After eating the egg cake, the two children fell asleep without anyone coaxing them. They closed their eyes and held the candies given by Tian Tian in their mouths.
The two children lay there, laughing and stopping. Lin Meiyu then set up a table in her room again and brought the hot food in the pot to the table. This meal was originally reserved for their own family to eat in the evening, but now that Lin Meishuang and the others were here, they couldn't let them go hungry until the evening. "Then you have to help me cover it tightly!" Tian Tian could hardly open her eyes. After hearing what Gu Zhao said, she readily accepted his suggestion. She leaned on the pile of quilts behind Gu Zhao, closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep.
After all, there were so many people at home, and Tian Tian couldn't sleep well. She could even hear the sound of them smacking their lips while eating in a daze.
When she heard the sound of dishes being cleared away, Tian Tian opened her eyes suddenly and woke up without Gu Zhao calling her.
She sat up straight with a business smile on her face, and she felt relieved when she saw that they had just started to clean up the dishes.
Gu Zhao was startled by Tian Tian's sudden sitting up, and then he explained to Tian Tian in a low voice, "You didn't sleep for long at all. I was sitting here for less than five minutes. They were busy eating and had no time to chat with us. They didn't even notice that you fell asleep!"
Tian Tian felt like she had slept for half an hour, but she didn't expect that she had only slept for five minutes.
