"Yayoi-kun, you're truly amazing, to know even this! We at the police force are very grateful for your help." The fat, hat-wearing police officer's eyes shone with excitement. Although he had lost one high school detective, he had gained a new one. He excitedly shook Kazuki Yayoi's hand, his gratitude overflowing.

A Porsche was parked not far from the crime scene. Two men in black inside saw this through the car window. The one in the front seat, with a cigarette dangling from his lips, sneered, "Look at that. The police treat him like a savior. Ha, it was obviously him who committed all those cases."

"I'm just the one who disposes of the bodies," Kazuki Yayoi replied in confusion while fastening his seatbelt. They were the ones killing people, what did it have to do with him?

The long-haired man chuckled. "'Just'. You really love to pretend, don't you? Forget it, I can't be bothered with you."

Kazuki Yayoi tilted his head to look at his dark-skinned, blond colleague beside him. So, are they going to kill someone today or not? He hadn't had dinner yet. Although the soul from the previous case was pretty good, the person who wielded the knife for the organization—oh no, the food they made—smelled even better.

The blond man smiled good-naturedly and handed over his phone. "A small gang, twenty people. We'll be counting on you."

Hearing this, Kazuki Yayoi's eyes lit up. This was truly a big bowl of rice! But he still pretended to be calm, replying with a deadpan expression, "It's no trouble at all!" Yet he couldn't hide the rising intonation in his voice.
