Chapter 469: Alchemy (Part 2)

As the night deepened, the group returned to a small house near the university. Though exhausted, their eyes gleamed with excitement and anticipation. They knew they were one step closer to the truth.

Zhuang Qiuqiu pretended to follow Suihe and fell asleep in the hotel. Zhuang Qiuqiu did not participate in this exploration to prevent the middle-aged man from suddenly coming to the hotel to find Suihe.

Before, he would sometimes come suddenly in the middle of the night and look for Suihe to drink.

As time passed, the darkness deepened, and the street lights gradually dimmed, leaving only the occasional passing car to break the silence. However, in this seemingly peaceful night, an unknown battle was quietly unfolding.

Suddenly, the sound of light footsteps broke the silence.

The footsteps grew closer, finally stopping in front of the iron gate. The door was gently pushed open, and a figure slowly walked in. She was tall, wearing a long black dress and high heels. Her face was covered by a silver mask, revealing only a pair of deep eyes.

From clothes to shoes, everything is exquisite and not made in China.

She walked into the room and looked around, as if searching for something. Suddenly, her eyes fixed on a photo. It was a smiling woman, exactly herself beneath the mask. Her eyes sharpened as she stared at the photo, as if she were pondering something.

After about two or three minutes, the woman walked forward, turned the photo frame, and the wall on the left suddenly moved outward.

She gently pushed the wall, and a hidden door quietly appeared, as if leading to an unknown world. The woman walked in without hesitation, and her figure disappeared into the darkness.

After about thirty seconds, the secret door closed automatically.

After passing through the secret door, there was a long corridor with closed doors on both sides. Walking along the corridor, every step was filled with tension and anticipation.

Finally, the woman reached the end of the corridor, and a vast room appeared before them. The room was filled with all sorts of strange instruments and books, and the walls were covered with intricate drawings and photographs. In the center of the room, a massive machine was spinning, emitting a low, humming sound.

Next to the machine, a blond, blue-eyed foreign man was concentrating on observing its operation. He seemed not to notice the woman's arrival until she walked up behind him and put her arms around his waist. The foreigner then turned around suddenly.

The foreign man was startled by the sudden movement, but a surprised smile soon appeared on his face, and soon his surprise turned into love: "You are finally here, I have been waiting for you for a long time." The foreign man spoke in fluent Chinese, his voice with a hint of excitement and anticipation.

The woman did not answer, but smiled faintly. There seemed to be a small hook in her eyes when she looked at the foreign man, which made the foreign man stare at the woman without blinking.

The woman looked at the man and was very satisfied. She liked seeing the other person feel that they were in love but could not be together. Then she pointed to the machine in the middle of the room.

"What is this?" she asked.

The foreign man explained in a servile manner: "This is an advanced energy converter that can convert any form of energy into the required energy. Its energy source is..." He paused, then pointed to a pile of clothes in the corner of the basement.

"How many people were used at a time?" the woman asked in a low voice.

The foreign man said as if he was talking about the weather today: "Five, must be pure yang."

The woman was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "You foreigners still believe this?"
