The next morning, Felix was having breakfast in the Great Hall.
"Flutter!"
A newspaper delivery owl landed on his desk. He gave the owl a Knut and opened the newspaper. Before he could read the contents, the second and third owls jumped to his side, jostling and rubbing, making the dishes jingle.
"Congratulations, Professor Happ," said Lupin, who was sitting next to him. He pointed to the title of the newspaper, "The youngest recipient of the St. Mungo's Medical Badge!" Felix
said politely, "Thank you!" He dodged the beak of an aggressive owl and pulled out the letter tied to its leg, but soon another seven or eight owls came, flapping their wings, staring at Felix, urging him to get the letter quickly.
He pulled out his wand and tapped the rim of the cup. All the letters from more than a dozen owls flew over. He swiftly picked them up in his hand and said to Lupin, "In fact, the badge was sent to me a long time ago, but it was only announced now."
The owls drank some orange juice, took two cookies, and flew away. The table was in a mess. Felix didn't eat and put the letters together.
He first took a look at the Daily Prophet. There was a photo of him receiving the St. Mungo's Medical Badge. He stood with a group of healers who looked very old, and the background was the logo of the St. Mungo's Magical Medical Association.
He stood in the middle of the crowd, smiling gently, holding a blue-green shield badge in his hand. In the center of the badge was a snake staff, and the background was the light green letter 'm'. Next to him stood Ms. Dorothea Bonham.
Then Felix began to open the letters one by one. Most of them were from the healer community. There were greetings from new healers and invitations for communication from healers with a certain reputation. He put these letters away and prepared to take time to reply to them one by one.
A gray-covered letter inside attracted his attention. It was an official letter from the Ministry of Magic. After opening it, it was found that he was awarded the Order of Merlin, Second Class, for his outstanding contribution in the field of memory damage treatment.
At the bottom of the document was a long list of signatures. These were all current members of the Wizengamot. He saw many familiar names, such as Amelia Bones, Barty Crouch, Tiberius Ogden, Griselda Marchbank, Albus Dumbledore, Cornelius Fudge...
"Second Class Merlin Badge, not bad." Felix said. He thought Fudge had interfered and delayed the matter indefinitely. The
awarding ceremony was scheduled for two weeks later, leaving him enough time to make arrangements.
Coming out of the hall, Felix saw a short and fat witch in pink clothes. He frowned but said nothing. Umbridge didn't come here often, but she couldn't be ignored. Her presence was even higher than Tonks and another male Auror who lived here.
Many young wizards knew that a senior official of the Ministry of Magic who loved to wear pink clothes appeared in the school. Sometimes he was accompanied by two Aurors, and sometimes he was alone. When he smiled, he looked like a little girl.
Umbridge was very low-key. She stood with Filch. When Felix looked over, Mrs. Norris ran over and rubbed against his feet.
"Norris, you look good." Felix said. The cat's originally rough fur became smooth, and there was more flesh on its body. At least the eyes did not look so protruding and weird.
"Meow~"
Mrs. Norris called lazily, and her voice was as creepy as ever.
Umbridge turned around and saw Felix. She immediately turned her head away and asked Filch in a low voice. Filch said loudly in a hoarse voice: "Professor Hepp... You asked the right person. He is really a good person..."
"Keep your voice down!" Umbridge pinched her throat and screamed. She looked back guiltily and saw Felix looking at her with a smile. She hurriedly handed Filch a bag, gave a few instructions and left.
"What did she ask you to do?" Felix walked over and asked. Filch
said, "Pah," Ask around the professors in the school, and you, sneakily, asked me to spread some detectors around the school. I asked her who ordered it, but she wouldn't tell me."
"Give it to me, Mr. Filch," said Felix, "I'll go ask Minerva. By the way, do you have enough tonic for Madam Norris?"
"Yes, there are some left from before," Filch said with a flushed face, "I also asked Madam Pomfrey to make a new batch, worried that I might make a mistake... Look, how beautiful Madam Norris is now, and none of the little wizards who made mistakes can escape!"
"Ahem!" Felix coughed twice, "Just come to me if you have any questions. I'll be leaving first, I have classes..."
...
Seventh grade ancient magic class.
Felix glanced at the students in the audience, "Try to concentrate, students. We are simulating the new Ts exam. Although you have studied well in the past few months, you still need to be respectful."
The wizards in the audience laughed until he reminded them, "There are still ten minutes." The students began to busy themselves with the final check.
The sunlight shone through the tall windows, forming mottled spots of light, shining on their test papers. The tall Marcus huddled himself on a narrow single table, which was also a simulation of the new Ts exam format. He lowered his head, quickly scanned the entire paper, and occasionally used a feather pen to correct his answers. His other hand was struggling with the acne on his face.
Geoffrey, Penelope, and Percy finished the test papers early, but Percy was still frowning and checking until the last moment, when he relaxed and showed a satisfied smile.
"Time is up. Everyone stop writing, and the test papers are flying."
Dozens of test papers flew towards Felix. He put the test papers on the podium, and a palm-sized magic puppet immediately jumped onto the test papers, holding a golden feather pen in his hand, and began to correct the papers.
Penelope sighed and said, "Every once in a while, you can see obvious progress. The professor's magic puppet can already correct the test papers on his behalf."
Percy nodded, "You also know how powerful my advanced magic puppet is. It has just stored more than a hundred books, but it can immediately give me feedback when I ask it to check anything."
Penelope said regretfully, "It's a pity that I didn't sign up for the duel competition. If I miss this opportunity, I will graduate next year."
"Okay, classmates, we need to wait for a few minutes," Felix looked at everyone, "I'm glad to see that you have all finished the test papers. Normally, this exam will take a whole morning, and our simulation this time is only two hours... less than."
"Because of your thinking classroom!" Wood said loudly. He had enough reason to be excited. From the original ancient magic scum to now finishing the test papers ahead of time, it has only been a few months.
Moreover, at the very least, he can get an e, and if he is lucky, he can even get an o.
Wood's speech won applause. Two boys whistled and cheered.
Felix waited for the classroom to quiet down and said with a smile: "The knowledge is there, but not everyone will learn it. We can chat in the remaining time... What are your plans after graduation? Have you thought about it?"
"I want to help my family." Geoffrey said.
"The Ministry of Magic." Percy whispered expectantly.
"Well, I haven't thought about it yet... But Woodmere United has sent me an invitation to be a reserve Quidditch player. I have been hesitating." Wood scratched his chin.
There are still quite a few people who are not sure. They are talking about their ideals.
"I want to go to Gringotts!"
"I think it's good to walk around and see the magic of different countries..."
A few minutes passed quickly. "Okay, let me see your grades." Felix picked up the test paper and flipped through it one by one. "Hmm..."
The students stared at Professor Hepp. The classroom was very quiet, and there was not even the "rustling" sound of turning pages. They listened carefully to every word he said.
Felix announced the results, "Everyone passed the test! No one scored below E, and as for O, there were twenty-three."
A Hufflepuff wizard said loudly, "When the exam comes, it's not impossible for everyone to get O. Professor, a new legend is about to appear in Hogwarts!"
Felix couldn't help laughing and said, "Legend...is it you, or me?"
"Of course...us!" The boy blinked and said pleasantly, and the classroom was immediately filled with a happy atmosphere.
