Every splash of oil seemed to dance in the air, carrying with it the alluring aroma. People were drawn in, their eyes glued to the tofu being fried in the pan, their throats churning and their mouths watering without even noticing.
After the tofu was fried, it was placed in a large bowl and handed to Gu Liang, who was standing nearby. He turned and pulled out a small jar from under the simple stall. He opened the lid, and a pungent yet alluring aroma filled his nostrils. The chili oil in the jar was a dazzling red, a perfect blend of chili seeds and chili oil, with a few sesame seeds floating on top.
Gu Liang used a small spoon to scoop some oil-splashed chili into a bowl, adding some other secret seasonings. He then removed the fried tofu, drained it of oil, and placed it in a bowl. He used the scissors he had prepared to cut it into small pieces, then quickly stirred them with chopsticks. The tofu, coated in the seasoning, became even more attractive, each piece covered in the red sauce.
"Come and try our special spicy fried tofu!" Gu Liang called out. Customers, already hungry by the spectacle, gathered around to buy.
A bite of tofu, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with the unique flavor of the secret seasoning, especially the fiery spiciness of the chili oil, is simply irresistible. Soon, a long line formed in front of the previously quiet stall. The three of them were busy and happy, their faces filled with satisfied smiles.
Just when business was booming, a few people in fancy clothes suddenly came in. They looked at the simple stall with disdain in their eyes.
"How dare you sell such vulgar food here?" said one of the leading men.
