Chapter 137 Ningning’s Promise!

The two elders felt sorry for their son. When they heard something was wrong, they both suppressed their curiosity and said helplessly, "In that case, let's talk about it tomorrow. But you must finish it tomorrow. What's the matter with always interrupting it? It's like those TV series, a little bit a day, it's so annoying!"

While complaining, the mother stood up and went back to her room with her father, while Mo Huang went directly to Ningning's room.

"Why are you here? Isn't your room over there?" Father Mo asked in confusion when he saw Mo Huang walking towards the guest room.

Mo Huang quickly said, "This is Ningning's room. A few days ago, she was frightened by a prank played by some kids in kindergarten, and she had to be coaxed into sleep the whole time!"

Ningning had always been very attached to Mo Huang at home, so her father did not doubt her explanation. He nodded and walked into his room.

Mo Huang quickly pushed open the door of Ningning's room and walked straight in. Ningning should have fallen asleep at this time, and the lights inside were not on. However, just as Mo Huang walked out of the corridor and walked inside, the lights in the room suddenly turned on. Then, Ningning nestled in the quilt and looked at her brother Mo Huang with a smile.

Mo Huang was startled. Seeing Ning Ning still awake, he walked over and said, "You're still awake. I have something to tell you. You don't have to wait until tomorrow morning!"

Indeed, if Ningning had not fallen asleep yet, Mo Huang could have told her directly now without waiting until tomorrow morning.

So, Mo Huang sat on the bed, but just as he was about to speak, Ning Ning interrupted him, "Brother, don't say it. I won't be able to remember it even if you tell me. I want you to tell me a story!"

As she said that, Ningning stood up from the bed and looked at Mo Huang with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Brother has something to do tomorrow and needs a good sleep. Can you please spare me?" Mo Huang was helpless and begged for mercy.

"Okay, then I won't tell you any more stories. Just hold Ningning and let her sleep. Is that okay?" Ningning immediately changed her tone after hearing Mo Huang's excuse.

Mo Huang was powerless to refute, so he took off his coat and lay down next to Ning Ning. Then he said helplessly: "Then I will tell you tomorrow, don't let it get exposed, otherwise your parents will be sad!"

"Yeah!" Ningning was very happy and immediately got into bed and slept next to him, nodding as she spoke.

Even the words "my parents are back" were automatically ignored.

"Brother, are you worried that the kidnapping incident from the day before yesterday will happen again?" Ning Ning suddenly asked in the darkness.

"Yes, I was really scared last time. You are my only sister. If anything goes wrong with me, how will you live as your brother?" Mo Huang closed his eyes and answered.

"Haha!" Ning Ning laughed happily upon hearing Mo Huang's answer, then said seriously, "Don't worry, brother, this kind of thing won't happen again. Ning Ning will definitely protect herself and will never let anyone hurt us!"

"Haha, you little brat, how can you promise? Go to sleep quickly. I'll take you to school tomorrow!" Mo Huang sneered when he heard Ning Ning's firm words.

It is really hard to accept that we can expect a child who is less than five years old to protect us!

Hearing her brother's question, Ning Ning immediately jumped up, then crawled to Mo Huang's forehead, and then kissed him on the cheek. Then she said with a smile: "Brother, if you don't believe me, Ning Ning kissed you and left a mark on your face. No one will dare to bully you. If not, just wait and see. Ning Ning will definitely protect you!"

Then, Ningning retreated back into the bed, still hugging Mo Huang tightly. Mo Huang stopped talking, but trying to make him believe that if his sister kissed him, he would never be hurt again was really a challenge to human intelligence.

"Good night, brother. Ningning is going to sleep!" Ningning said this last sentence, then closed her eyes and began to sleep. However, Mo Huang still had a solemn expression on his face, and his eyes were as big as a copper bell.
