Chapter 95 I have to go out today
After being stunned for more than ten seconds, Wei Chuan finally found his voice: "Why?"
Meng Tang replied: "No reason. Do you want to deceive each other and everyone like this forever?"
Wei Chuan said, "I didn't intend to stay like this forever. Are you angry because I went to Yanqing without telling you and saw your secret?"
Meng Tang was silent for a moment, then said, "Please keep this a secret for me."
Wei Chuan felt a pang in his heart. He definitely wouldn't say it, but Meng Tang's words clearly showed that he didn't trust him.
Her father had been in jail, and that was a sensitive matter for her.
How could he possibly tell anyone else?
He wanted to protect her, so naturally he wanted to protect all of her.
"I can't speak." Wei Chuan's voice was dull and a little aggrieved.
"Thanks."
Meng Tang hung up the phone directly.
Wei Chuan was stunned and called back immediately, but Meng Tang didn't answer.
When a person is protecting herself, she will push away anyone or anything she thinks is risky.
Meng Tang is in this state now.
She was afraid that others would know that her father had been in jail. Wei Chuan analyzed it in his mind.
"Hold."
Wei Chuan panicked for a moment and rushed into the cloakroom to change out of his pajamas.
I brushed my teeth, wiped my face, put the power bank in my bag, and went downstairs with my car keys.
I have no patience for walking up the stairs because each step takes three or four steps.
Wei Lifeng came back from outside and was startled by his son rushing up to him. He raised his hand, grabbed him, pulled him back, and scolded him softly:
"If you still want to play basketball, then walk properly and don't be afraid of falling."
Wei Chuan responded perfunctorily: "Dad, you're back."
"Wait." Wei Lifeng stopped the man again, "Where are you going with the car keys?"
"I have to go out for something." Wei Chuan struggled, "Dad, please let me go."
"Your second sister hasn't been home for three years. She's coming back this afternoon. You must stay at home and don't go anywhere." Wei Lifeng's face darkened.
Wei Chuan frowned, "Dad, I really have something urgent to do."
Wei Lifeng said domineeringly: "What is it? I'll find someone to help you."
"You can't do it." Wei Chuan retorted.
"There's nothing I can't do for you. Your second sister is coming home today, so you have to come with us to pick her up."
When Wei Lifeng was young, he had a bad temper, but he became much gentler as he got older.
But that doesn't mean he has lost his temper. He won't tolerate Wei Chuan's slightest contradiction.
Wei Chuan was also furious and argued with his father: "I have to leave today."
"Stop that guy for me." Wei Lifeng shouted towards the door, and two security guards came up to block him.
Wei Chuan snorted softly and said to the two security guards with a dandy look, "What? You dare to fight me?"
The two security guards looked at each other, wondering who they should listen to.
Wei Lifeng raised his hand: "As long as he can't be killed, that's fine."
"Wei Lifeng." Chu Yin hurried downstairs. "What are you doing?"
Wei Lifeng pointed at Wei Chuan and said, "Let him tell you himself."
Chu Yin pulled Wei Chuan over: "What's wrong?"
Wei Chuan said, "I have something to do. I'll be back tomorrow."
"But your second sister is coming back this afternoon. She hasn't been back from the army for three years. We're finally reunited, and you..."
"My second sister is at home for the New Year. I will come back tomorrow to make amends to her." Wei Chuan pleaded with Chu Yin with his eyes, "Mom, I have to leave now. I really have something important to do."
Chu Yin sighed: "Then tell me, where are you going? What are you going to do?"
Wei Chuan shook his head: "I can't say for the time being."
Feelings are his personal issue, and he doesn't want to tell anyone until it's resolved.
"Can't I not go?" Chu Yin avoided Wei Lifeng's pressing gaze and pulled Wei Chuan.
Wei Chuan said stubbornly: "I must go."
Wei Lifeng raised his hand towards the security guard and said, "No matter how nice he is, he still behaves like this. Stop him and take his car keys and phone."
