Chapter 29 Uncle Ming

The two of them soon arrived at Jixiangju, where paper-made gold ingots were placed outside the door, making them easy to spot.

When the people in the store saw Song Yi coming, they immediately stepped forward and greeted him enthusiastically.

"Mr. Song, my master has already prepared the complete set you ordered some time ago in the backyard. Two golden carriages and a mansion will be ready."

The clerk only noticed what Song Yi was holding after he finished speaking.

Mr. Song is such a wealthy man, does he also eat at roadside stalls?

Song Yi smiled and introduced Fang Zongtang to the clerk: "My wife just came back, and she has to pick out some things herself."

The clerk looked at Fang Zongtang with his eyes almost falling to the ground.

"Congratulations, Mr. Song. Congratulations, Mr. Song. My master will be very happy for you if he knows you. Do you want to choose here or go to the backyard?"

Song Yi's smile deepened: "Backyard."

The clerk said, "Okay, I'll show Mr. and Mrs. Song the way."

There was something else behind the small storefront. When she entered, she was shocked by the piles of paper figurines.

There are exquisitely crafted gold and silver mountains, gold bars and silver coins, as well as money trees, cornucopias, and carriage sets. Further in, there are mansions and paper vases.

There is simply nothing that a paper-making master cannot do, as long as people cannot think of it.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw a dagger thrown on an iron block. She walked over and was about to pick it up to have a look when she was stopped.

"Don't move, use a sharp knife, hurry up. If you cut your hand, it will bleed!" An old man in his sixties emerged from the pile of paper.

After seeing clearly who it was, Fang Zongtao couldn't help but scream.

"Uncle Ming."

The man who was called Uncle Ming froze and quickly put on the glasses hanging around his neck.

"Brother Zongtang?"

Fang Zongtang immediately smiled and kicked aside the carriages and horses that were blocking the road.

"Uncle Ming, aren't you a calligraphy and painting seller? Why are you doing this?"

Uncle Ming angrily put aside the carriage and horses that she had kicked over.

"Be careful, these are for your great grandfather."

After hearing this, Fang Zongtang's attitude changed 180 degrees and he quickly ran over to check.

"It wasn't broken, was it?"

All other emotions in Uncle Ming's eyes were kicked away by Fang Zongtang. He said angrily and amusedly: "It's broken, so what? Are you afraid that your great grandfather will run away in a carriage~"

She burst out laughing immediately.

After the joke, Uncle Ming immediately got down to business: "Where have you been in these ten years? Shi Liuzi, I've been looking for you like crazy!"

Song Yi hurriedly explained: "Uncle Ming, it's not that exaggerated."

Fang Zongtang immediately turned around to settle accounts with Song Yi: "You are still pretending to be so calm, and you didn't tell me earlier that it was Uncle Ming's store. I brought a bunch of roadside stalls, but I didn't bring any gifts."

Song Yi smiled and didn't respond.

Uncle Ming handed Fang Zongtang the bamboo knife on the iron block and said, "Don't talk about Shi Liuzi as soon as you come back. He is different now. Give him some face."

She explained to Uncle Ming the ten years that had passed, and then said disapprovingly, "What's the difference between him and Uncle Ming? He still has two eyes and one nose. Or did he take advantage of my absence to find a concubine?"

Uncle Ming spoke first without waiting for Song Yi to explain.

"With someone as powerful as you around, would he dare?"

Fang Zongtang looked down at the bamboo sword, shrugged and said, "I was away for ten years, who knows?"

Uncle Ming snorted in annoyance and snatched the bamboo sword from her hand.

"Don't try to take my things. I can't give you this dagger. Come with me into the house. I'll give you something!"

Fang Zongtang was puzzled and joked: "You are reluctant to give me a rusty deer-cutting knife, what good things can you give me~"
