But none of the Imperial Guards behind him moved.
Everyone looked at Zhao Muyun, at this legendary war god.
He was so young, yet he had already annihilated an army of 200,000, besieged the city, and marched straight into the palace.
“Commander Zhang,” Zhao Muyun looked at him, “I received your letter. Today you captured His Majesty on the city wall and executed the two traitors, Feng Liang and Cui Mian. Your merits are considerable.”
"Put down your weapons now, and I will protect your life and your official position."
Zhang Han's hand holding the sword trembled.
He looked at Zhao Muyun, then at Li Jingang.
On one side is a new ruler at the height of his power, and on the other is an old ruler at the end of his rope.
“Zhang Han,” Li Jingang suddenly laughed, “put down your sword. He’s right, it’s over.”
"His Majesty……"
