Chapter 233 Going to Sea

"Someone is already waiting for us." Wu Xie said. Gu Can didn't ask any more questions, simply packed his luggage, and followed Wu Xie.

"His name is Zhang Hao, that's Aning. This is Gu Can." Wu Xie introduced the three of them.

"They are from an international marine resources company and they came to us this time."

"I'm looking for you." Gu Can corrected.

"They came to me this time because my third uncle rented their boat and equipment and then disappeared."

"I came all the way to Hangzhou to find you. You're really that sure, you know?" Gu Can looked at the two of them with amusement, especially the bald Zhang. Who would have thought that this person was the taciturn young man?

"There are indeed some unavoidable reasons for this." Wu Xie knew that Gu Can hated these illegal operations the most. She was a staunch Communist Party member!

"What reason could there be? It's nothing more than the lack of a salvage license. Aning, we're international mercenaries, our boss is Jude Kao, and what you're looking for is the underwater tomb in the Paracel Islands. 'Squeak~~~'" As Gu Can finished speaking, the car suddenly braked.

"Who are you?" Aning looked at Gu Can and asked.

"What a coincidence, I want to know too." Gu Can did not dodge and let Aning look at him.

Even Wu Xie stared at Gu Can and the bald Zhang next to him in shock. It had to be said that there were only wrong names, not wrong nicknames. Gu Can didn't dare look at Zhang Hao, and couldn't help but laugh at the thought of Zhang Qiling beneath the mask.

"Didn't you say that time is running out?" Gu Can leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and stopped talking.

The car fell into silence, and no one asked Gu Can anything until they arrived in Hainan.

After they had discussed and rented a boat, Gu Can just quietly followed with his luggage. Gu Can had no interest in looking at the sea, and ignored Wu Xie's excitement, and went into the cabin to rest.

"Why do you insist on taking her with you?" Aning asked Wu Xie.

"Are you really a mercenary?" Wu Xie asked back.

"Whether it is or not, our goal is the same now." Aning replied calmly.

"Really? I think our goals are different." Wu Xie didn't back down. Is he so arrogant just because he's good-looking? After watching Gu Can for a few years, he has become immune to pretty girls!

"Anyway, keep an eye on that porcelain doll. We have no one to protect her." After saying that, Aning also went back to the cabin.

"I'll use your protection, just don't hold me back." Wu Xie has 100% confidence in Gu Can, just like he feels safe around that little brother. Humph~~

"She's not a porcelain doll," Wu Xie muttered softly. But Gu Can's appearance was truly deceptive. If you were to ask how different she was, it would probably be Lin Daiyu, who could uproot a weeping willow tree.

When he woke up, he heard the news that a storm was coming. Gu Can went out to help.

"Cancan, this is very dangerous. Go back to the cabin first. Don't come out until I call you." Wu Xie said quickly when he saw Gu Can coming out. Gu Can thought for a moment, then took off the golden bracelet on her wrist and put it on his wrist.

"If there is any danger, press here. Although this thread is thin, it can bear more than 20 tons of weight. It is also one thousand meters long." Gu Can said, pointing to a small silver dot on the bracelet.

"Okay, I got it. You can go in quickly." Wu Xie knew Gu Can, and it was useless to say anything at this time.

Seeing that Wu Xie was wearing the bracelet obediently, Gu Can turned and went into the cabin. He knocked out the man named Wu Yong, brought him into the cabin and tied him to a rack.

When everything calmed down, Gu Can stood at the bow, waiting to pick up Wu Xie and the others, and soon discovered the location of the ghost ship.

"How are you?" The captain on the boat waved his hand.

Baldy Zhang carried Aning on his back and waved to the fishing boat. The people on the fishing boat cheered.

Gu Can raised his hand and a very thin silk thread appeared, connecting the two ships together. Gu Can tapped his toes a few times and landed on the ghost ship on the opposite side.

"Cancan!" Wu Xie relaxed a bit when he saw it was Gu Can. Gu Can simply nodded, picked him up, and with a few taps of his toes, he returned to the boat. He then brought Aning and Zhang Tuzi back to the boat in the same way and collected the silk thread.

"Sail the boat, sail the boat, let's get out of this damn place!" When the captain saw that there was no need to get close and everyone had returned, he immediately moved the boat away.

Someone put Aning on the ground, and asked Gu Can to support her and lift up her hair.

Two withered hands were curled up in Aning's hair. They weren't very long, their skin a bit petrified, and the ends were growing underneath a mass of flesh. The most disgusting thing was that a small human face vaguely grew on the flesh. Through some unknown mechanism, it was tightly attached to the back of Aning's head.

The captain's expression became serious. He kowtowed to the thing several times, then took out a handful of something from his pocket and sprinkled it on the little face. The little face suddenly screamed and twisted. He pulled out a knife, carefully but quickly inserted it between the tumor and the hair, picked up the tumor, and then pulled it off with force.

The thing fell to the ground, twisting and turning, making everyone step back in fear, and soon it melted into a mass of paste, flowing down the cracks in the deck.

"What is this?" Wu Xie asked.

"The human-faced snake is the wronged soul from the ghost ship. Just sprinkle some cow hair on it," explained the captain.

The captain's expression showed that he deeply regretted taking on this business. After a careful inspection, he found nothing else in Aning's hair and told his men to go to the rear cabin. After a while, the boat started moving.

The sea has calmed down and this storm has finally passed.

"Cancan, glad you came."
