The King of Yan was filled with anger and had no place to vent it.
After thinking about it, King Yan walked towards Liu Ruyan's Qixue Pavilion, hoping to find some comfort in Liu Ruyan's quiet courtyard.
Upon receiving the news, Liu Ruyan and her maid greeted them at the door. It was a hot and humid summer night. Prince Yan looked from afar at the Qixue Pavilion, which looked like a snow cave, and Liu Ruyan, who was dressed in white, standing at the door. Suddenly, he didn't want to step in.
Every time I go to Qixue Pavilion, it feels like I’m attending a funeral.
If only Liu Ruyan could rest in the yard and change into a non-white dress, King Yan would not gradually lose interest in her.
"Greetings to the prince." Liu Ruyan's expression was indifferent, neither happy nor sad, as cold and pure as the snow on the top of a mountain.
King Yan walked into Qixue Pavilion.
Liu Ruyan calmly served him plum tea, and looked at King Yan with her watery eyes, as if she was missing her dead love.
As Prince Yan picked up the teacup, a buzzing mosquito landed on the back of his hand.
Bit a big red envelope.
Prince Yan frowned slightly and asked, "Didn't the Ministry of Internal Affairs send mosquito incense to Qixue Pavilion?"
The garden of Qixue Pavilion is full of trees, and there is a pond next to it that attracts mosquitoes. In the summer, the sounds of frogs croaking, insects chirping, and mosquitoes buzzing in the yard are mixed together, making it extremely noisy.
Prince Yan was kind of thinking about going back to Shen Wei's Liuli Pavilion.
At least there are no mosquitoes in Liuli Pavilion!
Liu Ruyan said calmly: "The mosquito incense smells bad, I don't like to use it."
Liu Ruyan had a cold body and was not very likely to be bitten by mosquitoes. All the mosquitoes bit the maids and eunuchs who served her.
Prince Yan took two sips of plum tea. He didn't like the slightly bitter taste of plum tea, but every time he came to Liu Ruyan, Liu Ruyan would always make him a pot.
Prince Yan put down his plum tea in annoyance and took a walk in the courtyard with Liu Ruyan.
It was a hot summer night. The moon in the sky cast a soft light. In the courtyard, there were green fireflies dancing. The King of Yan said casually, "The dancing of these fireflies is really beautiful."
Liu Ruyan was moved by the scene and said sadly, "Sometimes in my dreams I turn into a crane, and countless grasses in the world turn into fireflies. Sometimes I really want to turn into a firefly and leave behind the troubles of the world."
As she spoke, Liu Ruyan sighed in disappointment, tears welling up in her eyes.
King Yan: ...
I really can't continue the conversation!
There were a lot of mosquitoes, but they didn't bite Liu Ruyan who had a cold body. Instead, they kept biting King Yan. The King of Yan was in such a hurry to go out today that he forgot to wear the mosquito repellent wormwood sachet that Chen Wei gave her...
Thinking of Shen Wei, King Yan felt even worse.
He did not stay in Qixue Pavilion and left in a huff.
Liu Ruyan stood at the gate of the courtyard, watching the majestic figure of King Yan leaving. She smiled bitterly, "Since ancient times, men have been fickle. Chen Wei and I are both pitiful people."
Xuemei, who was serving him, silently pinched her philtrum.
Prince Yan came here with great difficulty, but before he could even get comfortable, he left with a gloomy face!
"Master, there are too many mosquitoes in our yard. How about I light some mosquito incense to drive them away?" Xuemei suggested.
Liu Ruyan shook her head calmly: "I don't like the smell of mosquito incense. It's not as good as the fragrance of plum blossoms."
Xuemei rolled her eyes silently and looked down at her hands full of mosquito bites. When will this hard life end?

The Prince of Yan was full of anger and returned to his study to read for a while.
The study was stuffy, and even though there was an ice jar to hold ice cubes, a thin layer of sweat still appeared on Prince Yan's forehead.
Uneasy.
Fugui observed the expression of the king and said, "Your Majesty, I have something to say, but it is not worth saying."
King Yan raised his eyes and said, "Tell me."
Fugui said awkwardly, "Your Highness, Master Shen is very loyal to you, it is unlikely that he would practice witchcraft. And I took a sneak peek before, the wooden man doesn't look like a witchcraft tool, there are no curses on it, no silver needles piercing the heart, only the birth dates of Master and Master Shen, which is really a bit strange."
As soon as Fugui reminded him, King Yan opened the wooden box and took out the wooden man inside.
The wooden figure has an exquisite shape, with the name and birth date engraved on it and two circles of red string wrapped around it.
King Yan thought for a moment and ordered Fugui: "Take this box and go to Yuqing Temple to find a respected Taoist priest to take a look. This king wants to know what is so strange about this little man made by Shen Wei."
Fugui held the wooden box and said, "I'll do it right away."
It was late at night, and King Yan returned to the main house to rest alone. He lay on the soft big bed, and his pillow was the mugwort velvet pillow given by Shen Wei.
On the bed curtain hung the hanging sachet given by Shen Wei.
Next to the bed, there were black boots embroidered with gold that Shen Wei had made herself.
Even the white silk pajamas worn by the King of Yan were designed by Shen Wei...
Prince Yan was in mixed emotions, he didn't know when Shen Wei had quietly integrated into his life. King Yan thought of the strange wooden voodoo man again, and sighed silently for a long time.
...
Rose Garden.
Zhang Yue put down the teacup, a smug smile still on her lips: "I didn't expect that Chen Wei was actually such a fool. She didn't know how to defend herself, and she even stupidly said [No way to defend herself], hahaha."
Thinking of Shen Wei's stupid look, Zhang Yue laughed wildly again.
Fang'er was serving with her head down, and caught a glimpse of Zhang Yue who was getting carried away with pride out of the corner of her eye. Fang'er pressed the corners of her lips down slightly to hide her sarcasm.
Zhang Yue laughed enough and started to choose her dress for tomorrow: "Quick, open my closet, I want to pick out a beautiful dress to serve the prince tomorrow."
Chen Wei was put in solitary confinement by King Yan, and it was a foregone conclusion that she would fall out of favor.
Zhang Yue must seize the opportunity to win the favor of King Yan.
...
On the same moonlit night, a luxurious carriage was traveling on the official road and stopped at a post station on the official road.
The silk curtain was lifted, and the veiled woman, holding the hand of her maid, walked into the deserted post station. The woman had a graceful figure, and even with a white veil on, she could not conceal the elegant temperament of a Jiangnan beauty.
