Chapter 7 Chapter 7 Make Daiyu angry again, the enemy attacks
Lu Chen and others were trying to persuade Daiyu, but to no avail, so they went to ask Wu Tianyue for help.
Wu Tianyue was about to go look for Daiyu, so he followed behind with his fishing rod. "What are you doing here? The sea is calm today, why don't you go fishing?"
Daiyu wiped her tears and saw his big eyes shining as if they were glowing. She knew that he had ulterior motives, but she was not afraid. She chuckled softly and closed the window with a "click".
Wu Tianyue has gotten used to it these days. The window frame almost hit his nose, but he didn't even blink. He sneered in his heart and said, "I was being accommodating to you when you scolded me the day before yesterday. Yesterday, I just learned how to fish and I caught several fish. I'm so talented, I'm going to torture you to death today."
After a while, Daiyu came out wearing a veil and a hat.
"Why cover yourself up so tightly?" Wu Tianyue looked at the yarn on the brim of his hat that was almost hanging to the ground. "We go on deck to enjoy the breeze. It's so uncomfortable to be stuffy."
As he spoke, he reached out and took off the veil on Daiyu's head, accompanied by Zijuan's exclamation.
Daiyu was just about to go downstairs around him, but she didn't expect him to be so unreasonable. She suddenly stopped, opened her mouth, but didn't say a word. She turned around and lowered her head to go into the room.
Wu Tianyue saw that her eyes instantly turned red, unlike before when she was making indirect accusations or being sarcastic. He suddenly panicked and stood there at a loss.
Seeing this, Lan Ye hurriedly pushed him away: "What are you still standing there for? Go and apologize to Miss Lin."
Wu Tianyue came to his senses, threw away his fishing gear guiltily, and ran into the room.
Daiyu sat by the window crying, Zijuan and Luchen tried to persuade her, but to no avail.
When Zijuan saw Wu Tianyue come in, she thought about how Daiyu had to be coaxed by Baoyu when she was angry in the past, so she stopped talking and pulled Luchen out.
"I'm sorry." Wu Tianyue hesitated for a long time, then lowered his head and apologized.
Seeing that he thought for a long time before blurting out this sentence, Daiyu felt not only aggrieved but also angry. She turned around and faced away from him.
Seeing that she was still silent, Wu Tianyue hurriedly explained, "I really thought I was going to the deck just to get some fresh air. Besides, I've given everyone else on board a day off, except for the maids who serve you and me. No one will see us."
Unexpectedly, this explanation aroused Daiyu's anger: "How can you do this to me when no one sees you?"
After saying this, he lowered his head and wiped away his tears: "I am an ordinary person, I can't marry into the family of a prince."
Seeing her like this, Wu Tianyue panicked and said, "I was reckless. I touched your things without asking you, and even pulled your veil in front of everyone."
Daiyu still ignored him. Wu Tianyue stepped forward urgently and grabbed Daiyu's sleeve. Just as he was about to speak, he heard a "ripping" sound and the sleeve was torn.
Wu Tianyue thought to himself, "Not good," and saw Daiyu's expression froze, she became more and more angry, and tears rolled down her cheeks.
"I didn't mean to do that. I've just been strong since I was a kid..." Wu Tianyue said without thinking, "I didn't expect this dress to be so fragile."
Seeing Daiyu crying so hard that she was choking, he hurriedly patted her back to help her calm down.
Daiyu pushed him away, stood up and wanted to speak, but she was gasping for breath and couldn't speak.
Wu Tianyue had seen this scene when he was a child. It was an imperial physician who saved the girl by covering her with a cloth bag, but he couldn't find it now. He hurriedly took some paper from Daiyu's desk, folded it a few times, and carefully wrapped it around Daiyu's mouth and nose.
Daiyu took a deep breath, shook off his hand, and before she could say anything, she felt a bump under her feet.
"What's going on?" Wu Tianyue supported Daiyu, who was unsteady on her feet, and asked after helping her sit on the bed.
The secret guard who was protecting Wu Tianyue came back and forth: "Sir, it seems that there is an enemy attack."
"Protect Miss Lin." Wu Tianyue took the sword handed to him by the little girl and said to Lu Chen who was holding the weapon.
