A Hogwarts Professor of Magic Chapter 229: Humanoid Armor Spell

Harry woke up early from bed.

The wind was so strong that he was awakened. He glanced at the window and it was pitch black outside.

Harry closed his eyes again, but felt a chill on the back of his neck. 'Is the window leaking? ' This thought turned over in his mind for a few times, and then he turned back suddenly and saw Peeves's annoying face.

"Why are you blowing like that?" Harry said angrily.

Peeves puffed up his cheeks and blew hard twice, which made Harry so angry that he sat up and took out his wand from the pillow. Peeves flew away like a deflated ball.

This farce made Harry lose all sleepiness. He glanced at the others, who were still sleeping soundly. Harry opened the door and a ginger figure crouched by his feet and passed by him. He subconsciously grabbed it in his hand.

"Crookshanks?" Harry looked at the cat in his hand. Its face looked like it had been flattened, and there was always an inexplicable fierceness. "Ron was right to guard against you." He closed the door and threw it beside the spiral staircase. "Go, don't think about Scabbers. Hermione and Ron had a few arguments because of you."

Crookshanks glanced at him with disdain and turned away.

Harry was in a daze in the dim common room for a long time. There were still a few hours before dawn, so he had to find something to do. He took out his duel system paper from his schoolbag and thought about how to finish it.

"—— With the Disarming Charm as the core, um—— at least it must be cast silently and without a wand, and the casting... must be concealed," Harry bit the quill, thought for a long time, and wrote: "Defense is also very important, try to practice the Shield Charm to the same level as the Disarming Charm."

After thinking about it, he crossed out the last sentence and changed it to "be able to use it proficiently, reaching the level of a third-level spell."

"Other spells are supplementary. When facing long-range enemies, use - use the Imprisonment Charm to gain the initiative, so silent spells are a must." Harry dipped his finger in the ink again, "Concentrate on superior spells to attack quickly - but if it is blocked, it means, what does it mean?"

Harry scratched his head and flipped through the notes next to him. These were the words of Professor Hepp that he recorded during the summer special training. After flipping through a few pages, his eyes lit up and he quickly wrote, "——It means that the enemy is not a mediocre hand, you must adjust your mentality and proceed steadily. This reflects the advantage of mastering enough spells to find the enemy's weaknesses!"

Harry stopped and began to ponder the meaning of this passage.

Professor Heppe said that his current level was far inferior to that of a senior Auror. Although his Disarming Spell was not much different in power, the difference in experience was huge.

He might be able to confuse the enemy with his young face and knock down a master by surprise, but if the opponent was prepared, the battle could be resolved in one or two minutes. He would be the one who was defeated.

Harry thought about it. What should he do if he encountered an enemy that the Disarming Spell could not deal with, such as Sirius Black or Snape?

After thinking for a long time, the result was that there was no way. If the Disarming Spell was useless, the Stunning Spell, Imprisonment Spell, and Freezing Spell that he mastered would be even less likely to be effective.

Thinking of this, he suddenly felt a little discouraged.

"Black was a genius in school, and he experienced war after graduation. His only weakness may be that he was imprisoned in Azkaban for twelve years and tortured by Dementors until he lost his mind..."

Harry had heard Hermione explain that Dementors were quite disgusting dark creatures. Anyone who approached them would feel cold and their minds would become rigid. Then their happiness would be taken away, their mood would become low, and even their consciousness of resistance would begin to weaken. In the end, they would become food on the plate of Dementors and have their souls sucked away.

He used his own experience to prove the credibility of Hermione's information.

Harry shuddered. He remembered the name Hermione mentioned - Dementor's Kiss, "Too evil."

It took two or three hours for Harry to finally finish revising the paper in the dim light of the lounge. "This is the most serious paper I have written so far." He said with emotion.

Harry packed up his things and looked at the sky. During the time he was writing the paper, the storm not only did not weaken, but became more violent. However, there was a faint light on the horizon.

