Chapter 10 Confirmation (1/2)

Looking around, the tomb chamber had solid stone shelves against the walls on all four sides, with the funerary objects on the shelves placed neatly. The ground was paved with thick jade, and there were no cracks even though Jiang Shaomu and others had pressed down on it just now. This was a qualified treasure room that had never been cleaned by anyone.

But if those people just now hadn’t appeared here, where had they been sent by the agency?

Jiang Shaomu casually thought about his hired servant's situation, then turned his attention back to these funerary objects that were shining with fascinating light. He was not in a hurry to take them away, but walked with interest to Hei Xiazi who had already started to pick and choose, and saw that he was giving up the treasure with great pain because he couldn't take any of them. He felt relieved that he could take them all away.

Some people have even lost their own children out of heartache.

Jiang Shaomu looked at the woman one meter behind Hei Xia Zi. The woman, who was not easily seen by others, had a face full of guilt and heartache. She was wearing a gorgeous Manchu dress and maintained the same appearance as before her death. She was covered in blood, and the fatal wound should be in her heart.

According to Jiang Shaomu's long-term observation, much of the blood on the woman's body was not her own. She was a brave woman who had fought hard and killed many enemies in her life. However, even the most cheerful and generous woman would be tender and affectionate when facing her own children, not to mention that she had watched her son suffer for nearly a decade.

After so many years of baptism, the woman's soul has become almost transparent.

Moreover, Jiang Shaomu had a guess in his mind. It was said that Hei Xiazi had no bloodline, and he had seen the Ultimate and gained immortality, but he only paid the price of worsening eye disease. This price was a bit too small. If his mother had always been by his side and taken on some of the responsibility for him, it would be much more reasonable.

If this transparent and damaged soul had not been supported by her obsession with wanting her son to be happy, the woman would have probably dissipated long ago.

But she was still a strong person who could ride a horse and kill enemies, and she was extremely sensitive to other people's sight. Before, Jiang Shaomu was just observing secretly, and with a ribbon covering her eyes, women generally would not notice other strangers, so there was no pain.

As Jiang Shaomu deliberately stared at her for a long time, the woman suddenly turned her head to face Jiang Shaomu. Her expression was full of surprise and doubt. Could this young man see her?

The woman floated in front of him and shook her body. Jiang Shaomu nodded in response without hesitation.

"What are you looking at?" This was the third time. This was the third time that Hei Xiazi approached Jiang Shaomu when he wasn't paying attention. If he had been hostile, Jiang Shaomu would probably have been dead.

"No, nothing." Jiang Shaomu hesitated for a moment and decided not to say it out loud. What he said himself would not be as true and reliable as what the other party discovered himself.

Hei Xia Zi wanted to ask again, but the system grasped the moment when Su Yu was about to speak, climbed out of Su Yu's arms, and sat on the special vehicle for his neck.

The monkey was mumbling something that Hei Xia Zi couldn't understand, and one of its little hands was pointing in the direction of its favorite treasure. Jiang Shaomu took the opportunity to leave the place and collect the burial objects that Hei Xia Zi had tearfully given up.

The black blind man standing there had a rare expressionless face. He really knew how to pick the most critical moment. Jiang Shaomu's little pet...

He licked his back teeth and raised the same smile as before. He did not continue to approach Jiang Shaomu, but walked along the stone shelf to try to replace the more valuable treasure.

Jiang Shaomu successfully escaped from danger and breathed a sigh of relief. He started to collect the things on the stone shelves one by one from the first wall, while slightly tilting his head to listen to the words of the woman who had been trying to get him to help pass on messages to Hei Xia Zi ever since he found out that he could be seen.

How come she started crying while talking to him? Jiang Shaomu was shocked when he realized that the woman's eyes were red. His hands that were collecting the things paused for a moment. The system that was handing him the treasure also looked extremely empathetic.
