Chapter 48 No One Will Be Afraid Anymore (1/2)

After agreeing with the monkey to come the next day, they entered the camp confused.

Jiang Shaomu and Wang Pangzi took the system to the tent assigned to them. As soon as they entered, Jiang Shaomu asked: "What happened?"

The system still had that somewhat serious expression. This was the first time that Jiang Shaomu saw such seriousness on such an optimistic face of the system for such a long time.

The system said: "Su, this may not be the tomb we imagined. This group of monkeys have been here for more than 100 years. The ghosts in the tomb seem to be man-made, and the first question they asked me was whether we are Chinese."

Jiang Shaomu told this to Fatty Wang, and they both fell silent.

If they remember correctly, Taiwan was ceded to Japan in 1895, exactly one hundred years ago.

But at the moment, nothing was clear. Why would one create ghosts in a tomb? Jiang Shaomu knew best how much energy a Taoist priest had to put in to create ghosts, and how much pain he had to endure.

Fatty Wang couldn't figure it out either. They both vaguely felt that they had touched upon something big.

"Don't worry about it. Once you get in, you'll know what's going on!" Fatty Wang patted Jiang Shaomu and said. Jiang Shaomu wiped his face and nodded.

The next day, at the appointed time, when the team arrived at the forest, the Monkey King was already waiting there.

Jiang Shaomu followed the Monkey King with the system in front. The forest was not big, and the group walked quickly. It didn't take long before they reached the center, which was a large grassland.

The Monkey King stopped moving, probably wanting them to find their own position.

Old Tang took out the rough map recorded by the man and looked at it again. He must have studied it many times. He pointed to a place and asked his men to press the explosives in a simple and crude way. Even Fatty Wang was stunned when he saw it.

Old Tang didn't explain. The amount of explosives was just right. A hole was blown in the grass, revealing the deep steps below. When the dust in the air settled, the Monkey King took the lead to walk in, and Jiang Shaomu was still the leader.

After going down to the underground, they walked two steps inside and found a stone door. The mechanism of this door was not even that complicated. Anyone who knew a little about mechanisms could see that it was a lock that could be opened by turning the corresponding tonnage code. The only difficulty was finding out the tonnage code.

Jiang Shaomu punched a card, and unexpectedly but not surprisingly, he gained a new ability called "Intermediate Level Ghost Controlling Technique". He exclaimed inwardly, and now he was not afraid of seeing ghosts in the wild anymore.

In less than an hour, someone had already detected that the tonnage code was a four-digit number. Fatty Wang rubbed his hands as he thought of something, glanced at Jiang Shaomu, and said:

"Can I, Fatty, give it a try?"

Old Tang and even the people in the team didn't doubt whether he could do it, so they made way for him. Fatty Wang stepped forward and carefully pressed four numbers. The mechanism was still very new after more than a hundred years. As soon as the numbers were pressed, there was a sound of the chain turning, and the door opened.

A group of people gave Fatty Wang a thumbs up, and Old Tang even praised him, saying that it was worth inviting Fatty.

Jiang Shaomu saw that Fatty Wang opened it in one go and guessed the size. Now the situation inside was even more confusing.

Jiang Shaomu and the Monkey King led the way. They watched the people behind them sort out their equipment and take their own safety items before entering the door.