Seeing that she agreed, he went downstairs to the deck with his sword.
"Prince." The palace's chief historian had hurried over. "How are you?"
Wu Tianyue shook his head and asked, "How is things going over there, Father?"
"Your Highness is fine," the chief historian replied. "These people are not like ordinary pirates. They only cut the mast and sail, but did not hurt anyone."
"Are there any bandits in this world who would dare to rob the Zhongshun Palace upon seeing its flag?" Wu Tianyue speculated with a frown, "They must have other motives."
As he spoke, he crossed the boat bridge to another ship, and the chief historian hurriedly followed.
Prince Zhongshun was standing on the deck, sword in hand, ordering his men to give chase. Seeing Wu Tianyue approaching, he went up to him and asked, "Are you injured?"
"No." Wu Tianyue replied, "When I went downstairs, those people had disappeared."
King Zhongshun took Wu Tianyue for a careful examination and was relieved to see that he was indeed fine.
The two men discussed for a while on the boat, and then the guards who had just been sent out came back, and found that no one was caught.
"Your Highness, please calm down." Seeing King Zhongshun's face darken, everyone knelt down and begged for mercy.
The chief historian also excused them: "This area is all wild and desolate. The nearest town is three days away by horseback. Those people are obviously good swimmers. There aren't many guards in the palace who can swim..."
"Those who patrol today will be fined two months' wages and given ten strokes of the cane." Prince Zhongshun knew this, but he didn't blame them. He simply ordered the Chief Secretary, "The number of guards on board will be doubled."
"Yes." The chief official responded quickly and went down to make arrangements.
"Yangzhou is in trouble." Wu Tianyue pondered for a long time, then suddenly had an idea and said to King Zhongshun, "Huaiyang is home to many water towns. If you were to ask where the best sailors are in the country, it would definitely be there. These people aren't hurting anyone, they're just chopping off masts. I'm afraid they're here to stop us."
"Not many people know that we went to Yangzhou with the Jia family. It must be the Jia family who leaked our whereabouts." Prince Zhongshun easily put the blame on the Rongguo Mansion. "In that case, Lin Ruhai is in great danger."
"Find the nearest port to dock and spread the word that the ship was attacked. I was frightened and my condition has worsened. I am now being treated for my injuries." Wu Tianyue pretended not to hear his father's usual dislike for the Jia family and suggested enthusiastically, "Select a group of elite soldiers and generals, dock immediately, and follow me to Yangzhou to rescue them."
"Absolutely not." The Chief Historian came in to arrange things and heard Wu Tianyue's words. He was shocked and said, "The Crown Prince is so noble, how can you take such a risk?"
Wu Tianyue smiled proudly and said, "Do you think there is anyone on this ship who can beat me?"
The Chief Clerk also remembered that his young master was born with supernatural powers and was very fond of martial arts. Although he was young, the guards in the mansion could not defeat him unless they fought desperately. He was choked with anger and speechless for a moment.
"Put aside your thoughts!" Prince Zhongshun scolded. "All you think about is fighting and killing..."
"It won't be my turn to go to the battlefield in the future. I practice martial arts only to strengthen my body..." Wu Tianyue continued, "You keep saying the same thing all day long. I'm tired of hearing it even if you don't say it."
"Anyway, this is impossible, so just stay here and behave yourself."
After King Zhongshun finished speaking, regardless of his angrily accusing him of plagiarizing the plan, he ordered the Chief Secretary, "Quickly dock and select a team to set off overnight. Delaying will lead to trouble."
Wu Tianyue watched the chief historian retreat and pleaded, "Father, the palace guards are so formidable, even if I go with them, nothing will happen to me."
"You sleep with me today." King Zhongshun glanced at him and ignored him.
Wu Tianyue tried to persuade King Zhongshun for a long time, but he refused to give in, so he had to come out dejected.
The people on the boat had received instructions in advance, but seeing that he was just wandering around the boat, they just followed him from a distance.
Wu Tianyue came downstairs and saw a strange servant peeking over there. He asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
"Greetings, Prince." The servant hurriedly stepped forward and replied, trembling. "I am Xing'er, serving Master Lian. Master Lian asked me to ask if there is anything we can do."
