Chapter 159: Really White Legs
The floor lamps were like fireflies, emitting a faint green light, illuminating only the surrounding ground.
In the darkness, the two breaths collided, Wei Chuan's nose tip almost touched Meng Tang's nose tip, and as if on purpose, he bumped forward.
Meng Tang turned her head away, Wei Chuan rolled his Adam's apple and kissed her.
His palm moved along her back to the back of her neck, firmly clamping down on her as she subconsciously dodged backwards.
While kissing, Wei Chuan's hands were not honest either. He deliberately slid his fingertips gently on the side of Meng Tang's neck below her ear, causing Meng Tang to tremble slightly.
The subtle discovery made Wei Chuan chuckle, and he exerted a little force with his thumb, forcing Meng Tang to open his mouth.
The ambiguity heats up and goes straight in.
Meng Tang's heart was beating like a drum, and he just hoped that Wei Chuan would let him go as soon as possible.
Obviously, Wei Chuan didn't want to let go at all.
Each of his rapid breaths was a profound reminder to both of them how much he loved kissing.
A kiss filled with restraint and tenderness.
After an unknown amount of time, Wei Chuan stepped back slightly and said, "This height is perfect for kissing."
When standing, he has to tilt his head and Meng Tang has to stand on tiptoe.
Meng Tang tightened his grip around his neck: "Shall we go? I've got a lot of mosquito bites."
When Wei Chuan heard this, he immediately took out his phone and turned on the light: "Where was you bitten?"
"My calves and ankles." Meng Tang reached out and scratched them. "But it's okay. Sister Fang makes some ointment every summer. I have it in my room."
Wei Chuan turned off the light on his phone, put his arm around Meng Tang, and said, "Let's go home first."
The two put their forearms close together, fingers interlocked.
Wei Chuan no longer had the mind to appreciate the night view of the lake. The several red envelopes on Meng Tang's calves became a major concern for him.
It was also his fault that he was too thick-skinned and couldn't share some of the firepower with her.
When they got home, the courtyard was pitch black. Meng Tang glanced at the time and said to Wei Chuan, "They are all old and have gone to bed. Please be gentle and lock the door. I will go take a shower first, and you can go to bed too."
Wei Chuan replied "OK" and closed the door quietly.
He did not return to the room, but moved Meng Yuchun's recliner under the crabapple tree, swaying it as he looked at the bright night sky.
Meng Tang took a shower for more than half an hour, and her hair was a little wet, so she simply let it all down.
The bathroom and bedroom are not connected. Because Meng Tang is a girl, Meng Yuchun installed a separate bathroom for her since she was a child.
From childhood to adulthood, no one has ever used her bathroom. Even when she is not at home, Sister Fang cleans and burns incense every day to keep it clean.
Wei Chuan was actually the first person to use her bathroom.
Meng Tang opened the window to let out the steam and walked out of the bathroom.
Just as she was about to go around the crabapple tree and return to the house, she was startled by the person under the tree: "Why haven't you gone to bed yet?"
Wei Chuan chuckled: "Waiting for you."
"What are you waiting for me for?" Meng Tang brushed away the slightly damp ends of his hair.
Wei Chuan stood up and said, "Come into the room first. There are mosquitoes outside. Let me see the bump on your leg."
"I told you it's okay." Meng Tang pushed open the door and went to the bedroom after passing the study.
Meng Tang's bedroom is at the innermost part, and one has to cross a bead curtain to enter.
Wei Chuan reached out and pushed the cloth aside, taking in the full view of her bedroom. He was stunned for a moment.
Meng Tang sat down on the bed, looked up and asked him, "What's wrong with you?"
"Oh my god." Wei Chuan sighed, "Whose boudoir have I accidentally entered? Is this a bunk bed?"
As he spoke, he touched it.
Meng Tang chuckled: "Grandpa made this many years ago."
Wei Chuan touched the bedpost and asked, "Are the four bedposts carved with the four seasons?"
Meng Tang replied: "To be precise, they are the objects of the four seasons: spring orchid, summer lotus, autumn chrysanthemum and winter plum, which symbolize the perfection of the four seasons."
It would take too long to see all the details.
The wardrobe and treasure cabinet beside the bed are even more amazing for their extraordinary craftsmanship.
"Did the old man make all these?" Wei Chuan asked.
Meng Tang nodded: "Yes."
Wei Chuan sat down next to her and said, "Your room is so interesting, I don't want to leave."
Meng Tang: “…”
"Just kidding." Seeing that she didn't say anything, Wei Chuan loosened the hook and let the mosquito net hang in the middle. "Did you put ointment on your legs? Does it itch?"
Meng Tang took out the anti-itch and swelling ointment made by Sister Fang from the drawer of the bed and said, "I'll apply it myself. You go to bed quickly."
Wei Chuan stretched out his wrist and let her look at his watch: "It's not even ten o'clock yet."
Meng Tang opened the lid of the ointment, and Wei Chuan snatched it away, swirling out a little green paste, and held Meng Tang's calf in his palm: "I'll apply it to you."
Meng Tang: "...I can't?"
"I'm happy to do that." Wei Chuan laughed, "Your legs are so white."
Meng Tang kicked him in the chest: "Are you applying medicine or being a hooligan?"
"Apply the medicine, apply the medicine." Wei Chuan quickly helped her apply the ointment on the red spot, then leaned over and blew on it with his mouth.
Meng Tang retracted his foot abruptly: "No need to blow."
Wei Chuan laughed, untied the mosquito net on the other side, and pressed Meng Tang under him.
"Wei Chuan!" Meng Tang was furious. "Get up right now!"
Wei Chuan was just teasing people and they were in someone else's house. How could he possibly sleep in the same room with Meng Tang?
