"So you're not suited to doing bad things?" Tian Haoze asked Qingtian speechlessly. If he went by himself, there wouldn't be so much trouble! Now he's got a burden on him.
"Let's go, let's go. If we dawdle any longer, it'll be dawn." Tian Haoze put on Nangong Ziyan's clothes, and the two flew into Ximen Chunxue's room.
There were still two oil lamps burning in the room, which allowed for a clear view of everything inside.
Ximen Chunxue was a good sleeper, properly covered with the quilt and sleeping soundly.
"Brother, give her some hallucinogenic drugs to make what she sees more real."
"Okay! Hurry up." Tian Haoze looked around the room.
Suddenly, a few sheets of paper on the table caught his attention. He quickly went over to take a look and saw that the handwriting was neat and beautiful; it was a woman's handwriting.
"The Crystal Palace of the South China Sea, searching for the Shennong Scripture, the Shennong Scripture..."
"Hey! Yan'er, come here for a second," Tian Haoze called out softly.
Nangong Ziyan had already prepared the hallucinogenic drug and was running over.
"Brother, what's wrong?"
“Yan’er, look, there’s a letter here that mentions the Shennong Scripture in the South China Sea Glazed Palace. Isn’t the South China Sea Glazed Palace your home?” Tian Haoze pondered, feeling somewhat puzzled. Ximen Ruiyun was looking for the Demon Refining Pot, while his sister was looking for the Shennong Scripture.
"The Shennong Scripture?" Nangong Ziyan looked down, her eyes narrowing. Someone already knew of its existence. Everything in the Shennong Realm was recorded within it, and she and Haotian had discovered its location by chance. Nangong Ziyan glanced at the soundly sleeping Ximen Chunxue. How did she know about the Shennong Scripture? It was the most precious treasure of the Nangong Continent, hidden by her father in the Blood River of the Spirit Mountain in the Nangong Waters, guarded by the Five-Star Demon Python and the Big Dipper Demon Flood Dragon, loyal to the Shennong Realm. Ordinary people wouldn't easily know about it. She had only mentioned it to Haotian, and Haotian would never betray the South Sea Glazed Palace. So who could it be? Nangong Ziyan racked her brains, perhaps she would soon find out.
"Mmm!" At this moment, Ximen Chunxue murmured softly from the bed.
"Thump...!" Tian Haoze made a little noise to wake Ximen Chunxue up without letting the people around her know.
Ximen Chunxue opened her eyes groggily, and in the candlelight, two long, terrifying figures were reflected.
Ximen Chunxue was startled and sat up abruptly from the bed.
"Ah! A ghost!" The pig-like scream made Nangong Ziyan and Tian Haoze feel as if their eardrums were ruptured. Nangong Ziyan knew that everyone around had heard Ximen Chunxue's scream, so she quickened her pace and said in a gloomy voice.
"Ximen Chunxue, give me back my life! We died so tragically, so tragically! We served you for so many years, and in the end, all we got was to return to the underworld. Give us back our lives!"
Nangong Ziyan spoke first. She knew that the two pet servants from that night must have been killed by Ximen Ruiyun. The Western Sea Continent could not afford to lose face like that.
"You, you are...?" Ximen Chunxue shook her head in fear, curling up tightly against the bed, tears welling up in her frightened eyes.
Tian Haoze knew immediately that something was up; Yan'er had hit the nail on the head regarding Ximen Chunxue's thoughts.
"Ximen Chunxue, give me back my life! It's so cold down there, we're so lonely. Ximen Chunxue, come down and keep us company! Come down and keep us company!" Tian Haoze's gloomy voice was accompanied by exaggerated movements as he used his spiritual energy to fan out a cold wind, making people feel a chilling wind. This made Ximen Chunxue even more frightened, her face turning pale.
"Don't come any closer, don't come any closer..."
"Xue'er, are you alright!" Ximen Ruiyun's urgent voice came from outside, along with the sounds of people getting up one after another. Tian Haoze pulled Nangong Ziyan away from Ximen Chunxue's room and closed the window behind him.
"Bang!" Ximen Ruiyun kicked the door open. "Xue'er, are you alright!" Looking at her younger sister lying on the bed, tears streaming down her face and trembling, Ximen Ruiyun felt a pang of heartache.
"Big brother, ghosts, Xue'er saw ghosts! Big brother, why did you kill them? They came back to take revenge on Xue'er. They even said they wanted Xue'er to go down and keep them company..." Ximen Chunxue held Ximen Ruiyun's arms tightly, her eyes filled with undisguised reproach, and large tears dripped onto the bedding.
A flicker of confusion crossed Ximen Ruiyun's face. What could have frightened Xue'er so much?
"Xue'er, look at your brother. There are no ghosts in this world. You must be having a nightmare," Ximen Ruiyun comforted her softly.
"No, I didn't! I really saw them! They came to take my life!" Ximen Chunxue roared, her anger stemming mostly from resentment towards Ximen Ruiyun.
"Haha! The plan has finally succeeded. Ximen Chunxue won't be able to show off now. She'll definitely be crazy for days!" Back in Tian Haoze's room, Nangong Ziyan breathed a sigh of relief, but the shout from earlier still made her ears ring.
"Now you should feel better, right?"
"Having fun?" A slow, enigmatic voice rang out.
"It's fun."
"It's fun."
Nangong Ziyan and Tian Haoze answered at the same time.
"Ah!" The two reacted instantly, as if a thunderbolt had struck them. They were so excited that they didn't notice the commotion in the room.
"Hao, Haotian, what are you doing here?" Tian Haoze asked with a forced smile. He wondered if Haotian would kill him for dragging Yan'er around like a ghost to scare people so late at night.
"That was fun! Shall we go again?" With a wave of his hand, Bei Ming Haotian instantly lit up the candlelight in the room, illuminating his handsome face, which was filled with anger.
