Chapter 105: Vision Pickled Pepper Crucian Carp
An idea flashed through Yu Zhile's mind and his eyes lit up.
When she actually walked out, the more she thought about it, the more impossible it seemed, and her eyes gradually dimmed.
"Qiqi." Sheng Lanyue greeted her.
Yu Zhile curled his lips and asked, "Didn't you go to Beijing to participate in the exchange activities?"
"What's wrong? What happened?" Sheng Lanyue frowned slightly, looking worried.
Wen Wanbai's new script had been polished, and he hoped that he would participate in rehearsals as soon as possible, so he returned to the provincial capital two days earlier than planned to handle the formalities.
He learned from Yu Peilan that every Wednesday Yu Zhile would go to the state-owned restaurant to teach Hu Laosan how to cook, so he came to find her, but he had not heard of any major events in the Yu family.
Yu Zhile's mouth drooped as he told him about Zhou Yuesheng.
"It's okay." Sheng Lanyue comforted softly, "I will be transferred to Beijing in a few days. I will ask for information for you."
"Okay." Yu Zhile nodded.
Afterwards, Sheng Lanyue told her a lot of interesting things that happened during the exchange activities, trying her best to cheer her up.
"Ah, my fish is almost done." Yu Zhile suddenly remembered cooking. "I'll go in first, and we'll eat together later."
"Well, go ahead." Sheng Lanyue smiled gently.
Before leaving, Yu Zhile looked around the store and didn't see Chen Zhao, which made him feel strange.
Entering the kitchen, she accepted the teasing looks from Master Hu and his two disciples, and forgot about the matter.
"It's a good thing to have more candidates." Hu Laosan laughed, "I'll bring a carload of people for Xiaoshuang to choose from."
Yu Zhile couldn't help but smile bitterly and quickly turned his attention back to the crucian carp.
Remove ginger and scallions from the marinated crucian carp, add half a bowl of water starch, and coat the fish evenly with the starch liquid.
Yu Zhile poured a lot of oil into the pan and heated it until the surface of the oil was slightly flipping. He added the crucian carp and fried it until the surface turned slightly yellow, then removed it from the pan and drained the oil.
Next, she scooped out the oil from frying the fish, leaving only about a spoonful of it, and then added some vegetable oil. When the oil was hot, she poured in the prepared seasoning.
The unique flavors of various brews blend and diffuse, giving off an enticing sour smell that makes everyone salivate unconsciously.
During the stir-frying, the original color of the ingredients gradually disappears, replaced by a light yellow color.
"When the surface of the pepper is slightly charred, add the bean paste." Yu Zhile kept stir-frying with his hands.
After a while, she added two spoonfuls of water into the pot, covered it and simmered it.
"This little flavor is definitely appetizing and goes well with rice." Hu Laosan smacked his lips and exclaimed, then couldn't help but take a deep breath.
After four or five minutes, Yu Zhile opened the lid and the soup was boiling like a rushing river.
"Soy sauce for seasoning, sugar for flavor." She said as she added the seasonings, "Then add the crucian carp and bring to a boil, then switch to medium-low heat and simmer for another ten minutes."
After the fish was put into the pot, the soup began to boil after a while. Yu Zhile calculated the time and added fish bladder and fish balls to cook together.
Under medium-low heat, the soup gradually softens the fried fish skin, giving the crucian carp the spicy flavor of pickled peppers.
Finally, Yu Zhile transferred the fish into a clay pot, poured in the soup, sprinkled a layer of dried chilies on the surface, and then poured on half a spoonful of hot oil.
The sizzling sound faded away, the fragrance in the air became stronger, and a dish of pickled pepper crucian carp with good color, aroma and taste came out of the pot.
Hu Laosan couldn't wait to taste it and immediately gave a thumbs up and praised it.
The fried fish skin is soaked in soup, the fish meat is tender and not fishy, and it is paired with a handful of crispy pickled radish shreds. The taste and flavor reach their peak at the same time.
After swallowing, a slight numbness remains in the mouth and tongue, making people want to eat one bite after another.
"Another glass of cold beer will make it more refreshing." Hu Laosan shook his head repeatedly while eating.
It was only half past nine, and Jiang Rong and Sheng Lanyue were the only ones in the store. Hu Lan could not resist the aroma.
She took a pair of chopsticks from the chopstick holder, poked her head in through the window, and said, "Brother San, bring it here so I can have a taste."
Hu Laosan simply asked Yu Zhile to take the pot away and asked Yu Mengjun to make a large pot of rice.
He and Zhang Hailan each occupied a stove and cooked a small dish, which they regarded as the staff meal in advance.
"Lao Jiang, come here and have something to eat." Hu Lao San called out.
Jiang Rong seemed not to have heard his voice. She remained motionless with a hazy look in her eyes.
Hu Laosan pulled him directly to the table, forced him to sit down, and stuffed a set of bowls and chopsticks into his hands.
Everyone sat down, but Chen Zhao was still nowhere to be seen.
"Sister Lan, have you seen Xiao Zhao?" Yu Zhile asked.
Hu Lan replied: "When you entered the kitchen, he went out and said he was going to the post office and would be back soon."
As soon as she finished speaking, Chen Zhao's voice rang out, accompanied by a series of ping-pong sounds.
"I'm back!" He was holding a few cans of soda in his hands, and said cheerfully, "I got admitted to the canning factory. Let me treat everyone to some soda."
When he saw the pickled crucian carp in the middle of the table, his eyes lit up. He hurriedly put down his soda, ran into the kitchen to wash his hands, and hurried out again.
"Okay, let's eat." Hu Laosan said in a deep voice.
Everyone picked up their chopsticks and started eating.
