Chapter 1
"Abnormal vital signs detected in the bound object"
A mechanical voice rang out.
"Warning: The bound object's life signs are about to disappear."
"Zhu Yu! How could you..."
As the last, more humane voice rang out, it was as if a clear spring had been poured into Zhu Yu's muddled mind.
This is the "Loyal Soul System" issued by the state to every martyr buried far from home, allowing them to experience a different kind of life.
He was a helper she could absolutely trust.
Zhu Yu subconsciously believed this, so she slowly relaxed and let her consciousness sink into chaos.
"Initiating Level S emergency response plan, restart countdown: 3, 2, 1"
-
Excruciating pain, as if every bone in my body were being crushed, swept over my entire body.
"Zhu Yu? Zhu Yu, wake up!"
The familiar voice in her mind gently awakened Zhu Yu, who was enveloped in excruciating pain.
"Hah—cough cough cough cough"
Zhu Yu, who had just opened her eyes and was about to ask the system what was going on, froze on the spot.
"Okay, this girl who's standing up, come to the front. We'd like to ask another guy to help her with the scene. Who's willing to do it?"
When Zhu Yu opened her eyes, she found herself in a classroom, with all her classmates watching her and waiting for her to go on stage.
"What's going on?!" Zhu Yu cried out to the system in his mind.
"Zhu Yu, you scared me to death! I just broke into that nasty system's database, and before I could even convert its energy, the alarm went off."
The system's voice even sounded somewhat human, as if it had been shaken by something.
After it placed the jade into the host of the novel's world, it unexpectedly discovered that other systems also existed.
Another system relies on stirring up people's negative emotions for energy, which must be dealt with immediately.
"If I hadn't acted decisively, I almost wouldn't have been able to protect your soul energy!"
"Didn't you say this is a virtual world? Isn't it normal for me to fail a level and restart the game? How could it damage my soul?"
As Zhu Yu steered her somewhat stiff body toward the stage, she mentally battled with the system.
"Although it's a virtual world, your soul has no energy supply and can't withstand any fluctuations. Also, what did you go through during the time I was entangled with that wicked system?"
The system looked at the data it had scanned in the last moments before Zhu Yu's reincarnation in its database.
"The body you drew was already in bad shape, and you managed to make it so dilapidated. Even without the car accident, it wouldn't last much longer."
"Will I still be able to see how things are developing over there? I want to know if that mental hospital has been shut down."
"No, the situation was urgent at the time, and I didn't have time to choose other virtual worlds for you. I could only perform time reversal, so now we're back to the time before everything started."
"Rewind? So what am I now...?" Zhu Yu glanced at the note that the teacher had stuffed into her hand and the sentence written on it.
"Uh... I got a little excited and my energy output was a bit too high—you're in her college years right now."
"...Should I thank you for not sending me to high school?"
The teacher's gaze swept over again, seemingly asking Zhu Yu and the other boy who had been chosen to do something.
"Get ready and let's begin!"
Seeing that time was running out, the system quickly retrieved the memories of the current time, and Zhu Yu finally realized what was happening.
She is currently a student in the acting department, and at this moment, she has been selected to perform a scene with another classmate.
"I'm ready."
It wasn't until get out of class ended that Zhu Yu had time to continue arguing with the system.
"Is this right? Is this right? Didn't you tell me that I transmigrated into a novel world and that my character was a female celebrity embroiled in scandals?!"
Walking back to her dorm, the memories from before were so vivid and terrifying that even now, in the absolutely safe campus, she still felt a chill run down her spine.
The white light in the background flashed three times before going out, and then the system gave a somewhat laggy, almost human-like, reply that shouldn't be present in artificial intelligence.
"Yes, your identity is indeed... a female celebrity!"

In a brightly lit room with a high-tech decor, several people in white coats stood in front of a giant screen.
The image on the screen clearly showed Zhu Yu's appearance.
"The energy fluctuations are too great!"
In the center of the large control panel, a blinding red light flashed wildly, and the doctors in white coats shifted their gaze from the screen to the monitor of the hibernation pod behind them.
"This can't go on. Let's activate the backup plan."
Amidst a group of white coats, a man with three gold stars pinned to each side of his collar and slightly graying temples pondered for a few seconds before giving the order.

"By the way, host, I need to immediately escort the Dream System that I captured before the time rewind back to headquarters. For the next period of time, you'll have to rely on yourself!"
Zhu Yu had just put her hand into her bag to get the dormitory building access card when she heard the system say this.
But it doesn't matter whether she has a system or not. She lived a good life in her past life without a system, even though she was hit by a car and died.
Why was she hit and killed by a car?
Feeling her mind go blank, Zhu Yu subconsciously sensed something was wrong, but before she could figure it out, she was immediately overwhelmed by the memories that suddenly flooded into her mind, making her dizzy and disoriented.
