Jiang Shaoming trusts Zhengnan very much. Since he works in Kyoto all year round and has no time to come back, he leaves all the gang affairs to Zhengnan. Even though Mr. Jiang's former confidants are still in the gang, they are old and rarely come, so in the eyes of outsiders, the gang now belongs to Zhengnan.
This is why Zhengnan's wife complained. She didn't know the inside story of what happened in the past. She only knew that Zhengnan had worked hard to manage the gang, and then you, as the boss, ignored it all year round. As a result, when you came back for the New Year, you passed the gang that Zhengnan had worked so hard to build to your son, and no one knew where this son came from.
She was definitely unwilling to accept this, so she complained to Zhengnan and his gang members. After hearing her words for a long time, people began to believe that what she said was true. Gradually, the atmosphere within the gang began to change, and the original atmosphere of unity was replaced by a subtle suspicion and dissatisfaction.
After more than a month, Zhengnan was finally brainwashed and began to plan his own company. Jiang Shaoming was a generous man, and Zhengnan had accumulated quite a bit of savings after being in the gang for so many years.
He picked a few trusted brothers in the gang, found a place to set up an office, and even named his wife as the legal representative.
After the company was established, his wife ran around in the name of not letting Zhengnan get tired. Zhengnan didn't have to do any work except looking at financial statements every day and listening to his subordinates' work reports.
But these things were too unfamiliar to Zhengnan, as he had always been in charge of everything in the gang.
But his wife told him to be a boss and not have to work as hard as in a gang. Zhengnan also felt that his wife loved him, so he accepted it.
After the new company opened, Zhengnan's wife contacted many old clients under the guise of the gang's new company. The company didn't have a good source of goods, but that didn't matter. Zhengnan's wife led her men to the gang's warehouse, took the goods away, and then had the accountant cook the books at home, keeping the boss a secret. At first, the gang members were afraid to do anything, as the boss wouldn't know about the gang's rules if they found out. However, the second-in-command's wife was a skilled person, and soon she successfully broke the willpower of the younger gang members. Thus began her betrayal of Jiang Shaoming.
Zhengnan didn't know about it when he went to the warehouse to pick up the goods. Although he discovered the problem later, he did not stop it in time, but chose to remain silent.
Jiang Shaoming, busy with work in Kyoto, was not unaware of the many changes taking place within the gang. He had only seen Zhengnan once, during the Lunar New Year holiday. Zhengnan would sometimes call him. He knew that Zhengnan was one of his closest people in the world, a capable assistant he had personally trained. He couldn't bear to see Zhengnan be deceived by rumors, nor could he bear to see the gang divided because of his personal grudges.
So, Jiang Shaoming decided to have a good talk with Zhengnan.
One evening, Jiang Shaoming invited Zhengnan to the teahouse they used to frequent. They sat opposite each other, and Jiang Shaoming poured Zhengnan a cup of hot tea before slowly speaking, "Zhengnan, do you know why I'm leaving the gang to you?"
Zhengnan raised his head, looked into Jiang Shaoming's eyes, and said, "Because Big Brother trusts me."
Jiang Shaoming nodded, then shook his head: "Trust is one thing, but more importantly, you have the ability and the responsibility. The gang doesn't belong to one person, it belongs to all of us. We need to unite to survive in this era."