Seeing his girlfriend's pale face, he smiled lightly, then held her shoulders and rubbed them: "I'm just teasing you."
Meng Tang snorted, turned around and covered himself with a thin blanket.
"I'm leaving." Wei Chuan turned her over and kissed her, "Good night."
Meng Tang finally smiled: "Good night."
Meng Tang only breathed a sigh of relief after Wei Chuan left. He was too clingy.
Meng Tang actually likes staying in Yanqing's old house. He likes it most when he is half awake in the early morning and hears the voices of Sister Fang and the old man outside through the window.
"What did you do this morning?" the old man asked.
Sister Fang: "I made some dumplings, they're almost done. I'll go get two more side dishes. You can go around."
"When did the two little ones come back last night?"
"Nine o'clock." Wei Chuan came out of the room with a sleepy voice and answered Meng Yuchun.
Meng Tang moved his eyelids and finally opened his eyes.
She lifted the mosquito net, stood up, changed her clothes and opened the door.
When I came out, the old man had already left.
Meng Tang waved to Wei Chuan: "Come with me to wash up."
"Okay."
Instead of going to the bathroom, the two of them squatted in the gutter next to the vegetable garden and brushed their teeth, then casually wiped their faces with cold water.
Sister Fang went to the bathroom and got a face towel for them: "You are so lazy."
Wei Chuan laughed: "Sister Fang, what delicious food did you make this morning?"
"Xiaolongbao." Sister Fang said with a smile, "You guys can eat them later. I have to go wash the water tank today."
Wei Chuan quickly stopped her: "You can't wash the water tank without eating breakfast. I'll help you after breakfast."
"Okay." Sister Fang agreed immediately.
Twenty minutes later, the old man came back from his walk outside, holding a piece of tofu in his hand, which was obviously for lunch.
Wei Chuan went to pick it up and took it to the kitchen.
Meng Huaizhang had to go to work, so he hurriedly grabbed a few buns and left.
There were only four of them left at the table. Wei Chuan and Sister Fang were chatting animatedly, while the old man and Meng Tang were just eating.
When they were almost done eating, the old man asked Meng Tang, "Have you chosen the ingredients?"
Meng Tang nodded: "The draft is ready, let's start the clay sculpture today."
Practice makes perfect, and since the piece wasn't big, the rice paper drawing was ready in half a day.
The old man said "hmm": "The sludge is gone."
Meng Tang raised his eyes and said, "I can do it myself."
"OK."
After dinner, Meng Tang went to the backyard, where there was a special clay sculpture table.
The base material of oil clay is a mixture of 60% white porcelain clay and 20% sawdust ash, and beeswax, tung oil and rosin are used for plasticization.
In order to prevent cracking, a certain proportion of egg white must be added.
After refining the mud, it must be wrapped in wet linen and left to rest for two days to allow it to be fully mixed and penetrated.
After being busy until noon, Meng Tang felt a little hungry, so he simply went out to the backyard.
As soon as I stepped into the middle courtyard, I heard a loud bang and the ground was shattered with a crashing sound.
Meng Tang was startled and quickly strode over: "What's wrong?"
On the south side of the kitchen, Wei Chuan stared blankly at the broken jar and fell into deep thought. In ancient times, Sima Guang smashed a jar to save someone. He hadn't even smashed it yet, so how did the jar break?
Where does it start? Why does it break while brushing?
Meng Yuchun wasn't frightened, he just raised his eyes and asked: "Did you damage my antiques?"
Sister Fang sighed helplessly: "Little Ancestor, where do you get all this strength from?"
Meng Tang saw the debris on the ground and suddenly laughed: "What are you trying to show off? Are you really cleaning the tank here?"
"Aren't you busy? I just wanted to help Sister Fang." Wei Chuan smiled awkwardly, "How about I compensate you?"
Meng Yuchun pointed to the main entrance and said, "Go ahead. They're selling some at the Old Street Pottery Shop. Sister Fang hasn't made lunch yet, so you two can have a bite outside."
Wei Chuan pointed to the ground and said, "Let me clean these up first."
"You don't have to clean up." Sister Fang quickly stopped him, "Take Xiaotang out quickly, I'll clean up here."
Wei Chuan was embarrassed: "Let me clean it up."
"Really?" Sister Fang pushed them out. "Hurry up and buy a water tank. We need it at home."
Meng Tang grabbed Wei Chuan's arm and said, "Let's go."
Wei Chuan and Meng Tang walked out the door and asked, "Where is the old street?"
"It's still far away." Meng Tang said, "It's in the north, take the bus."
"Don't you want to take a taxi?" Wei Chuan asked.
Meng Tang said, "You can take a taxi, but the bus is just behind the house."
Wei Chuan took Meng Tang's hand and said, "Then go ahead. Whoever comes first will get a seat. Do you have coins?"
Meng Tang patted his bag: "I have a bus card."
The two were lucky. As soon as they reached the bus stop, the bus stopped in front of them.
Meng Tang pulled Wei Chuan into the car, swiped his card, and sat in the back seat.
It was noon and there were not many people on the bus.
Meng Tang glanced out the window, then turned back and said to Wei Chuan, "I used to take this road to go to school. It only took six stops."
Wei Chuan took her hand and asked, "High school?"
"Yes." Meng Tang said, "You'll see it when you pass by."
After just six stops, a high school slowly appeared before our eyes.
Meng Tang patted Wei Chuan: "Look, it's here."
Wei Chuan didn't turn his head. He kept looking at the other side of the window. Even after the bus moved forward, he still turned his head to look.
Aren't those Meng Huaizhang and Li Hanjin? Why are they always together?
Wei Chuan's intuition told him that nothing good was going to happen.