"I've transferred the memories of this body to you. I'm leaving now, goodbye host!"
The system waved its sleeves without leaving a trace, and Zhu Yu struggled to pull her consciousness out of a jumble of chaotic memories.
I discovered that the thing flashing white light in my mind was indeed gone.
Okay, self-reliance will bring plenty!
Whether or not there's a system, Zhu Yu believes he can live a good life on his own!
After spending some time sorting through her memories, Zhu Yu went back to her dorm to change her clothes and then hurriedly went out again.
Zhu Yu's timeline has now reached the second semester of her junior year. She has teamed up with a group of classmates who also need to graduate and are working hard to complete their graduation practice.
She didn't get along well with her two other roommates, so she didn't team up with them for this graduation project.
But in her memory, Zhu Yu clearly saw that during her freshman year, she and two other girls were inseparable for a long time.
I just don't know what happened in between that caused these people to fall out.
Zhu Yu couldn't find any relevant memories, but it didn't matter. Anyway, they were all juniors now, and they usually went out at different times, so it was hard for them to run into each other.
While changing clothes, Zhu Yu stood in front of the mirror for a long time, looking at the face she had seen before, perhaps because it looked younger.
The person reflected in the mirror has a simple high ponytail, wears a white t-shirt and black pants, and has a clean and neat figure.
Upon meeting his own eyes, Zhu Yu was completely controlled for quite some time.
Those eyes seemed to draw out one's soul with a single glance, captivating and mesmerizing. Since she was about to go to film a movie, and a makeup artist would be on set, Zhu Yu didn't need to wear makeup.
She hastily grabbed some sunscreen, applied it to her face, and went out.
It must be said that her body is truly beautiful; even in this school full of beauties, she stands out from the crowd.
In order to better integrate her memories, Zhu Yu also checked messages on various communication tools while sorting through them.
She discovered something unexpected—she wasn't the school beauty.
It's not that Zhu Yu is narcissistic, but anyone standing in front of her would never say something as absurd as her being unworthy of being the school beauty.
In such a competitive environment, the original owner always dressed herself up in a drab and drab way, like an ordinary passerby.
why is that?
Zhu Yu didn't understand how a beautiful woman could reap so many benefits in this world just by relying on her looks.
Like the group I've joined now, because the people in the group are very influential, a lot of people applied when we were recruiting.
Zhu Yu's grades in her major courses at school weren't the best, and she almost got eliminated.
In my memory, Zhu Yu hid in the toilet and quickly combed her hair with water, just like she does now, tying it into a high ponytail that completely exposes her face.
So the role was hers.
But if her memory serves her right... her character in this drama seems to be a villainous woman who uses her beauty to commit crimes.
If I remember correctly, this show was indeed eventually broadcast to a nationwide audience...
Her portrayal of this character could easily lead viewers to believe that she is just a pretty face with no substance.
Once an actor is typecast, it's difficult to break free from that image.
On her way to the rehearsal hall, Zhu Yu didn't forget to take out the script to study.
Although she has no formal acting training and only has memories, she lacks her own understanding, so her acting skills are essentially zero...
But she is confident that she can play this role well!
"Watch out, classmate!"
As Zhu Yu walked along, reading the script, a sudden, strong force pulled her from behind, causing her to stumble and nearly fall.
"Hold on tight... I'm letting go." The owner of the hand behind her saw Zhu Yu about to fall and quickly pulled her up.
Shi Ru didn't understand why he rushed up to pull a girl away from a trash can when he saw her about to crash into it.
He's never been the type to meddle in other people's business.
"Uh... thank you." Zhu Yu was not in a good mood towards the culprit who almost made her fall.
But when she saw the trash can less than half a hand's width away, covered in black, unidentified stains and swarming with flies, she changed her mind.
She doesn't have OCD, but if the price is bumping into this trash can, then she does have OCD now.
"It's okay, but it's best not to look at other things while walking."
When Zhu Yu turned around to thank him, Shi Ru finally saw her face clearly.
It is a normal human need to like beautiful things.
Having found a reasonable explanation for his actions, Shi Ru offered a brief word of advice, then released Zhu Yu's hand and left stiffly.
Although this person had saved her, Zhu Yu looked up at the boy's back and noticed his bright red ears.
She recognized him; in her memories of her previous life, he would reach the pinnacle of business, a true tycoon.
However, the big shots we have now are obviously still immature. Why not take this opportunity to get to know them and make connections with them so that we can have more powerful backers in the future?
Zhu Yu shook her head, clearing her mind of the jumbled thoughts. A previous life? She had no previous life at all…
However, you could try to get closer to that person; consider it making friends.
