Chapter 103 Interrupted Clues

With a loud crash, the various joints of the armor came apart and then shattered into pieces.

The bear spirit's body couldn't possibly be as robust as the armor, and it couldn't withstand Mark's torment at all.

It's no longer a one-on-one situation; everyone is helping out.

Snow Eagle broke through the boundary stone, growing from a mere six eagles to twelve, and then from twelve to twenty-four. More and more eagles gathered in the sky, all coming from the other side of the mountain to visit the victor.

The wizard appeared as an observer, and although he did not show his face, he smiled in a way that seemed like a two-faced person. Rather than a battle of many against few, the larger side was clearly no match for the larger one; their enormous size only meant they would take a few more hits.

Flames, ice, arrows of light, and iron fists appeared here and there, and all sorts of swords, spears, and clubs danced wildly in the air. The giant crater looked more and more like a human grave.

The battle was over in just a short while.

Even two hundred or so bear spirits couldn't withstand a single round of attacks.

“Your turn.” Billis gave the wizard the middle finger.

Perhaps the wizard didn't understand the gesture and mistakenly thought it meant he was being told to look at the sky.

He looked up at the sky for a while, where there were blood-stained tentacles everywhere.

The circular matrix behind it, like an eye, blinked and exhaled a chilling breath, filled with foul-smelling substances, like a belly that could never be filled.

Even though they are powerful enough to tear through space, the monsters inside the matrix do not dare to come out on their own.

The wizard tore open another bandage, revealing almost no flesh inside, but sometimes intertwined snakes that didn't seem like living things at all.

As before, he dipped a bandage in something, smelled it, and found it as disgusting as a dog circling around feces.

Who could have imagined what would happen next?

Suddenly, an altar appeared in the matrix ring. The part exposed above the ground resembled a furnace for sacrificial animals, with two holes drilled in it. Dead plants completely covered the exposed part.

The altar itself looked unusually smooth, so it couldn't be stone. It was made of a building material that had never been seen before, which was closer to crystal. The lower half was translucent, while the upper half was black.

Dark light descended from the sky, landing squarely on the altar, like a machete slicing open a bean pod. Void arms connected from the matrix space to outer space, carrying away the corpses.

The bandages on the wizard's body grew back, and he was about to leave.

Billy yelled, "Don't run! Coward!"

It's unclear whether the wizard understood or not, but he chuckled twice, and another enormous monster immediately appeared in the matrix space.

A giant without a nose! He was thick and strong, with terrifyingly large hands, and his feet, chest, and back were covered in black hair. The iron chains wrapped around his body rattled loudly.

The wizard gave the giant a command: "Don't let them come any closer."

The chains on the giant immediately slipped off, and the matrix space gradually closed.

"Get out of the way!"

An arrow of light struck the heart, but to the thick-skinned giant, it was merely a tickle.

Elsa trapped the giant with her freezing ray, but the gorilla-like creature shattered the ice by striking its chest.

Lisa's flames pierced straight through his belly, burning a large hole. The giant screamed in pain and swung his chains.

The chain seemed to have grown up alongside his bones since childhood; whenever he reached out, the chain would slide, twist, and pull, making a clanging sound.

If you were hit by the chain, you would be smashed to pieces.

Things that run on the ground and things that fly in the sky, red flames and white ice, tiny and enormous, are all intertwined.

The giant suddenly burst into laughter, the sound emanating from the hollow that was originally his nose. His hard, stone-like chin looked extremely unnatural because of the laughter, as if a statue had cracked.

The giant used his left arm to pull the chain out of his bones and flung it to the ground, shattering the ice into pieces.

The giants' power grew stronger and stronger, and the battle had to be decided in the next second.

Lisa drew her red scythe and slashed down from the front, cutting the chain and the giant in two.

However, the matrix space has already completely closed.

Is the search for Mora and the Celestials about to end?

"What do we do next?" Billis asked.

Lisa, like a detective, strolled around the edge of the giant pit and discovered that the substances inside were completely different from those outside.

Unless you fly to a high place, you can't see the edge at all; the giant crater covers an area roughly half the size of the Hyperion ruins.

Lisa grabbed a snowball and threw it into the pit.

The snowball grew bigger and bigger, and surprisingly, it didn't hit any rocks along the way.

She picked up the snowball again and threw it in another direction, but it still didn't hit the stone.

In contrast, the surface ravaged by the giants was full of pits and craters, but the pits were very smooth, and the edges were not connected at all, with very obvious cutting marks.

Lisa deduced, "This used to be a complete area, but then something happened and it disappeared into thin air."

"Who but God has such ability?"

“Biris, try using Mark’s time portal. Do as I say and rewind history ten thousand years. If that’s not enough, keep going back.”

Billis enters the portal to another time and sees a sight he has never seen before.

As Lisa said, this place was flat land about 10,000 years ago.

An obelisk stands on flat ground, soaring into the clouds. Unprecedented sculptural art makes the luminous stone tablet shine. The sides are covered with carvings of rare birds and animals. How many years it has existed is impossible to verify in history, and it has never been recorded in the books of this other world.

The barbarians living here may not even know the value of the ancient obelisk, because many of the carvings on the walls have been destroyed. Some of the original artwork was meant to prove that a primitive civilization once existed here, but the barbarians have scribbled and vandalized it.

In addition, the original builders of the city designed this place as a maze, with murals painted on both sides. The murals depict scenes of burning statues and strange miners mining ore. Although these scenes are painted in a simple and easy-to-understand way, the barbarians did not care about the meaning of the murals.

At the center of the maze are five obelisks, each of a different height, and each topped with a crimson crystal.

The previous civilization had perished, and barbarians happened to discover this place, built houses on it, and after several generations of civilizations repaired it, the city of Hyperion was finally built during the time of the ancient Podrolod.

Billis told Lisa about the amazing news he had discovered.

Lisa thought about it carefully for a while and then asked, "Can your spacetime portal pinpoint a specific time period?"

“Darling, I’m afraid not. Mark’s portal to time is actually the same as your portal to hell. It can only randomly teleport you to a general location in history.”

"Then there's no way around it. Besides Mora and the Celestials, there are two more problems: Where did those obelisks go? Are they connected to the wizards?"

Lisa looked up at the sky with curiosity, and the other three also raised their heads, as if those obelisks had long since flown up into the sky.

At this moment, at the headquarters of the Hero Alliance, ten high-ranking members are holding an emergency meeting.

The intelligence department had another incident last night.

After discussing it for a while, no one could find a solution. Finally, the crocodile man, Ryan, who was sitting in the middle, gave his opinion.

"It's certain that Irenshere is still among us, so we can't let the agents stationed at the wall investigate this matter."

"He's a master of deception, a ruthless agent. Do you already have someone in mind to deal with him?"

"According to mission reports over the past year, four agents have completed multiple S-class missions. Just recently, they also ensured the successful completion of the Sky City satellite project."

"Trust a few new agents? Is that your proposal? Unless you can sign a guarantee, no one will agree."

"I can guarantee that."

The other nine members looked at Ryan, whispered among themselves for a while, and finally passed the proposal with seven votes in favor and three votes against.

The four agents are Lisa, Billis, Mia, and Aisha.

After the meeting, Renn left the Rebilio Obelisk and looked at the crimson ice crystals at the top of the tower. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his head.

'You did a great job!'

'Promise me, this is the last time. After it's done, get out of my head!'

'Don't worry, I'll give you everything you want.'

Who exactly are you?

'I am your most sincere friend; they call me Mora.'
