Chapter 77 I Can't Bear It

"Ugh~" the black pig howled at the top of its lungs.

"Clang" the food bowl fell.

Even though Shu Miao thought she was already used to hearing pigs squealing, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief when the pig howling that had been lingering in her ears finally stopped.

Before she could finish her breath, she vaguely heard some movement outside the yard and frowned subconsciously.

He walked lightly and quietly approached the slightly open gate.

I took a closer look through the crack in the door and was slightly startled.

"Chen Xiaoxiao?"

The girl was frightened by the sudden shout.

He immediately turned his head and saw that it was Shu Miao. The fear on his face eased a little.

He patted his chest and calmed down for a long time before making a gesture to her to keep quiet, but his eyes kept drifting towards the house.

Although Shu Miao was a little surprised at her reaction, he still shut his mouth and slipped out of the yard with light steps.

He turned around and quietly closed the gate, then he looked at her round face which was flushed with nervousness, and was very curious.

"Why don't you go in?"

Chen Xiaoxiao bit her lower lip with a troubled look on her face. She looked at her several times in a row, but in the end, as if she was hesitant about something, she didn't say anything and just vaguely changed the subject.

"Where is Shu Zili? Please help me call him out. I have something to talk to him about." Her soft voice was filled with fear and anxiety.

Although Shu Miao's curiosity was aroused, she didn't dare to ask too much since the other party specifically asked for Zili.

Anyway, I can ask Zili later and find out the whole story.

"Then wait a moment." She turned around and went back to the kitchen and told him about Chen Xiaoxiao looking for him.

By the way, I mentioned that the other person's expression was not right, and asked him to help according to the situation. If he couldn't solve it, he must find an adult and not get himself involved.

This advice made Zili very unhappy, and he replied sourly,

"Do I look like a brainless person? You don't trust me that much?"

"No, I'm worried that you're so eager to help that you'll just forget about anything else." Shu Miao was speechless when she saw that he could even get angry with her about this.

He simply pushed the person out and said, "Okay, I won't say anything more, okay? Hurry up, don't keep people waiting!"

Zili, who thought he had turned the game around, instantly became proud, straightened his back, and walked out of the house with a heroic and confident look.

Who knew that just as he stepped over the threshold, he was pulled out by Chen Xiaoxiao.

"Hey, Chen Xiaoxiao, is this how you ask for help?"

"Why don't you tell me what you're going to do first! Hey..."

Just Zili's loud voice alarmed the adults in the room.

Qin Cuifang didn't think it was a big deal. She shook her head helplessly and laughed, "These two kids bicker the most every day, but they also have the best relationship."

"My own child knows it himself. It must be that brat who doesn't control his mouth. He says nonsense all day long and often quarrels with his sister at home. I will talk to him later!" Li Qiao was really embarrassed.

After all, with his son's bad temper, who wouldn't have a headache after spending a long time with him?

"It's okay. What kid doesn't quarrel? Isn't this just a good time to play?"

Listening to the two adults' happy conversation, Shu Miao finally felt relieved.

But the heart that had just been put at ease was lifted up again when he saw Chen Yongfu.

Because the other party made the same silencing gesture to him as Chen Xiaoxiao had just made, Shu Miao was so frightened that his breath rose to his throat.

Seeing him sneaking out, obviously intending to follow Zili and the others, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch.

I thought, this family is really capable, and they are really good at playing Infernal Affairs...

She was just stuck here, not knowing whether she should tell her aunt about it.

After hesitating for a moment, she still felt that she needed to inform the aunt about this situation privately.

After all, it was only the first day for the Shu family to arrive. What if they were really involved in something big?

Chen Xiaoxiao is an aboriginal and the captain's niece. Her situation is completely different from their family's.

After figuring it out, I immediately called the aunt out by asking how to arrange the kitchen.

He quickly told everyone about the strange behavior of Chen Xiaoxiao, Zili, and Chen Yongfu.

Li Qiaoben didn't think there was anything wrong, but after hearing Shu Miao's analysis and thinking that Chen Yongfu had indeed slipped away quietly, he suddenly felt that something was not right.

I was about to tell my sisters about this immediately, but at this moment I heard Qin Cuifang's cry.

"The child's father? Where is he? Chen Yongfu? Where did he go?!"

As the "Hedong Lion Roar" that gradually lost control suddenly echoed throughout the courtyard, Li Qiao glanced at the confused Shu Miao and smiled awkwardly.

"You'll get used to it." After saying that, he ran off to comfort his sisters.

Shu Miao was left alone, thinking, should I practice my voice?

Even if I can't become as strong as Aunt Qin, I still have to have enough strength to match my own, right?

"Oh, we've come so far. Even if your parents have clairvoyance and super hearing, they still can't hear what we're saying. Just hurry up and tell us!"

Zili weakly threatened, "If you don't tell me, I won't go with you. I haven't even cooked dinner yet!"

God knows that as soon as he tried to resist, Chen Xiaoxiao would look at him with tears in her eyes, and he would not be able to refuse at all!

I can only keep muttering to myself, hoping to ease some of the anxiety in my heart.

He was still thinking that if she could help him explain to his mother afterwards and save him from being scolded, then he would reluctantly forgive her for acting on her own initiative this time!

It wasn't until Chen Xiaoxiao pulled him into the thatched hut beside the orchard and he saw the tiny baby in the straw pile that he was dumbfounded.