He walked towards the auditorium at mealtime.

The auditorium was empty. Harry was about to choose a seat in the middle. He glanced outside and saw a familiar figure.

It was Professor Hep!

He was wearing a dark robe and standing in the rainstorm. If it weren't for a flash of lightning, Harry might not be able to see him clearly.

"Is the professor worried about something? You wouldn't torture yourself like Wood did just to experience an extreme environment, would you?" Harry covered his head with a hood and walked out of the auditorium.

When he approached Professor Hep, he was about to say hello, but he found that he bumped into something and was pulled aside by a force, and fell into the mud.

"Ouch! Pah!"

Harry's mouth and glasses were splashed with mud, but he was full of curiosity now, and he didn't touch the professor.

Felix looked down at him, "Harry, what are you doing?"

"Uh..." Harry got up from the ground and stammered, "I saw you standing outside and wanted to say hello, but I lost my balance for a moment."

Felix laughed, "It's not that you lost your balance... It's my fault. I was just thinking about how to protect myself from rain and wind."

Harry became interested, "Is there any suitable spell?" He felt that he should be able to use it.

"Waterproof and moisture-proof and water-proof and fire-proof. The former has a better effect of isolating water and fog." Felix introduced, he looked at Harry's embarrassed appearance, took out his wand and tapped him.

A large amount of water mist evaporated from Harry's body, and he felt warm all over. Then, he saw the water flow sliding down his body and clothes, as if he had a layer of oil or something all over his body, and not a drop of rain could touch him.

Harry asked Felix for these two spells. In fact, they are very similar and can even be regarded as one spell.

He took out his wand and tapped his glasses, "Waterproof and moisture-proof!" The water flow automatically avoided the lenses, and his vision became clear.

"Now the rain won't be an obstacle anymore!" Harry thanked Felix excitedly. He felt that he had a better chance of winning today.

Felix said, "Don't thank me. Granger asked me two days ago if there was a waterproof spell, and I told her, but I may have met you in advance."

Harry was ready to turn around and thank Hermione, but a question popped up in his mind: "Professor Hepp, haven't you mastered this spell? But you just said you were thinking about rain and -" He paused and said uncertainly: "Wind protection?"

"Yes," Felix said, "It can be expected that the wind on the Quidditch field today will be very strong."

"Then have you come up with any solution?"

Felix smiled, "Didn't you experience it just now?"

"Experienced it?" Harry racked his brains, his stomach began to growl, "Is it the Shield Charm? What I just hit was the Shield Charm?" This was the only thing he could think of.

"Yes," Felix looked at him approvingly, "The Shield Charm is invisible and intangible, but it can defend against both magical and physical attacks. Although it is not very powerful... but it is obviously windproof."

This sounded a little incredible. Harry had never thought that the Shield Charm could be used in this way. Would a normal person think of this?

"Harry, I said that when you are proficient in a spell, you can adjust the effect of the spell according to your own ideas." Felix said, and a transparent spherical barrier suddenly expanded with him as the center, almost touching the tip of Harry's nose.

Harry looked at this so-called "Shield Charm" in surprise. He could even see the surface of the sphere emitting light, and the rain hitting it splashed with ripples.

He reached out and poked it, and the spherical barrier was slightly concave, and then his finger was flicked away.

"So - you succeeded now?" Harry asked. In his opinion, changing the Shield Charm that blocked a small area in front of him into a large, colorless, transparent sphere was obviously a success.

Felix tilted his head and motioned for him to keep watching. The colorless, transparent spherical magic barrier began to sink inward, fitting him more and more, and becoming closer to a human figure.

In the end, it was as if he had put on a human-shaped air cover on the outside.

Felix said regretfully: "I just tried to deform the Shield Charm and stick it thinly to the outside of my clothes. Maybe it can be called a human-shaped Shield Charm? But unfortunately... this technique is quite difficult. It can't be completed in half an hour."
