let your mother wipe it off for you." When Zhen saw her daughter, her depressed mood disappeared and she waved to her daughter with a loving smile.

Yin Miaoyin walked obediently to Zhen's bed, and the nanny kneeling on the footstool stood up to make room for her master.

"Mother, when I was shopping at Ruyi Pavilion, I saw a headpiece that I thought would suit you very well, so I bought it."

When Zhen was wiping the sweat off Yin Miaoyin's face, she excitedly showed Zhen the gift she had brought back.

During these years, Zhen had been ill and her mood was inevitably depressed, so Yin Miaoyin found various ways to cheer her up.

Seeing the exquisitely crafted head ornament in the box, Zhen's eyes lit up and she happily took the box.

"Oh, this is really well made. There are not many decorations, but the style is very good. I will wear it as soon as my mother gets better." After saying this, Zhen raised her hand and rubbed Yin Miaoyin's head. "My son's taste is getting better and better."

Yin Miaoyin was happy to see that Zhen liked the headwear she chose, but she frowned when she thought of what happened in Ruyi Pavilion.

Zhen noticed the change in her daughter's expression and smiled as she pinched her face: "What happened to you outside?"
