Chapter Fifty-Three: Went to Where He Was Going
Xin Li turned her head and saw He Mingzhou standing at the door with a bowl of fragrant chicken soup.
Thinking about how the man ignored her pleas for mercy several times last night, Xinli pouted and said angrily, "I don't want to talk to you."
He Mingzhou was taken aback, then chuckled: "Still angry?"
Xinli glared at him: "Shouldn't I be angry?"
He doesn't even look at what he's done!
"You provoked me first."

Xin Li touched her earlobes and found them to be a little hot. She quickly lay down, turning her back to He Mingzhou so that he wouldn't notice anything unusual about her.

He Mingzhou could tell that Xin Li didn't want to continue the conversation, so he didn't say anything more.
"That's about it."
He Mingzhou reached out and touched the chicken soup: "Then get up and drink the chicken soup."

Xinli slowly sat up.
He Mingzhou handed her the chicken soup.
I'm going back tomorrow.
When He Mingzhou brought this up, Xin Li realized that He Mingzhou was supposed to go back today.
"You asked for leave?"

Xin Li blushed: "What kind of excuse did you give?"

"Just say that something happened at home and you need time to deal with it."

"Are you okay staying home alone tomorrow? Should I ask Aunt Lu to come and take care of you?"
