These three "troublemakers" saw that Jiang Huashu had fooled the people with his tricks and no one listened to them anymore. So they gathered at Qin Shuilian's house this afternoon to discuss the next countermeasures.
The two elders were from Beiduan Village. Brothers Zhang Wanli and Zhang Wanguang, both in their sixties, had traveled extensively in their youth and were quite knowledgeable. Their families were considered well-off, so they held a certain prestige in the village. Qin Shuilian's family lived in Guobei Village. The two villages shared adjacent fields, so they often ran into each other while working on the production teams.
Ever since Qin Shuilian caused such a scene at the pharmaceutical factory gate, everyone in the surrounding villages knew her name. It wasn't a good reputation, though; she was often accused of being scammed out of money and sex, or of having a false husband.
She didn't like to hear any of this. She thought that she would never be able to achieve the titles she had originally dreamed of: wife of a pharmaceutical factory, rich person, etc.
The atmosphere in Qin Shuilian's home was unusually gloomy. The two brothers, Zhang Wanli and Zhang Wanguang, sat at a worn wooden table with two cups of long-cold tea on their faces. Their eyes were filled with resentment and calculation.
"That kid Jiang Huashu is getting more and more cunning." Zhang Wanli was the first to break the silence. He sighed heavily and touched his bald head. "He rented the land for his factory from our village, but he doesn't even take people like us, the older generation, seriously."
Zhang Wanguang took over the conversation, his face filled with indignation, saying, "Yes, in order to get a job in the factory, everyone now listens to him. We keep running to the pharmaceutical factory to see when they'll hire again. Who takes us seriously anymore?"
Qin Shuilian agreed, "Hmph, I think he won't cry until he sees the coffin. With such a big factory, he must be very rich. We only ask for such a small amount, but he is reluctant to give it to us." As she spoke, she raised her right hand and gestured with her fingers to show how little she wanted.
The three of them became more and more excited as they spoke, as if they wanted to vent all their dissatisfaction.
As they were talking and gesturing intensely, Qin Shuilian suddenly asked, "What should we do next?"
The three of them suddenly became quiet, each thinking about what else they could use as leverage to blackmail Jiang Huashu.
Qin Shuilian pondered for a moment, then slowly said, "We can't do the same thing as before. We need to change our thinking. The previous one doesn't work for him."
"What idea?" Zhang Wanguang asked anxiously.
Qin Shuilian smiled slightly, a hint of viciousness flashed in her eyes: "We can..."
In this way, under Qin Shuilian's planning, a new plan quietly took shape. They decided to start with the pollution of drainage from the pharmaceutical factory.
"We can collect some wastewater samples discharged from pharmaceutical factories, and then find some reporters to expose them." Qin Shuilian smiled proudly, and she seemed to be full of confidence in the next plan.
"Will this work?" Zhang Wanli asked doubtfully.
"Why not?" Qin Shuilian glared at him. "As long as it attracts the attention of the higher-ups, Jiang Huashu will definitely be involved."
Zhang Wanguang nodded repeatedly to show his agreement.
So, the three of them started to act separately. Zhang Wanli and Zhang Wanguang were responsible for collecting sewage samples, while Qin Shuilian took the train to the province to find reporters.
A few days later, a report about a pharmaceutical factory polluting nearby farmland appeared in the newspaper, attracting widespread public attention. Higher authorities immediately launched an investigation into the pharmaceutical factory. While at work, Jiang Huashu received the newspaper that Fifth Grandpa had sent him via space.
"Hahaha, let's see how arrogant he can be now!" Qin Shuilian looked at the newspaper and laughed from ear to ear.
