Shu Miao was stunned by his tough question, and after thinking about it, she calmed down a bit.
"Then tell me."
Zili spoke toughly, but he turned his feet and chose a stool farthest away from her.
As soon as he sat down, he stretched out his hands and took a close-up of his black nails.
"Well, they promised me that if I could deliver coal to their family, they would sell me coal at the market price for lighting."
"Who knew that as soon as the coal was unloaded, they would turn around and say they didn't have enough coal and wouldn't sell it to me!"
"That's fine, but you still say I'm a bad boy and don't know how to respect my elders. What a damn rip-off!" When he said this, he slapped his thigh in anger.
Unexpectedly, he used too much force this time, causing his face to twist in pain.
He rubbed his thigh with his teeth bared, and continued to curse.
"If I hadn't been clever and used my excellent cooking skills to trick these two old guys into thinking they had a bargain, I wouldn't have even gotten a meal after working all morning!"
"It's his fault that his family can't give birth to a son. Even if they did, he'd be an asshole!"
Shu Miao was silent for a moment, then heaved a long sigh.
"I was inconsiderate. Next time if you have any problem, just go to the school and ask the guard to hand me the letter."
At the same time, she also realized that she should adjust her mindset.
After all, Zili is no longer the silly kid who only cared about food when he was little.
Shu Zili shrugged indifferently at her instructions, thinking in his heart that important matters must be discussed together.
But for such a small matter as lack of coal, he had to run to the school to inform his sister. Doesn't he have any shame?
"Since you know that old couple is taking advantage of you, just ignore them from now on."
"Once you find a job, you can live in the dormitory or rent a house. Anyway, the rent cannot exceed..."
Before she could finish her words, she was suddenly interrupted.
"No, I won't leave!"
"So that those two old bastards don't think I'm afraid of them, I'll just hang out in front of them every day and piss them off to death!"
Shu Miao knew that he was angry, so she didn't try to persuade him. She changed the subject and planned to talk about it after he calmed down.
After Zili had vented most of his anger, the two of them set off for the local police station.
The two of them took a series of certificates and documents to explain the situation to the police officer in charge of household registration. Then, according to the other party's instructions, the guarantor signed and sealed.
I was arranged to go to the photo studio nearby to take pictures.
Maybe it was because it was just after dinner time, but when I looked through the wide-open door of the photo studio, I didn’t see a single customer.
There was no sign of the photographer either.
Shu Miao walked in with Zili in confidence.
Looking at the large color photos on the wall, Zili's eyes were wide open.
He grabbed Shu Miao's arm and was so excited, "They're all color photos! This is much more advanced than the photo studio in the county!"
"There just aren't many people coming. Could it be that the fees are too..." expensive?
Before he could finish his words, Shu Miao stopped him with a look.
It's a state-owned photo studio, and they still dare to speak out without fear of being kicked out.
Today's service staff don't have the concept that customers are God.
It is better to have less trouble than more. There is no need to get yourself into trouble just for the sake of momentary satisfaction.
Not to mention, he's still being rude and doesn't even use his brain. I'm really impressed...
Zili closed his mouth, touched his nose and smiled awkwardly.
Shu Miao took a quick look at the furnishings in the room and decisively lifted the curtain of the inner room.
A dazzling light flashed, accompanied by a dull shutter sound.
"Crack~"
The raised curtain was quickly lowered, and she blinked uncomfortably.
Although she had taken photos several times, she was still not used to such strong and glaring light.
Unexpectedly, Zili did not have this problem. The moment Shu Miao made way, he quickly came forward.
Shu Miao was just about to pull the man out and remind him that such strong light is bad for the eyes.
Then I thought again that I had just decided not to treat Zili as a child, but it had only been a short time and I had forgotten it.
After a moment of annoyance, he immediately gave up the idea.
Sit directly at the counter and look through the glass counter at the various artistic photos inside.
Before I could even sit down, I heard Zili chatting with someone. When I turned around, I found that he had disappeared.
Although I kept reminding myself not to interfere too much, I couldn't help but go forward out of curiosity.
At worst, she can just watch and say nothing.
Who knew that when the curtain was lifted, a flash of white suddenly appeared before my eyes.
When they looked up, both sides were surprised.
"It's you!"
"It's you!"
The two people's simultaneous voice instantly attracted Zili's attention. He was about to change his clothes, but immediately stopped.
The photographer was not affected by the will of the few people at all, and reminded the young man to change his clothes quickly to avoid being surrounded by more people later.
Shu Miao withdrew his surprised look and immediately waved to Zi Li to indicate that he didn't need to worry about him.
Then she gestured to the man to go outside and talk, and the two of them came to the counter and sat down, one after the other.
Shu Miao looked him up and down in surprise. The well-fitting white police uniform made his already tall figure even taller.
She didn't know if it was her illusion, but she always felt that this person seemed to have become a lot whiter than last year.
She was grumbling in her heart, but it did not affect her taking the initiative to say hello.
"I didn't expect we'd meet again. What a coincidence, Lu Gongan?"
"Yeah." He pursed his lips and smiled slightly, glanced at the girl's beautiful face which had lost some of its baby fat, and quickly lowered his eyes.
Then he changed the subject and mentioned the station in a vague way.
