Chapter 120: Latest News Received - The Yuan Kingdom Has Been Destroyed

Chen Xiang's words instantly silenced the noisy scene, and everyone looked at each other, unsure of what to say.

Just then, a government official riding a fast horse suddenly appeared in front of Chen Xiang. He was covered in blood and on the verge of death.

Chen Xiang immediately recognized the man as his spy planted in the capital. He quickly stepped forward and helped the man down from his horse.

"Anqing, what's wrong?"

"Boss, the imperial court is gone." Anqing handed the yellow envelope to Chen Xiang, his face pale and weak.

"Madam Zhu, please save him." Chen Xiang did not take the envelope, but turned to look at Madam Sun, his eyes red as he pleaded for help.

After a moment of stunned silence, Sun turned around, picked up her acupuncture kit, and jogged over to Anqing's side, frantically checking his condition.

Chen Xiang stood nervously beside him, staring blankly at An Qing on the ground with terrified eyes.

Anqing's words plunged everyone present into panic. Zhu Wen stepped forward and snatched the envelope from Chen Xiang, who was standing there in a daze.

He frantically opened the package, glanced through all the contents, and upon seeing them, he instantly collapsed to the ground, utterly powerless.

"It's gone. The Yuan Dynasty is gone."

These words made the entire Zhu family look at each other in fear, and Old Mrs. Zhu even came to Chen Xiang's side and anxiously asked him a question.

"Lord Chen, if the Yuan Kingdom is destroyed, what will happen to my son?"

"Yes! Will our eldest brother be alright?"

Zhu Chenfeng was also worried that his elder brother's life might be in danger because of this matter, so he quickly stepped forward and anxiously asked.

The two voices brought Chen Xiang back to his senses. It took him a long time to fully recover before he slowly spoke.

"I will write a letter to my brothers on the frontier now, asking them to protect General Zhu."

After saying that, he quickly went to the horse and took the carrier pigeons in the cage from the saddle.

"Pen and paper."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Chenfeng and Zhu Haotian hurriedly searched for a brush and Xuan paper on the cart. After finding them, they flattened the Xuan paper, ground the ink, and handed the brush to Chen Xiang.

After taking the brush, Chen Xiang looked serious and bent over to write a few lines on the rice paper.

After finishing, roll up the Xuan paper and stuff it into the bamboo tube under the pigeon's feet, and finally release the pigeon.

Grandma Zhu held Xixi in her arms, looking up at the carrier pigeons. Her heart was still filled with unease, her face was filled with worry, and she muttered to herself.

"We hope the carrier pigeons can reach the border in time, giving us more time."

Xixi, who was frantically moving bricks in the space, heard her grandmother's words and then lay down on the wall to look for a picture of her grandmother.

"What happened? Why did Grandma say to buy some time?"

She had just gone out to move the corrupt official's armory in, how did this happen?

But after searching for a long time, she couldn't find any pictures of her grandmother. Instead, she found pictures of Zhu Yanyan and Wen Xiuying.

With great interest, it zoomed in on the image, tilting its round head and staring at it curiously.

In the scene, Zhu Yanyan is feeding Wen Xiuying congee, frowning and sighing, "Mother, have some?"

"I won't eat. Take me to Zinan now, or I'll starve to death." Wen Xiuying lay in the carriage, turned her face to one side, and closed her eyes angrily.

Zhu Yanyan helplessly put the bowl aside and sighed, "Don't worry, we can't go back either. We'll take you to find Zinan."

After saying that, she got out of the carriage and gestured to the officers to put the things away properly, saying, "These supplies are very important, don't lose them."

Upon hearing Zhu Yanyan's words, the officials all nodded obediently and placed the wooden box on the carriage.

Xi Xi curiously magnified the box on the carriage, wondering what was inside.

Since Zhu Yanyan is also going to the desert with them, did she bring a lot of cold-weather supplies?

For example, hand warmers, hot water bottles, and electric blankets?

As darkness fell, Xixi decided to wait until it was completely dark before quietly opening the box to take a closer look at its contents.

Soon the entire forest was plunged into endless darkness, and Zhu Yanyan and Wen Xiuying were inside the carriage.

The other officials slept outside in the woods, and the wagons carrying supplies were left unattended.

Xixi quietly flew out from the spatial wall, carefully lifted the gray cloth covering the supplies, and randomly chose a wooden box.

She used all her strength to open the wooden box, and after several attempts, she finally managed to open it.

She was too small to see anything inside, so she had to squeeze her whole body inside to search.

Inside, she indeed found many hand warmers, hand warmers, home heating pads, and electric blankets.

Excitedly, Xixi poked her round head out of the box and looked around at her surroundings.

Then, it quietly flew out and stretched out its little hand to put everything in the box into the bracelet.

After finishing, she flew back to her space with a feeling of unease.

As dawn broke, snowflakes suddenly began to swirl down, silently landing on everyone.

After sensing the unusual temperature, Grandma Zhu rubbed her hands and woke up from her dream, staring blankly at the snowflakes falling from the sky.

She hurriedly woke her son and daughter-in-law and said anxiously.

"Wake up, it's snowing."

Her voice was so loud that it woke up the escorts. They stared in surprise at the falling snow and were immediately bewildered.

Liu quickly took out a cotton-lined swaddle blanket and wrapped the already awake Xixi in it. She then turned to Tao and Sun and said...

"Sister-in-law, quickly find some clothes to put on, it's so cold you'll easily catch a cold."

Old Mrs. Zhu snapped out of her daze at Liu's voice, quickly got up from the straw mat, and came to the carriage while breathing out warm air.

Everyone hurriedly grabbed the winter clothes that had been prepared beforehand from the carriage.

Chen Xiang and the others were completely unprepared and could only stare blankly as Grandma Zhu and the others put on their clothes.

After quickly getting dressed, Old Lady Zhu pulled several packages out of the carriage and threw them to Chen Xiang.

"Lord Chen, these are prepared for you, please put them on quickly."

Chen Xiang was both surprised and delighted as he happily accepted the package, distributing the rest to his brothers behind him.

After receiving the package, everyone quickly put on warm clothes. Chen Xiang changed his clothes first.

He hurriedly grabbed a set of clothes for Anqing, who was recovering from his injuries, and gave him a solemn instruction.

"Just lie there on the cart and you'll get better."

Anqing was heartbroken after learning of the fall of the Yuan Dynasty, but he regained his spirits after meeting Chen Xiang and nodded with a choked voice.

"Boss, we can't turn back now. It's all in chaos outside, with looting and vandalism everywhere. We can only keep moving forward."

"I know, don't worry, everything will be alright." Chen Xiang held An Qing's hand and nodded repeatedly.

The conversation between the two piqued Xixi's curiosity. She craned her neck to look and then used her small hand to put the supplies from the bracelet onto the carriage.

Thank goodness for these winter supplies; everyone should be fine this winter.

I wonder if Grandma and Mother knew about the hand warmers and other such items on the carriage.

Grandma Zhu was tidying up the things on the carriage when she heard her granddaughter's words and curiously turned over the quilt.

To my surprise, I saw several red bags with various patterns drawn on them inside the blanket.
