Chapter 3: Marrying on Behalf
"Please take off the veil, groom." The matchmaker smiled and saluted, and the servant who was waiting at the side responded and came forward with a tray.
Tan Zhuoyan glanced at the bride, who was wearing a red veil embroidered with mandarin ducks and lotus flowers, and with a sullen face, she picked up the scale and lifted the veil. The red veil slipped off, and a pair of bright eyes met Tan Zhuoyan's gloomy pupils.
Qin Zhuoyan, the son of Dingbei Marquis, was handsome, with the appearance of Xu Gong from the north of the city, and had an impeccable face. It was a pity that his legs were not good for walking, which took away some of his spirit.

The people behind Qin Zhuoyan were whispering about the bride's appearance. Although they tried to lower their voices, Qin Zhuoyan was not deaf, so how could she not hear what they were saying?
Glancing at the girl from the Zhou family who was staring at her blankly, Qin Zhuoyan's eyes flashed with disgust, and she became even more dissatisfied with this marriage.
"Hmph!" Qin Zhuoyan glanced at Liu Mingyue with disgust, feeling that this ugly woman made her lose face in front of others. She just lifted the veil and ignored the rest of the etiquette. She snorted coldly and left angrily.
The guests who were watching the excitement at the door scattered like birds and beasts when they saw this, and the originally lively bridal chamber suddenly became deserted.
The dull sound of the wooden wheels rolling was faintly heard in the somewhat sultry summer air. Liu Mingyue sat on the bed in a daze, holding the red veil in her hands, and seemed to be unable to come back to her senses.

Does this mean that after being poisoned, she returned to three years ago? There is such a bizarre thing in the world. Seeing Liu Mingyue staring at her blankly without saying a word, Hongniang broke out in a cold sweat and was shocked.
