Chapter 877 The Cave Across

At five o'clock sharp, the picture on the monitor seemed to be still, and everyone was fast asleep.

Suihe and an experienced warrior approached the cave together. The dog at the entrance was fast asleep on the ground after eating some leftovers.

The soldier approached first and threw two meatballs to the dog. These were mixed with a drug that Li Yichen had made in the space. The big wolf dog did not react at all and continued to sleep.

The soldier approached and confirmed that the dog was fast asleep, and wanted to make a gesture to Suihe. Suihe came out from the bushes not far away and the two of them went straight into the cave. Seeing the person inside sleeping soundly, the soldier quickly came out to signal for the main force to come in and abduct the person.

After the large army arrived, there was a clear division of labor. Some people were specifically going for weapons, and some were specifically going for people. In less than ten minutes, all the weapons were loaded onto four carts.

Three vehicles carried people, and one vehicle carried weapons. The remaining bombs and other dangerous items were removed by the soldiers and carried back on their backs. Even the sleeping big wolfhound was not abandoned. The soldiers tied its mouth and feet and put it on the cart.

Because each cart was overloaded with people, and the mountain roads were difficult to navigate, the soldiers tied two ropes to the front of the four carts. Two of them would pull the carts from the front, while the rear was just for stability.

After walking a long way up the mountain, around to the other side of the cave, they arrived at the designated location and escorted the soundly sleeping assassins to the long-awaited helicopter. Half of the troops boarded the plane and returned to their unit, while the rest of the group continued to sneak towards the cave opposite at dusk.

There were only three people in the cave opposite, two men and one woman, so they didn't need too many soldiers to deal with them. All the soldiers in the mine clearance team stayed behind. They were almost at the construction site. The two kitchen chefs had to prepare lunch and dinner, and they also had to be careful that there might be accomplices of Kikuno among the workers. Therefore, in the limited time, they only found one explosive pack, and the other two were missing.

After arriving, the soldiers split up and quickly found two more hiding places for the explosives. One was stuffed firmly into the beams of the newly built house.

There was a grave in the kitchen where people ate. Because it was buried yesterday and it hadn't rained, the color of the soil was slightly different and it was quickly discovered by the soldiers.

After digging it out and dismantling it directly, the soldiers were still worried, so they searched around again and only stopped after making sure there was no danger.

The construction workers didn't know what was going on, and were all arranged to sit and eat in a nearby open space. Suihe stared at these people intently. If there were any accomplices, he would be able to find them immediately.

After observing for a while, he found no unusual individuals. He actually thought these people were normal, but what if there were any skilled disguises? It was better to be cautious.

Li Yichen led his men to approach the cave opposite and used a micro-monitor to check the situation inside the cave.

Li Yichen had already installed a miniature camera in the cave, but this type of camera was too advanced and didn't exist in that era, so Li Yichen simply didn't tell anyone about it, and generally no one would notice it. After entering, he would take advantage of the gap when no one was paying attention to put the miniature camera into the space and that was it.

The three men inside were easily apprehended, requiring minimal effort. It could be argued that these three men weren't particularly skilled fighters; they were simply locals. A girl had run away from her marriage, unhappy with her family's choice of husband. These two men were her childhood sweethearts, and they planned to temporarily hide in the mountains until she gave birth, so her parents wouldn't force a marriage.
