A Hogwarts Professor of Magical Writings Chapter 71: Luna Lovegood

Felix was eating his breakfast leisurely. Little wizards came one after another. They had smiles on their faces and were talking and laughing with each other.

The whole hall was filled with a lively atmosphere.

After coming out of the hall, Felix walked towards the Forbidden Forest. On the way, he ran into Hagrid who was coming to the castle.

"Hello, Professor Happ." Hagrid greeted him warmly.

"Hello, Hagrid. I received your gift. I like it very much." Felix said, especially its material. "

Ha, I'm glad you like it. By the way, the automatic mop you gave me is quite useful. It cleans the house." Hagrid said in a rough voice, "I don't have to worry about it at all. It can even clean itself."

After the greetings, Felix came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. He was going to break off some chestnut branches. He didn't have much in stock.

But halfway, he frowned.

On the snowy ground, there was a line of footprints heading straight towards the Forbidden Forest.

Felix measured the size of the footprints. It looked like a little wizard who violated the ban. He followed the footprints.

Felix walked in the snow. There was no other sound except the "crunching" sound of snow and broken leaves under his feet. Unconsciously, he had come to the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

However, this place is quite remote. In the northwest corner of the Forbidden Forest, it is quite close to the main gate of Hogwarts. The little wizards go to Hogsmeade Village on weekends.

Felix stopped and everything around him formed a silent atmosphere. White snowflakes fell from the sky. He raised his head, as if countless ice crystals were flying towards him.

Everything was silent, and the world was empty as if he was the only one.

"Hiss~"

A black creature that looked like a horse poked its head out of the Forbidden Forest. It looked at Felix with its silver-white eyes, sneezed, and then flapped a pair of large and black bat-like wings and retreated back to the forest.

"It turned out to be a night star." Felix was a little surprised.

This is a very rare magical creature. Many wizards classify them as special invisible beasts - only those who have experienced death, witnessed death, and understood death can see them.

This trait makes them have a bad reputation. Thestrals were once considered to be a symbol of bad luck - enough to be compared to the death omen of wizards encountering big black dogs. But they are actually quite docile animals.

Felix became more curious. He went deeper into the forbidden forest and walked for about two minutes before coming to an open space.

In the snow, a little girl stood among a dozen skinny thestrals. She held a handful of hay in her hand and handed it to the mouth of the thestral closest to her.

He also heard her humming softly, looking very happy.

Felix waited until she had fed him all the dry grass in her hand before walking over. His footsteps woke up the little witch.

The girl raised her head. She had a messy head of golden hair that reached her waist, and her eyebrows and eyes were very light in color.

When he got close enough, he found that the little witch had put her wand behind her left ear. She was wearing a pair of frog glasses and a necklace made of butter beer corks.

At this moment, her eyes were fixed on the person who suddenly appeared.

Felix felt a strange emotion in his heart. This weird little wizard... could it be Ravenclaw?

"What's your name? Which school are you from?" Felix asked.

"Luna," she said in a voice that sounded like singing, "Luna Lovegood, my name is Luna Lovegood. I've seen your open class. You're a professor."

"Yes, it's obvious. Miss Lovegood, which house are you from?"

"Ravenclaw said that extraordinary wisdom is the greatest wealth of mankind."

Felix understood, as expected... He said in a reprimanding tone, "Why did you go deep into the Forbidden Forest alone? Don't you know it's dangerous here?"

"They're not dangerous." Luna said in a daze, "Thestrals are very friendly. Do you want to feed them together?" She suddenly squatted down, pushed away the snow, and grabbed a handful of half-green and half-yellow hay in her hand.

She turned her light-colored eyes to him, and Felix found that her voice was almost flat when she spoke, but with her ethereal voice, it felt like she was singing.

"No." He said.

So Luna turned around and fed hay to a little Thestral as if no one was around. It seemed to have just learned to walk, crouching down its somewhat stiff limbs, and licking Luna's fingers with its tongue.

She hummed a strange tune softly, and snowflakes fell on her clothes, accumulating a thin layer.

Felix's mood became calm, and he did not try to break the atmosphere.

"You are in a better mood?" Luna said.

"What?"

"You were just entangled by a harassment fly." Luna said sympathetically.

"I-what did you say?"

"Harassment flies... sometimes they float into your ears and mess up your brain." She said, "I just seemed to hear one buzzing here."

Felix did not believe that such creatures existed, but he asked her with great interest, "Can you tell me more about harassment flies?"

Luna showed a surprised expression, she held up her frog glasses with one hand and looked at Felix from behind it.

"Harassment flies... well, they are usually invisible, but when they want to do something to your brain, they will emit red light excitedly."

"So, you saw it?"

"Yes." She said very confidently, as if she was telling some truth.

Felix became suspicious for the first time, and he looked around, but found nothing.

After a long time, the two returned to the castle together.

Walking on the road, he asked Luna, "Didn't you go home for Christmas?"

She said calmly, "My father was busy writing the Christmas special, but we agreed to look for the Scimitar-Horned Snorkeller during the summer vacation."

Another name he had never heard of, "Your father is--" "

Xenophilius Lovegood, he is the editor-in-chief of The Quibbler."

Felix said nothing, he knew the name of the newspaper.

Standing at the gate of the castle, Felix said to her, "I won't deduct points this time. Go, find your friends and enjoy a happy Christmas."

"I'm very happy now." Luna said with a happy smile, and then she showed a thoughtful expression, "You reminded me that I met a Gryffindor freshman before. She seemed very friendly. Maybe we can be friends."

"Really? You can try." Felix encouraged casually.

"I remember that she was holding a rooster in her hand at that time." Luna said lightly, "But who doesn't have some strange habits."

"What did you say?" Felix raised his voice, but he quickly softened his tone again, "Do you know her name?"

Luna shook her head, and the two strands of hair on her forehead fluttered, "But her hair is very beautiful, like a bunch of dancing flames."
