"What's wrong? I saw you looked a little angry when you first came in." Felix said. He looked no different from yesterday, except that he was wearing a large dark brown hat.
"Professor, I already know what that 'very interesting' rune is." Hermione emphasized. This word full of bad taste was mentioned by Professor Hepp last night when he suggested that she try to discover the power of a single rune herself.
"Tell me about it, let me see if you are right." Felix's mouth corners were already raised.
"It's the u乳z that represents the power of the bison." She made a strange sound, and a layer of light white light covered her hands. She looked at him unkindly.
"Just as I thought... ahem! An interesting experience must have happened to you." Felix said.
"It's really interesting! I got up early today and avoided everyone. I tried the runes in the corner of the common room. Some failed, some succeeded..." Her face wrinkled with confusion and puzzlement, "I don't know why, Fred and George also slipped out early, and they were tiptoeing, as if they were avoiding someone."
"Uh..."
"I was using the rune at the time, and I heard the sound of them walking, and I couldn't control myself for a moment, and I, I..." Hermione said with a look of annoyance, "I broke the armrests of the chair in front of them."
Felix tried hard to hold back his laughter and comforted her, "It's not a big problem, only the two of them saw it."
"It's not anymore," Hermione said sadly, "They told Lee Jordan."
Lee Jordan is the commentator of the school's Quidditch games, famous for his big mouth. Felix watched several Quidditch games last school year and was deeply impressed by him.
"Everything will pass, um, maybe," Felix changed the subject, "Let's get to the point today. Well, we won't be teaching in the Thinking Hut today. It's being renovated and the noise is too loud."
Hermione looked at him blankly. What was the professor talking about?
"...Exploring the power of a single rune will allow you to better understand the rune itself. Otherwise, it's useless to master more runes. This is also my recent experience."
Felix said, and a fiery red rune symbol appeared from the tip of his index finger. It bounced past the little witch.
When the rune symbol returned to his palm, Felix grabbed it. Hermione suspected that Professor Hepp had crushed the little guy, but he slowly spread his palm, and a small flame burned quietly.
"It's almost enough to do this."
Hermione, who was originally a little dissatisfied, was attracted by the new knowledge and soon she began to ask questions one after another.
Under his guidance, in less than half an hour, Hermione mastered the magic rune meaning "light". A white and warm light appeared from her hands, although it was only a thin and shallow layer.
"You have laid a good foundation before, Miss Granger. You can definitely play a greater role in the magic rune club."
Hermione was stunned when she heard this, and then said excitedly: "Professor, is the magic rune club about to start?"
"Yes, the news will be announced next Monday."
Hermione is very much looking forward to the magic rune club. According to what the professor said before, he will focus on the practical knowledge of ancient magic runes.
In the rest of the time, Hermione practiced alone, while Felix was flipping through a big book, and his fingertips were always jumping with various magic rune symbols.
But Hermione looked particularly tired and yawned. She heard the professor's voice coming,
"Did you use the time converter today?"
Hermione looked over in panic. Professor Hep was looking at her with a scrutinizing look across the big book.
"What? Uh, oh..." She calmed down for a long time, "There's never enough time. I have to do a lot of homework, practice extra runes, and read some reference books... It took me six hours in the morning alone."
Felix shook his head, "I can already imagine how busy you are on weekdays. Do you plan to treat one day as two or three?"
Hermione didn't say anything.
"Actually, I suggest you give up one or two subjects..."
"No, I don't want to give up." Hermione interrupted him and said firmly.
"If that's the case, you can consult Percy Weasley. As far as I know, he got 12 certificates in the OWLs exam."
Hermione nodded in approval of the suggestion.
She was indeed curious about how Percy used the Time Turner. It had only been a week, and she had already worked hard.
"Can you tell me what it felt like to use the Time Turner?"
Hermione noticed that Professor Happ had hidden his face behind the big book again, and asked her calmly. She thought for a moment and described her experience: "I felt like I was moving backwards very quickly, like I was flying, but I wasn't actually moving at all..."
"You think the scene was moving?"
"Yes."
"Besides that, what else did you feel?"
"I heard some strange noises, like a drum was beating in my ear. I tried to speak, but I couldn't hear anything. I could only see some vague patterns, some like clouds."
"Thank you, Miss Granger, your answer has satisfied my curiosity very well."
After the brief conversation, the office became quiet.
Felix didn't put down the book until Hermione left. "The mystery of time..."
The next day, a new week began.
After finishing the first class, Felix took the time to go to the headmaster's office and handed over three peepholes to Dumbledore.
"Ingenious idea, I guess it may have incorporated the tracking spell. Oh, not only that, I also saw some of Nick's techniques. It seems that you have been communicating frequently recently."
His silver-white beard was tied up, and he was looking at the walnut-sized pocket peephole through the half-moon lens.
"Can you see it?" Felix asked in surprise.
"I was also fascinated by alchemy when I was young, and Nick taught me, but unfortunately, I did not continue along this path." Dumbledore said regretfully.
Felix suddenly remembered the introduction of this old man that he had seen on the Chocolate Frog card a long time ago. One sentence came to his mind again:
"With his partner Nick Flamel, he has achieved great results in alchemy."
So, the headmaster's alchemy attainments are not bad? He thought of the Deluminator that he had accidentally glimpsed.
He suddenly realized that he only had a very general understanding of Dumbledore's past. For example, defeating the dark wizard Grindelwald, suppressing Voldemort, and a series of papers he published when he was young.
But what else? He knew that the headmaster liked sweets, chamber music and stone pillar bowling.
Felix couldn't help but imagine.
"No problem, Felix, you did a great job." Dumbledore said.
After Dumbledore confirmed that everything was correct, he said goodbye.
"If there is nothing else, I will leave first, Headmaster Dumbledore."
"There is nothing else except that I want to thank you, Felix." Dumbledore said, "Oh, by the way, your hat is very beautiful."
Felix left with a stern face, and he refused to respond to this sentence. As he left, he quickly glanced at the portrait of Headmaster Phineas Black, gesturing at him, as if to remind him implicitly not to forget the conversation a week ago.
