Chapter 429 Sweet Troubles (Part 7)

Jiang Shaoming first learned about Han Mei in the army, when he was still a young boy. Because of his family's ancestral teachings, he never told anyone that his father was a general, even though his father was already a general during the Anti-Japanese War. Even Jiang Shaoming didn't tell anyone about it. Han Mei was the child of their army leader and was still in middle school.

After surrendering in 1945, Jiang Shaoming was transferred from the Death Squad to the Special Operations Squad. Special Operations members were hand-picked from thousands of miles away, ready to die at any moment. It was only when Old Man Chiang came to see him off that people realized he was the renowned eldest son of the Jiang family in Shanghai.

Han Mei was only a teenager at that time, but Jiang Shaoming didn't understand any of this, so he ignored Han Mei.

At the age of 19, Jiang Shaoming returned home to get married and have children.

After returning, Jiang Shaoming accidentally discovered that Han Mei had been in contact with a member of the Kuomintang. However, by then, the truth was already known, so Jiang Shaoming did not report Han Mei.

Decades passed like this, until a few days ago when Han Mei started harassing him.

What needs to be clarified now is whether Han Mei and his father were involved in this matter.

If she participated, was it only Han Mei herself or was her father involved as well?

If the robbers were soldiers, then were these four domestic soldiers?

Jiang Shaoming suspected they weren't from our country, because he knew our soldiers well. Their patriotism was ingrained in them. Once a soldier, always a soldier! Veterans are always ready, ready to return if called upon! They wouldn't do such a thing.

Xiaoqi came back with some people and captured someone.

The big guy stepped forward and looked up. Oh, isn't this the man the fruit shop owner mentioned? He looks exactly like the sketch. How could he be caught so easily? This can't be right!

Turning to look at Xiaoqi, Xiaoqi smiled bitterly and said, "Falling ghost."

The big guy understood. The robbers were afraid of being exposed, so they paid the underlings to help them monitor the daily cash transport. The underlings wouldn't be able to get anything out of them, and their words would be worthless. All their previous efforts were in vain. These four robbers were truly cunning.

The clue was broken.

The non-stop work, day and night, was too much for even steel to bear, so Jiang Shaoming asked everyone to rest on the spot.

About twenty minutes later, the big guy who was catching up on his sleep on the chair suddenly jumped up as if he had come back to life. He was stunned for three seconds and then slapped himself hard in the face. It was so loud that everyone was shocked.

Jiang Shaoming also looked at the big guy, his eyes full of confusion: How come he is almost forty years old and still so irritable, even hitting himself in his sleep and dreams.

Before he could finish his sigh, the big guy shouted loudly: "Painter, where is the painter?"

The public security officer who was reading the materials nearby came over quickly and said, "I am a painter."

"Hurry, hurry, get some paper and a pen, I just saw the bandits!" The big guy said as he slapped himself in the face again in anger.

There were always people watching the excitement outside. At first, the police tried to drive them away, but later, there were not so many people around and no one cared.

Some criminals have this mentality, being extremely confident in their methods and believing that no one can find them, so they kill people and don't run away. Some even hide in the crowd and watch the excitement, watching how the police solve the case.
