Ningxia had no choice but to take it and pour the remaining half bowl of porridge into it. She felt it was bad luck, but did not dare to resist.
After pouring the water, he shook the kettle to signal the old monkey that it was out of water. I don't know if the old monkey understood, but before the old monkey started drinking, the little monkey on its back started chirping again. Sangsang saw her new friend leaving and followed him.
Lin Yi was about to stop him, but Ningxia stopped him, saying, "Don't make things worse." The old monkey didn't make any move. Instead, it pulled the little monkey off its back and meekly pushed it in Sangsang's direction. The little monkey just didn't want to go because it was greedy for the porridge in its hand.
Not surprisingly, the little monkey was beaten by it again. When the old monkey had only a little drink left, he handed the leaf bowl to the little monkey next to him as a gesture of alms, and then started to chirp at Ningxia and the others.
Ningxia and Lin Yi looked at each other, not understanding what he meant. Before they could react, the old monkey turned around and made a few nimble jumps, disappearing into the forest.
The little monkey left on the ground did not chase it. After licking the last grain of rice on the leaf, he turned around and started playing with Sangsang.
Ningxia didn't understand what the old man and the boy meant. These creatures fight in groups and know human weaknesses. They will jump on you and dig out your eyeballs. Many people have been blinded by them, so they have a very bad reputation.
To be honest, this is the first time I have encountered such a docile monkey in Ningxia.
Look at the one next to Sangsang. The short, soft fur on its round head was pulled by Sangsang, making it stand up in wisps. But it didn't lose its temper. It raised its round face, scratched its ears and cheeks, and let her play with it. Its round black eyes were full of gentleness.
Ningxia went over and grabbed Sangsang, her expression somewhat serious. "Come here and stand still."
Sangsang looked at Ningxia in confusion.
"Who agreed to let you come over and play with it? Did you tell me before you came over? Did you tell your brother? If it wanted to hurt you, how would you avoid it? Tell me!" The little monkey tilted his head in confusion, not understanding why this human suddenly became so fierce.
Ningxia's tone was serious, and Lin Yi didn't even dare to smooth things over, let alone Sangsang who was at the center of the storm.
It was the first time that Ningxia was being mean to her. She felt a little helpless and her two little hands kept stirring in front of her body.
"Xia Xia...I'm sorry..."
"Don't apologize! You don't know what you did wrong. You're just apologizing for the sake of apologizing!" Ningxia stroked her hair violently. She didn't even know what she was saying. She was indeed very angry, but she still didn't know how to teach her children.
Sangsang's tears finally flowed down. Looking at Ningxia's back, she opened her mouth to say something but no sound came out.
Lin Yi looked at this and that, and when he saw that Ningxia's emotions had calmed down a little, he quietly walked to Sangsang and whispered something to his sister.
Ningxia secretly breathed a sigh of relief. As long as someone taught her, she could only take responsibility for losing her temper.
Before the three could even return to their beds, a swarm of monkeys suddenly burst out of the forest, and in a moment, a dense black mass stood before them. Ningxia tensed, raising her hand to block the two children.
Sangsang, who was behind her, looked at the furry creatures chirping in groups, and seemed to suddenly realize something. These... were not human... Her face suddenly lost its color, and she seemed to see the roaring and ferocious bear head again in front of her eyes, and her body trembled like a sieve.
Unfortunately, Ningxia and Lin Yi were both on high alert as they looked at these uninvited guests, so no one noticed her abnormality.
The little monkey looked at Sangsang in confusion. It felt the emotions emanating from Sangsang very directly. It shook its body and came steadily to Sangsang. It raised its overly round head and stretched out its hairy, chapped little paws to grab Sangsang.
Sangsang pulled his hand away suddenly as if he had encountered some ferocious beast, and looked at the little monkey in horror. The little monkey scratched his head in confusion, took another step forward, and stretched out his claws to grab Sangsang's hand again.
Sangsang had reacted by now and didn't dare to resist anymore. She stood stiffly and let the monkey hold her hand.
The little monkey gently played with Sangsang's little hands with its paws, as if it didn't understand why there was no hair on her hands. It looked up at Sangsang, then lowered its head to observe Sangsang's hands carefully.
Sangsang could only see the top of its head, its fur was all messy. That was... because she had messed it up...
The little monkey had played enough with his hands, so he let go of Sangsang and started to pull her clothes. After looking at her and not understanding what she was doing, he raised his paw and lifted them up.
Sangsang snatched the corner of the clothes with a sad face and put it down. Her brother had told her not to lift clothes in public.
The little monkey seemed to have found something interesting, and with its nimble claws it reached out to lift up Sangsang's clothes. Sangsang grabbed them back and covered them up, and the little monkey reached out again, repeating the process over and over again. To outsiders, it looked like the two little ones were having a lot of fun.
Ningxia was watching nervously, and his intact right hand was quietly touching the hard object at his waist.
The two sides were on the verge of a fight when an old monkey emerged from the group. Ningxia looked and saw it was the monkey that had just asked her for porridge. Her eyes were sharp. Was this monkey trying to repay kindness with enmity? Was he not satisfied with his meal and bringing a monkey to rob him?
Before she could do anything, two monkeys emerged from behind the old monkey, carrying another monkey, its long tail dragging on the ground. Ningxia looked closely and saw it was also a small monkey, but larger than the one with Sangsang.
Its left arm was injured by something unknown, just like Ningxia's, extending from the upper arm to the lower arm, with the bone visible.
Before Ningxia could say anything, two monkeys carried it in front of her without any intention of bending down, and "bang!" the monkey was thrown to the ground.
Ningxia was shocked. Is it really okay for them to treat the wounded like this? But the wounded man in front of him didn't care at all. He stood up neatly, folded his hands over his chest, and looked around. He didn't look seriously injured at all.
