A Hogwarts Professor of Magical Writings Chapter 252: Gifts

The next morning, Christmas finally arrived.

Felix got up early, and when he came out of the bedroom, the small Christmas tree in the office was already piled with various Christmas gifts.

He happily opened the boxes, "A book, not bad." He put "Forgotten Ancient Magic and Spells" aside, "Unfortunately, I've already read it."

"Hey, Trelawney actually sent me a gift?" Felix thought he was dazzled. He took another look at the signature of the note. Yes, it was Sybill Trelawney. He opened the wrapping paper and found a long beaded necklace inside. This thing could fit three of him.

He read the content on the note, which was the usual mysterious sentence - "Provide protection in the dark." Felix shrugged, "You are really amazing. I have quit your class, but you can still find an opportunity to predict for me."

He was going to mail a barrel of honey sherry from the Three Broomsticks as a return gift. Hmm... Write it down first and solve it together after opening the gifts.

He opened another package, which was the Beater's Bible given to him by Professor McGonagall. He flipped to a page at random, and on it was written in bold ink "First Principle: Kill the Seeker". He was so happy that he grinned.

Felix kept opening the gift boxes, most of which were books, and a considerable part of which he had read. He suddenly understood Dumbledore's troubles.

He said to himself: "Many people think that I should be given books, and they also think that I will like books."

Fortunately, Dumbledore gave Felix a small homemade silverware, similar to the ornaments he placed on the headmaster's desk. As long as it was touched lightly, it would spray out clusters of water mist; Hagrid gave him a large bottle of Acromantula venom, and he didn't know how to use it. Maybe he could give it to Professor Snape next year? Snape gave a small bottle of powerful antidote, "just right to cooperate with the powerful truth serum given last year."

Professor Flitwick gave a certain hat, and even Lupin gave some materials of magical creatures. Judging from the processing method, Felix guessed that he might have "gotten" it himself.

Among these gifts, he found an unsigned gift box that had just arrived this morning. After opening it, there was a clay doll inside.

Felix recognized it as "his" from the doll's black hair and blue eyes.

Although it was unsigned, Felix was familiar with the unique smell of soil. He picked it up and played with it for a while before putting it away.

The process of opening the gifts lasted for an hour. He also wrote down a string of names on the parchment next to it, which needed to be returned.

"Well, work is also needed during Christmas."

...

At the same time, Harry and the other two came to Hagrid's hut.

"Hagrid, open the door quickly, it's us--" Harry knocked hard on the door, while pushing the excited Fang away. Its tongue licked his hand, leaving a large mouthful of saliva, and the cold wind immediately took away the heat from his hand.

The door opened, revealing Hagrid's decadent bearded face, "You came quite early today, but it's actually unnecessary-the hearing will be almost summer, I, I also need to cheer up--hiccup!" He burped, and his sour breath sprayed Harry in the face.

Harry hurriedly crawled in through the gap in his arm. The fireplace in the hut was burning brightly. A large bundle of firewood was piled next to the fireplace. Buckbeak was lying in the corner with a large iron bucket in front of it.

Ron crawled in right after him. He shook off the snow on his feet. "Hey, Buckbeak, hello." He looked into the bucket and saw sticky, finger-thick white worms. He was disgusted. "Hagrid, what is this! It looks like an enlarged maggot..." Hagrid

lifted Hermione up, as if he was carrying a small animal or something - "Oh, thank you!" Hermione said in a panic - Hagrid glanced in the direction Ron pointed and said in a rough voice: "That's the larvae of the Flobberworm. You will learn about it next. They are easy to survive and eat all kinds of plants. I'm going to go to the cafeteria to see what's left and feed them."

Ron stammered, "Don't tell me, you're going to let us raise this thing in class?" His face was as pale as Draco's.

Hagrid blushed and said, "I may not be able to concentrate on the class for the next period of time, you know, because of Buckbeak. In fact, Flobberworms are also very good. They are safe and full of treasures. Their mucus can be used to make medicine and can also be used as food for other animals."

Hermione said worriedly, "Don't be like this, Hagrid - we, we are here for Buckbeak's case."

Harry and Ron nodded in unison, trying to dispel Hagrid's thoughts, "Don't think too much, Hagrid, you are quite popular now." Ron said, "Except for Slytherin."

Since the accident in the first class, Hagrid was worried that he would be expelled, but after Felix comforted him, he was relieved. Later, he followed Felix's advice and taught courses such as unicorns, cruppies, bowtruckles, flower fairies, and ball-dove birds.

Except for the lessons of the Acromantula and the Augureyss, the feedback from most of the remaining people was quite good.

For example, unicorns, storks and flower fairies are very popular among junior wizards, especially witches, because they are so lovable.

Young unicorns have golden fur and are golden all over, just like creatures from the most beautiful fairy tales.

Storks are plump, furry birds that cannot fly, but they are extremely flexible and can suddenly appear from one place to another. Although the distance they move each time is not far, it is enough for them to avoid most dangers.

As for flower fairies, they have a similar appearance to humans, but they have a pair of insect wings on their backs. Their IQ is generally not high, and they often quarrel over various trivial matters, but they unexpectedly hit the cute spots of many little girls.

Hagrid looked at them suspiciously, and the three of them immediately spoke out Felix's suggestions.

"Can it work?"

"Try it, Hagrid! It can't get any worse."

So Hagrid wrote a letter to Professor Kettleburn. The ink that Hagrid placed on the windowsill was about to solidify into a lump. In the end, Hermione conjured up a bright blue flame to melt the ink.

When they came out of Hagrid's hut, Hermione said expectantly: "I really hope Professor Kettleburn can influence the Ministry of Magic."

Harry and Ron also looked in agreement, but the next second, Hermione became serious: "Harry, I still want to discuss the Firebolt with you."

"Oh, don't spoil the fun, Hermione, today is Christmas." Ron said.

"What else? After you try the Firebolt? I need to remind you-it comes from an unknown source, there is no signature, no note, nothing!" Hermione said sharply.

"Really? Do you know what I think? I hope you can control your cat and don't let it always try to sneak into the dormitory!" Ron also raised his voice. "Scabbers is already pitiful!"

Harry looked helpless, the two had argued many times over Hermione's cat, Crookshanks. The cat was indeed very strange, always staring at Ron's pet Scabbers. Although it was common sense that cats ate mice, he sincerely hoped that it could change its diet, even if it was a juicy spider.
