Suihe had several reasons for retiring. One was physical. He'd been wounded numerous times over the years, and none of his serious injuries had healed well. Whenever it rained or was cloudy, his entire body ached, requiring him to rely on painkillers. The second reason was that he felt his age was hindering him from carrying heavy loads during training.
It's not that he didn't work hard, but he's reached his limit. my country's special forces have clear regulations for military service; you can't just serve as a soldier for as long as you want. If you don't meet the requirements, you're just going to die on the battlefield. Therefore, if you don't meet the requirements, you won't be allowed to continue. This is a responsibility to every soldier and his teammates.
Suihe was a very upright boy. He felt that he was not capable of this position and would not continue to occupy it. Instead, he wanted to report and leave the army to give the position to other brothers. This is why the superiors quickly informed Jiang Shaoming that Suihe was going to leave the army.
After Jiang Shaoming found out, he flew to Suihe's camp overnight. Now he was just relying on the fact that he didn't have a private plane. In a few years, he wouldn't be able to fly around so casually.
When they reached a point fifty kilometers from the camp, they folded up their planes and drove. There were very few cars in the wilderness, so Jiang Shaoming simply stepped on the accelerator and reached the destination in a matter of minutes. By now, Fifth Grandpa and Jiang Huashu had mastered every mode of transportation in the space; they even knew how to ride the balance bike!
After arriving at Suihe's camp, I submitted a meeting request and met Suihe soon after. The two of us talked for more than two hours.
After understanding the situation, Jiang Shaoming also agreed to Suihe's application for discharge from the army. The child had indeed too many injuries. Jiang Shaoming understood this helplessness. His heart and brain wanted to continue serving in the army, but his body could not support him. This was why he discharged from the army.
After comforting Suihe, Jiang Huashu flew back to Kyoto and explained everything to Old Man Jiang, hiding the fact that he had flown there. Old Mrs. Jiang was heartbroken for her grandson, and Professor Dong was heartbroken for his nephew. They both burst into tears, and Jiang Huashu could only comfort them. It was good this way; after returning from the army, he could see Suihe every day, and they both burst into laughter again.
The happiest people weren't Mrs. Jiang or Professor Dong, but Peppa and George. The two kids' admiration for their brother was simply unbelievable.
A few days later, Jiang Shaoming asked his men to complete the special recruitment application procedures, and he signed it himself, recruiting Suihe directly into his team.
At the end of the month, Jiang Huashu and Professor Dong drove to pick up Suihe, who had just retired from the army. Although there were only three of them, the car was packed to the brim with stuff. A small portion of it was smuggled into the space by Professor Dong, otherwise it wouldn't have fit.
This truckload of stuff was, of course, thanks to Professor Dong. Suihe was mailed new clothes every season, and his underwear was replaced every few months. The entire team knew Suihe's family cared deeply for him. Young men looking for blind dates would borrow his clothes—though, of course, they'd never return. Young soldiers who didn't have underwear would simply go to Suihe's closet and get new ones.
Some of them were given away before they came back, and there were some in the warehouse. Professor Dong thought they were old and out of fashion, so he gave them all to his easy-going comrades. The happy young soldiers were not given any. Most of the soldiers here came from rural areas, and they sent all their allowances back home, leaving very little for themselves.
