Chapter 82 Don't Praise Him
Upon seeing the newspaper, Zhong Er decided, "Let's do it!"
In the newspaper, Yang Liu, dressed in a suit, looked dashing and confident, leaning against a twin-tub washing machine—both flamboyant and handsome. Yang Liu, representing Huapeng, gave an interview to reporters; a huge article, a large photo, a long speech—he spoke better than he sang! How could this guy possibly say such things? The four huge characters for "Sales Manager" distorted Zhong Er's face. Manager? That's a leader! He's representing the factory in an interview; what else could he be but a leader? This is much more impressive than Sister Hua's back then; Sister Hua only mentioned him briefly in the newspaper. Unlike Yang Liu, with exclusive photos and a lengthy explanation. Zhong Er was completely dumbfounded.
Fortune favors the bold; there's no time to hesitate, let's do it!
To show off, he even borrowed a small tape recorder.
After staking out the location for over two months, he had long since figured out the couple's routine. Three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the two would sneak into this small courtyard after work and not emerge until around 10 PM. Zhong Er was even amazed at how vigorous the man was for his age; truly, he felt that he himself couldn't withstand that frequency and duration.
If Zhong Er knew that they would occasionally have an extra meal, he would probably admire them even more.
Today happens to be Thursday. At noon, Zhong Er, as if eating his last meal, went to a restaurant and ordered himself a plate of braised pork. He wiped the bottom of the bowl clean with a steamed bun. Stuffed, Zhong Er wiped his greasy mouth; this was the most nutritious meal he'd had in two months since the New Year's dinner at the Yao family's house. Or rather, the only good one. Everything else was nonsense; he just wanted to be able to eat meat every meal.
Zhong Er sneaked in around mid-afternoon. He climbed over the wall and jumped into the backyard garden. The gate didn't look like much, but the place was surprisingly big, a two-story building with gardens in the front and back.
The main door of the small building was locked, but the windows on the second floor were open.
Zhong Er, relying on his tree-climbing and wall-climbing skills honed since childhood, successfully climbed onto the second-floor balcony and climbed in through the window.
After searching up and down the stairs, Zhong Er found the second-floor bedroom to be the most recognizable by human presence. He then went back to the second-floor bedroom. First, he checked under the bed and discovered it wasn't empty; there were storage cabinets under the bed frame, making it impossible for anyone to hide there.
He looked around, then finally hid in the closet, shrinking into a corner and covering himself with clothes. He was now truly grateful that he was small and thin. He just hoped that the two of them wouldn't open the closet once they got inside, and even if they did, they wouldn't find him.
Around 7 p.m., Shen Jiao and Qi Dongming went upstairs one after the other.
Hearing the noise, Zhong Erxin's heart jumped.
As soon as Shen Jiao entered the room, she opened the wardrobe and took out her pajamas.
Zhong Er suffered cardiac arrest.
Shen Jiao threw her pajamas on the bed, then closed the window, took off her clothes, and went to take a shower.
Qi Dongming followed him into the house, opened the wardrobe, thought for a moment and closed it again, and then went directly to the bathroom.
In a short period of time, Zhong Er's heart stopped twice.
Hearing the sound of running water and the two laughing in the bathroom, Zhong Er quietly took out the wardrobe, quietly closed the wardrobe door, and then tiptoed to the opposite side, opened the window, climbed over the window, closed the window, and squatted down under the balcony window.
Hearing the noise from the bathroom, Zhong Er became anxious, hoping that the two of them wouldn't finish their business in the bathroom.
Fortunately, the two soon moved to the bed.
Zhong Er perked up, checked the camera to make sure the flash was off, and with a loud shout from Shen Jiao, Zhong Er snapped a picture through the window.
With another shout, Zhong Er took another picture.
Qi Dongming was taken aback. "Was there some kind of sound?"
Zhong Er quickly turned off the tape recorder and pressed himself against the wall to minimize his presence. A cool evening breeze swept by, and he realized he was covered in a cold sweat.
The two paused and listened at the same time. Chen Jiao said in a sweet voice, "There's no sound at all."
But at this moment, Qi Dongming was already somewhat downcast.
Shen Jiao...
Shen Jiao rolled over and lay on top of Qi Dongming, whispering in his ear about her father and sister-in-law. Shen Jiao knew what to say to provoke Qi Dongming the most. At times like this, as long as she talked about how she had witnessed her father and sister-in-law's affair, Qi Dongming would become even more agitated and violent, driving her to the brink of despair.
Shen Jiao described in detail the entanglement between her sister-in-law and her father, and how her sister-in-law served her father.
Sure enough, Qi Dongming moved, pinning her down. He then made Shen Jiao do as she had just instructed.
Zhong Er covered his mouth in shock. Was this something he could actually hear? So shocking?!
As if possessed, I didn't forget to turn on the tape recorder.
No wonder so many people love to eavesdrop; they can really hear secrets.
Look at everyone else, they're all eating their fill, while my little brother has suffered all these years with him. He's just endured it all, never tasted a single bit of sweetness. He's suffered, both physically and mentally!
The two people moved, and the movement grew larger and larger.
Zhong Er, mustering his courage, took the opportunity to snap several photos.
A hundred-dollar bill—this isn't something that's as precious as life itself. He's a poor man who can't afford to live without a job; for him, money is more important than life.
"Brother Qi, Yao is coming back soon. Judging from Yu Jun's attitude, if she really comes up with a new product, I might have to step down for her. It's like the factory can't function without her. The factory has been running just fine without her for the past two months."
Qi Dongming was in high spirits. "Just do as we said before, crush her completely. Minor trouble will only make her fight back. We should crush her from the start. Chen Zhiyuan is also a mechanical engineering student. We can have him work as your assistant later. Or, if any college students who joined this major this year look good to you, we can transfer them to work as your assistant."
"Brother Qi is the best. I knew you were the best to me." Shen Jiao said even more enthusiastically.
It wasn't until almost midnight that Zhong Er finally managed to climb back into the bedroom from the balcony, his legs still numb.
His legs were numb, and his heart and hands were trembling. He succeeded!
Feeling unwilling to leave like this, Zhong Er snapped several photos of the empty bed and bathroom, then took a few more of the whole room before heading out. Now he could finally hand in his task, and even exceed it! Wouldn't Brother Peng praise him?
