Chapter 16 Meeting Family (2/2)

Only fools go to work, only repairing the chain is the truth.

"If you inherit the title, you will have more resources. Isn't this better than repairing the chain by yourself?"

"Father, how much time have you spent repairing chains since you inherited the title?" Hecate asked in return.

No matter how many resources she has, it is of no use to her. With the talent and longevity gifted by fate, she can increase her magic level several times a month. Why would she need any more resources?

Count Fortes angrily drove Hecate out of the study.

On the next day, Hecate was dragged by her mother and others to tour the capital.

They haven't been to the capital for a long time. After all, the city of Ion is quite far away from the capital.

Both Edith and Loria were attracted by the new things in the royal capital.

"Mom, look at that skirt, it's so beautiful!"

"Mom, I want to eat that!"

"Okay, okay, let's buy them all and eat them all!" Audrey said happily.

"Hecate, is there anything you want to buy?"

In order to avoid being questioned by his mother, Hecate bought a toy at random.

After walking around for more than an hour, I unexpectedly ran into a classmate here.

"Student Hecate, why are you here?" Betty suddenly appeared in front of her and asked puzzledly.

Hecate was a little surprised: "My family came to the capital, and I'm shopping here with them."

At this time, the mother, who was still in the store selecting goods with her sisters, suddenly rushed out and said in surprise, "Hecate, is this your classmate?"

"right."

"Oh, you're so beautiful. What's your name?" Audrey asked kindly.

Hecate frowned immediately. She had a feeling that her mother didn't want to do anything, so she quickly said, "Betty, if you have something to do, go do it first. I'll find you when I get back to school."

Betty laughed and said, "It's okay. I'm just about to go back to school. This beautiful lady, my name is Betty Sigrid. I'm glad to meet you."

"Hecate, go pay Edith and Loria. I want to talk to this lady."

"Mother, you want to get me out of here!"

"Yes, I want to talk to her about some topics between girls, which gentlemen should avoid."

Hecate was speechless.

You are still a girl, you are 38 years old.

Entering the store, Edith and Loria were both struggling with the color of the accessories. Hecate was not interested at all and could only wait for them to finish their selection.

However, when her mother and Betty came in, before either of them had finished choosing, Hecate felt a little regretful. She really shouldn't have accompanied a woman shopping.

"Mother, what did you talk about with my classmates?" Hecate looked at Betty strangely and asked.

Ms. Audrey said seriously: "Hecate, a gentleman should not gossip about girls. It is not gentlemanly."

Hecate: "......"

I really wanted to take off my pants and tell her that I was no longer a gentleman. If I did that, my mother would probably faint from fear.