When Wei Chuan heard this, he ran away.
Two security guards came up to stop them. Wei Chuan's face darkened and he yelled, "Get out of here."
Wei Lifeng was furious: "Hold him down! This is outrageous! Call two more people over."
Chu Yin stepped forward to stop her husband: "Can't you just talk it out nicely?"
"Look at him." Wei Lifeng pointed at Wei Chuan. "Going to pick up Silin was planned long ago. He was on vacation and slept at home for a long time instead of taking care of his own business. Now he's trying to get angry with me. Let's see who can win."
The security guard smiled apologetically at Wei Chuan: "Master, I'm sorry."
Wei Chuan’s daily physical training is real. He circled the fountain several times without being caught.
On the way to the garage, two security guards came around, four people against one, and they were skilled in martial arts, so they blocked all of Wei Chuan's escape routes.
The result was obvious. Wei Chuan was no match for the four and his cell phone and car keys were confiscated, and he was locked in a room.
"Hold."
Wei Chuan threw himself onto the bed and raised his hand to touch his cheekbone.
I accidentally touched it when I was resisting just now, and it's already swollen. Old Wei is really heartless.
—
The Chinese New Year is celebrated later this year, with Valentine's Day pushed to before the New Year.
After not receiving any information from Wei Chuan for two days, Meng Tang roughly understood what he meant.
She actually understood Wei Chuan's choice, as Meng Huaizhang was a stain that she could not wash away.
Feeling bored staying at home, she said to the old man, "Grandpa, I'm going out for a walk."
Meng Huaizhang handed her an umbrella: "Just walk around here, it's raining."
Meng Tang stared at him for a moment. What could she do? This man was her father.
Meng Tang lowered his eyelashes and took the umbrella.
Now that he was out of prison and had turned over a new leaf, there was no way she couldn't let him go home.
The old man glanced at Meng Tang and knew what was bothering her.
"That shouldn't be the case." He tutted his words, "Wei Chuan... am I wrong about this kid?"
It’s drizzling on Valentine’s Day, I don’t know if it can be considered romantic.
After walking out of the alley along the stone pavement, Meng Tang stopped a car on the side of the road.
The driver asked her where she was going, and she blurted out, "Shuiyue Temple."
The driver laughed and joked, "People go shopping on dates, but you and your boyfriend are going to a temple?"
Meng Tang smiled and said, "I don't have a boyfriend, so I'm going to pray for him."
The driver scratched his head awkwardly.
The neon lights in the streets and alleys flickered with ambiguous lights, and the muddy smell of rain mixed with the sweet fragrance of roses.
Couples were holding hands, getting wet in the rain, and smiling happily, but Meng Tang was the only one left alone.
After arriving at Shuiyue Temple, the drizzle stopped.
Meng Tang put away his umbrella and stopped for a moment at the place where he had to pass on his way up the mountain.
She looked at the wide and flat road, turned around and stepped onto the steep and irregular stone stairs.
I took the same route I took last time with Wei Chuan.
Meng Tang walked very slowly along the way and took a break when he arrived at the waterfall viewing pavilion.
In winter, the waterfall on the cliff turned into a trickle. She leaned on the railing and watched for a while, then continued to climb up.
The blessing tree on the top of the mountain is crimson, like the color of a rose.
It fits the situation.
Where did Wei Chuan tie the ribbon last time?
Meng Tang stood under the tree, looking up, as if trying to peek at the thought he once left behind to pay off his debt.
To pay off the debt he owed for catching her at her most embarrassing side.
When Wei Chuan ran up panting, he just saw her slowly circling the tree.
God was kind to him, she was really here.
After supporting himself on his knees and catching his breath for a while, Wei Chuan raised his foot and stepped onto the last step.
"Are you looking for my prayer ribbon?"
Meng Tang suddenly landed on tiptoe. She glanced sideways and saw Wei Chuan standing in front of her, as if by magic.