Chen Zhao knocked the bottle cap off the corner of the table, stuffed it to Yu Zhile, and whispered, "Huang Shan didn't pass the exam, which is double happiness."
"Then eat more." Yu Zhile smiled and picked up a piece of crucian carp for him.
The long spines of the crucian carp had already been cut off and it had been fried in oil, so it was not that difficult to eat.
Chen Zhao took a big bite and his face turned red instantly. He took a few sips of soda to suppress the spicy taste.
"It's spicy, but delicious." He said and stuffed another chopstick of fish into his mouth. This time it was so spicy that he ate half a bowl of rice.
The way he loved eating made everyone laugh.
Jiang Rong also smiled more. He wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes and ate with big mouthfuls.
Everyone enjoyed the meal, including pickled pepper crucian carp, ice soda, and stir-fried pork with hot peppers and cucumber.
After the meal, Yu Zhile discussed with Hu Laosan the supply of pickled peppers and other ingredients, and verbally described the recipes of several pickled pepper-flavored dishes.
Yu Chuyue wrote an agreement, both parties signed and sealed it, and Hu Laosan paid a deposit.
Starting next week, Haiyu Village will supply five large jars of pickled peppers, pickled radishes and other pickled products to state-owned restaurants every Monday.
Afterwards, Hu Laosan went into the kitchen and started making pickled pepper crucian carp for the guests to taste for free, so that he could make improvements based on the tastes of most people.
"You are the same as when you were in school." Sheng Lanyue said with a smile.
He sat on the side waiting, watching Yu Zhile seriously discussing the price with Hu Laosan and checking the agreement.
"Yeah, it's still the same as before. I don't have time to care about you." Yu Zhile responded, "I still have to go talk to a teacher about my side job."
Sheng Lanyue smiled even more: "It doesn't matter, are you going to spend your birthday in the provincial capital this year? I'll take you to the movies."
"Maybe. I'll call you then." Yu Zhile thought about it and did not give a definite answer.
She had celebrated her birthday in the provincial capital in the past, and she was not sure whether Yu Peilan and his wife would have a holiday this year.
"Wait for your news." After saying that, Sheng Lanyue said goodbye and left.
Yu Zhile looked at Yu Chuyue and said, "Chuyue, you take a rest first. I'm going to go to Chen's house."
"Okay, I'll wait for you to come back." Yu Chuyue replied.
"I'm going too. I'm going too." Chen Zhao raised his hand actively. "I'm going to Old Chen's house too."
The two of them went out and followed the address that Mr. Chen had given them. They came to a small courtyard and knocked on the door.
"Coming." Old Chen's voice was vague.
As soon as he opened the door, Yu Zhile found that he was holding a pen in one hand and a white steamed bun in the other.
"Huh? Xiao Yu, Xiao Zhao." Old Chen was quite surprised and hurriedly let the two in.
After entering the hospital, he looked nervous: "Are you here for kelp farming? Is there good news?"
"Good news, I have brought the deposit for the kelp seedlings." Yu Zhile said with a smile.
Mr. Chen was stunned for a few seconds, then laughed: "That's good, that's good."
"Thanks to you for visiting the surrounding villages." Yu Zhile repeated his second aunt's words to him.
When talking about this, Chen pushed his notebook in front of Yu Zhile and said, "I've visited nearby villages and found that the sea conditions in different villages are slightly different. There are some seafood that are more suitable for aquaculture and there will be no conflict with Haiyu Village."
There is a simple topographic map in the notebook with the names of the villages marked on it, and densely packed notes next to each village name.
Yu Zhile's eyes quickly swept across the paper and caught a few key words.
The breeding industry in the surrounding villages is well developed, which is a good thing for Haiyu Village to establish a non-staple food processing plant.
"So what do you think now?" Yu Zhile asked.
Mr. Chen replied: "I am going to write a plan for common prosperity and let the commune take the lead in setting up an expert group to help everyone develop the breeding industry."
As he spoke, he handed over a thin, hand-bound notebook.
Yu Zhile took a closer look and found that it was an improved version of the plan Zhou Yuesheng had written before.
"I modified some of the content and added some details, which will be more suitable for the long-term development of Haiyu Village." said Mr. Chen.
After reading it, Yu Zhile realized that the "some" he mentioned was the construction of marine ranches directly based on the original plan. The more he read it, the more surprised he was.
This step is really too big for Haiyu Village at present.
"You don't have to worry about professional issues. The expert group of Haiyu Village is independent of the commune, and we will proceed step by step." Elder Chen understood her concerns. "Brother Zhou looked at my plan and helped me contact several colleagues. If you agree, we can start immediately."
"Zhou Yuesheng?" Yu Zhile asked back.
Old Chen gave an affirmative reply and continued, "In a few days, there should be a few people transferred to the cowshed in Haiyu Village. I will come to find you again."
Yu Zhile was silent for a long time, then said, "Okay, let's proceed as planned."
Afterwards, Mr. Chen revised her original staffing plan and gave her some additional details.
"Are you done talking?" Chen Zhao pushed the door open and walked in, holding an aluminum lunch box in his hand.
Seeing this, the two were stunned for a long time. They were so engrossed in the conversation that they didn't even notice that he had left the room.
"We're done talking." Yu Zhile took out the deposit for kelp seedlings.
Chen Zhao handed the lunch box to Old Chen and said, "This is Brother Hu's lunch box. He doesn't need it urgently. Return it when you have time."
"Thank you, thank you." Old Chen looked at the two people in front of him with a moved expression.
Yu Zhile and the other person didn't stay for too long and said goodbye and left.
On the way, they ran into Zhang Cuihua and an old man, both of whom were very angry.
"I'm so pissed! How dare she quit her job!"
