Felix glanced around. Some people smiled, some looked alert, and some lowered their heads, pretending not to see him.
"Felix! I've been looking forward to your arrival." Sirius strode over, hugged Felix, and whispered, "Thank God, I almost thought I had sneaked into the Death Eater camp."
Felix smiled and whispered, "You called the people yourself, didn't you?"
Sirius sighed, "They are all in-laws, written in the family tree, there is nothing I can do... Frank and Alice are also uncomfortable." He let go of Felix, and Harry, Ron and Draco came over.
"Professor." "Professor Hepp." "Hello, Professor Hepp." They said separately.
Felix nodded at them, and Draco glanced at the other two. Seeing that they had no intention of leaving, he whispered, "Professor, my father wants to talk to you alone..." Harry and Ron's eyes widened immediately, like a cat smelling a mouse.
"Now?" Felix looked in the direction of the Malfoys in surprise. Lucius Malfoy was hugging his wife, holding a snake-head cane in his other hand, chatting and laughing with Mr. Crouch. Crouch had a stern face and a meticulous expression. He rarely spoke, and spent most of his time listening, occasionally responding "That's right", "I agree", "Maybe there is a better way".
In between talking, Lucius looked over here and smiled reservedly, "Excuse me, Mr. Crouch." He walked over, changed the cane to the left, and stretched out his hand: "Hello, Mr. Happ, I have been looking forward to meeting you formally."
"Mr. Malfoy--"
"Call me Lucius, and I will call you Felix. I have a close relationship with Severus." Lucius Malfoy said, and the two held hands together. "I was his prefect when he entered school." He stared at Felix with his gray eyes.
"Well, Lucius, do you want to know how little Malfoy is doing in school?"
"Actually... some private matters." Lucius said.
"Well," Felix nodded and said, "This way please--"
The two came to a secluded place, behind an oak tree, half of Lucius's face was hidden in the shadow. From a distance, Harry and Ron blatantly looked out, Ron said to Draco, "What conspiracy are you guys up to?"
Draco looked at him with contempt. Ron's robe seemed to be modified from an old dress, the edges of the cuffs were white, and the color was not pure black. "If I were you, I would be ashamed to death to meet people in such a robe-little Ronnie." He said in a long tone.
Ron was so angry that he trembled all over. Harry quickly pulled him back. Today was Regulus' funeral, and he didn't want them to fight here. Harry stood in front of Ron and wanted to mock Draco Malfoy, but a surprised voice sounded behind Draco, making him stiffen.
"Draco, you just, just--" Narcissa looked at him hesitantly, her eyes moving between her son and Ron, with an expression as if she had heard a shocking secret, her blue eyes widened.
"Mom! It's not what you think--" Draco hurriedly explained. The nickname he used was just a mockery, and had no other meaning.
"Draco Malfoy, come with me." Narcissa straightened her clothes and said with a straight face.
Draco opened his mouth and followed his mother dejectedly.
Harry and Ron looked at each other. After a while, Ron suddenly shuddered and his face wrinkled: "She didn't think of--so disgusting!" Harry suppressed his laughter and said: "At least, Malfoy will never call you like that again."
They looked at the big oak tree where Professor Happ and Lucius Malfoy were talking, guessing what they would talk about. But the fact is that they are still going around in circles on the periphery.
"...I sent a letter to Dumbledore to express my concerns. Muggles and wizards are two parallel lines, but unfortunately, stories like "The Fountain of Good Luck" that encourage wizards and Muggles to marry are still circulating." Lucius put on a sanctimonious attitude.
He said softly, "I don't want my son to be affected by reading such stories, thus tarnishing his pure bloodline. As a father, I have always been trembling with fear, helping him to resist the interference from the complex world outside... But I suddenly found that there was a person whose influence on Draco once surpassed my father. He refuted me for the first time. He used the content of a comic book."
Felix smiled and said, "People always grow up, instead of living like their parents. As a professor, it is quite a sense of accomplishment to be loved by students."
"But don't you think you are too involved?" Lucius Malfoy said coldly.
"What do you mean, Christmas gifts, or something else?"
"Excuse me, Felix, you are Severus's favorite student, and we are naturally in the same camp." Lucius said, his gray eyes narrowed: "I have some shallow and insignificant reputation in the pure-blood circle. We are not old-fashioned and welcome fresh blood as well."
"Lucius, you should have heard about what I did..." Felix said, he felt that the conversation between the two was now getting to the point.
"Threat some stupid fools who can't see the situation clearly?" Lucius said, "They don't hinder our friendship. You have never had any conflict with the Malfoy family."
"I'm pro-Muggle..."
"As long as it doesn't affect Draco."
"Some pure-bloods will strongly oppose..."
"I will mediate."
"I'm not interested in idiots..."
"I'm just the opposite. You'll find that with just a little trickery, you can become their brain."
"I'm of Muggle origin..."
"To be precise, I was born in a Muggle orphanage," Lucius said cunningly: "From the talent you have shown, we have reason to believe that your bloodline is quite pure. If you are willing, I will investigate a "satisfactory" result and give you justice."
Felix laughed. He knew Lucius's intention. He might represent a part of the people. As Felix's presence became stronger and his influence grew, some people could no longer sit still and tried to send friendly signals. It would be an excellent choice if they could pull him to their camp.
He believed that as long as he spoke, the families that had offended him would quietly decline, and the company he had not yet started would also develop rapidly with the support of hidden forces. He could even choose between the position of Hogwarts Headmaster and Minister of Magic after staying in Hogwarts for a few years or even a dozen years.
Seeing that he seemed to be hesitating, Lucius warned him in a pretentious tone: "The past should not be an obstacle. We should look forward. What do you think?"
"There is only one problem-"
"What?"
"There's only one question, Lucius," Felix looked into his gray eyes and said, "You did remind me to look forward... but I saw more and farther, beyond your expectations--"
Lucius frowned.
"Do you know how to block the brain?" Felix suddenly changed the subject and asked.
Lucius showed a puzzled expression, and Felix finally advised him, "There's no harm in learning more, you will use it. Maybe we have a chance to cooperate."