"Stay in your rooms and don't wander around." Wu Tianyue ordered coldly, then suddenly thought of something and warned, "Miss Lin is weak, don't let her know about this."
Jia Lian had been a pampered young man since childhood, and he rarely went out hunting. Naturally, the servants around him had never experienced this. When they heard Wu Tianyue say this, they replied fearfully, "Yes."
Wu Tianyue glanced at him with disdain. Seeing that everyone was staring at him, he felt irritated and worried about Daiyu. He stood up and went upstairs to discuss with Prince Zhongshun: "I'm going to go see Sister Lin."
Prince Zhongshun looked at him suspiciously. This guy was annoyed with the girl before, why was he calling her so intimately now?
Suddenly, he thought of Daiyu's appearance and nodded in understanding: "Go ahead, but don't play tricks on me."
After saying that, he asked someone to follow him closely.
Wu Tianyue curled his lips and returned to the boat with the tail sent by King Zhongshun. Seeing that she was about to follow him upstairs, he said, "Just wait downstairs. Can I jump off the boat and run away? Don't treat me as a prisoner."
"I dare not."
Seeing that she had stopped, Wu Tianyue snorted coldly and went to Daiyu's room.
Daiyu had long since stopped being angry. Seeing him coming, she asked with concern, "What happened? Are you hurt?"
"You're not angry anymore?" Wu Tianyue was still thinking about how to apologize, but when he saw that she looked normal, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Daiyu heard what he said and said through gritted teeth, "Do you want me to be angry?"
"No, no." Wu Tianyue saw the anger welling up on her face again and hurriedly explained, "It wasn't an enemy attack just now. It was important news coming from the capital. The mast happened to be broken and the ship was rocking, so there was a misunderstanding."
Daiyu was suspicious, but since the message was sent so urgently, it must be a serious matter and she had no right to know, so she nodded to show that she understood.
"I'll be on the boat over there for the next few days. If you're bored, go play on the deck. Lan Ye will get rid of the others. Don't stay cooped up in the house all day." Wu Tianyue continued, "If there's anything, send a message."
Seeing her look of doubt, perhaps seeing something, Wu Tianyue continued with a stiff upper lip: "Don't worry, how could I lie to you?"
"Hasn't that been enough of your lies?" Daiyu sneered, ignored him, and picked up a book to read.
Wu Tianyue had something to hide, but he didn't refute it. He turned around and went back to his room, where he locked himself up and fiddled with something.
In the evening, after having dinner with Daiyu, someone from Prince Zhongshun came to call him.
Wu Tianyue said goodbye to Daiyu and went over without saying much. He obediently moved into Prince Zhongshun's house.
King Zhongshun was very uneasy about his obedience and had him brought in from outside.
Seeing this, Wu Tianyue made a fuss for a while, but in the end he couldn't persuade King Zhongshun and slept with him.
The next day, the maidservant asked several times outside the door, but Prince Zhongshun and Wu Tianyue did not say a word. Seeing that it was already noon and there was still no news, she realized that something was wrong and hurried to report to the chief historian.
The chief historian also discovered that a horse was missing, and brought people to report to Prince Zhongshun. After hearing this, he hurried into the house to check, only to see Prince Zhongshun lying on the bed, and Wu Tianyue was nowhere to be seen.
"How could this happen?" The maidservant was terrified. "Yesterday, the prince said he didn't want anyone to keep watch, so the prince asked us all to leave."
"Go find the imperial physician." The chief official stepped forward to check and found that Prince Zhongshun had just fainted and was not seriously injured, so he breathed a sigh of relief.
After the imperial physician came to treat him, Prince Zhongshun slowly woke up.
He opened his eyes and scanned the crowd, only to find that Wu Tianyue was indeed gone. He gritted his teeth and said, "That brat actually dared to hit his own father."
"Your Highness, please calm down," the Chief Historian consoled him. "I've just checked and the Crown Prince has money, pills, and weapons with him. He'll be fine."
Prince Zhongshun felt relieved, but he still said angrily, "I don't care if he's okay or not. Just wait and see how I deal with him when I get to Yangzhou."
