When Luo Jingqu left the church, he almost ran.

The sunlight spread all over the ground, making people feel warm on the body. He ran only a few steps but found that he was already sweating.

Or maybe it wasn't because of the heat, but because he was just too nervous.

He quickly arrived at the back garden of the church and stood there, panting as he looked at the lush trees and beautiful flowers.

The garden was very quiet, without a sound, and it seemed as if there was no one there at all.

While wondering if Liang Yushi and Shen Yixi were lying to him, he tried to take a few more steps deeper into the garden. He just turned a corner and stopped.

I saw a girl sitting on a small stone bench in the garden.

The girl had long black hair and a delicate face. She was wearing a floral dress and sitting quietly on a stone bench with a book on her knees.

Luo Jingqu stood there motionless, looking at this priceless treasure greedily and carefully.

The girl read for a while and raised her head inadvertently.

When her light brown eyes looked at him, his Adam's apple rolled up and down.

His eyes were a little red for a moment, he staggered forward a few steps, then seemed to lose his balance and almost fell to the ground.

"Qingqing." He half-knelt on the ground, gently grasped her hand, and called her name in a hoarse voice.

Xing Chenyu looked at him for a few seconds, then smiled.

Luo Jingqu almost stopped breathing.

City D, Cathedral.

The wedding scene of the country's new leader Liang Yushi and her husband Shen Yixi, the Queen's Hand.

When Xing Chenyu followed Luo Jingqu back to the church, Liang Yushi was preparing to throw the bouquet amid everyone's cheers.

Luo Jingqu held her hand tightly all the way. He clasped her hand so tightly that it hurt her a little. She couldn't help it, so she poked his shoulder with her finger amid the noise: "Luo Jingqu, be gentle, it hurts."

Luo Jingqu was completely immersed in the shock of regaining what he had lost, and his brain was working much slower than usual. It took him two seconds to realize what she meant, and he loosened his hand a little.

But it's just a little bit.

She blinked. "It still hurts."

Luo Jingqu turned his head and glanced at her. He couldn't help but said to her in his usual nonchalant and playful tone, "Then you can continue to suffer the pain. I feel quite comfortable anyway."

She opened her mouth to say something, but he had already turned his head back.

Why is this man still so petty?

as always.

She thought to herself.

He led her back to the front of the group.

Liang Yushi had been holding the bouquet for a while but hadn't thrown it away yet. Many single women were eagerly waiting for the flowers, and Xing Chenyu noticed that it wasn't until she came in that Liang Yushi calmly said to everyone, "Okay, I'm really going to throw it away now."

She had a bad feeling.

Just as she was about to take a step back, Luo Jingqu's hand grabbed her like an iron clamp. She could neither move forward nor retreat, and could only watch the bouquet in Liang Yushi's hand fall towards her.

Yes, the respected Queen didn't even blink, smiled like a big trumpet flower, and threw the flower directly at her face.

Xing Chenyu had no choice but to use the hand that was not held by Luo Jingqu to receive the bouquet.

Amidst the envious exclamations of the crowd, she awkwardly grasped the beautiful bouquet in her hand in public.

Originally, when she came in with Luo Jingqu, many people had already noticed her. Now, it was as if a searchlight was shining on her, and everyone was staring at her. She also heard many people discussing who she was and what her relationship with Luo Jingqu was.

She looked up and saw Liang Yushi, smiling like a triumphant little fox, leaning on Shen Yixi's shoulder. Standing on the stage, she said elegantly and calmly, "Congratulations, Yingying, you've received my bouquet. You're definitely full of luck. I wish you a speedy family life and a son."

After saying that, Liang Yushi winked at Luo Jingqu beside her.

Although Luo Jingqu didn't say anything, there was a faint smile on his cheek.

She reasonably suspected that the two of them had definitely colluded in advance.

That's right, even she was found by Liang Yushi with the help of Luo Jingqu, so it was reasonable to let her receive the bouquet after giving him an assist.

When she thought of this, she couldn't help but look up at the tall and handsome Shen Yixi in front of her, and silently sweated for the Queen's hand.

Liang Yushi looks like a very kind person, but in fact she is very sinister and full of evil intentions.

No wonder he could play together with Luo Jingqu and form an alliance with him.

After receiving the bouquet, he made a high-profile appearance in front of everyone. The headline of tomorrow's gossip magazine, "The eldest son of the Luo family chaebol appears at Queen Liang's wedding with a mysterious woman," had already been locked in advance. However, the eldest son's face became increasingly ugly. He said hello to Liang Yushi and took Xing Chenyu away directly from the scene, skipping the subsequent wedding dinner.

After watching them leave the church, Shen Yixi leaned over to Liang Yushi's ear and whispered, "I never thought that the person who had caused Luo Jingqu so much trouble for so many years was actually such a delicate and fragile girl."

Liang Yushi glanced at him sideways and said, "You really don't understand women. The more inoffensive and delicate a girl seems, the more likely she is to do earth-shattering and cruel things. She also has a hard heart."

Shen Yixi shook his head: "I don't need to understand other women, it's good enough that I can understand you."

Liang Yushi smiled and raised her hand to pat his chin.

-

Xing Chenyu followed Luo Jingqu into the car without asking anything.

As soon as he walked out of the cathedral, his face immediately became terrifying, as if a storm was about to come. In contrast to the leisurely look he had just shown when he was swaggering around in the church, he seemed like two completely different people.

This was clearly an attempt to settle a severe score with her.

She sighed very softly.

In fact, the moment she agreed to let Liang Yushi come back, she had already prepared herself mentally for any possible reaction from him.

After Luo Jingqu drove out for a while, he turned his head to look at her and curled his lips: "Are you happy staying in the deep mountains and old forests?"

Before she could say anything, he added, "It's very pleasant with birds singing and flowers blooming, isn't it?"

The entire car was now filled with the resentment and anger he was trying so hard to suppress beneath his words. She shrank back against the seat and said, "It's... okay."

"Is it just okay?"

The earrings on his ears reflected a faint arc in the light of the traffic. "I thought you had found a few Tarzans there to keep you entertained."

She was silent for two seconds: "Luo Jingqu, don't say that."

"Then how should I say it? You teach me."

At this moment, he suddenly turned the steering wheel hard and stopped the car slamming to the side of the road.

"You know, I searched all over Country A."

He slammed on the brakes, his expression completely cold. "I've been everywhere you might be, using every connection I could to help me find you. To say I've dug deep into the ground is an understatement. In the past two years, I haven't had a single truly happy day. I hate the night because I don't want to face the long, helpless night alone, nor do I want to experience the emptiness of being forced to stop looking for you in the dead of night."

"I don't like it during the day either, but I can use the daytime to look for you, which at least gives me more self-comfort."

He gently rubbed his forehead with his hand, and his voice gradually became lower.

She looked at him, biting her lips tightly, her heart in a knot.

This is a very proud man. She always feels that there is nothing in this world that he cannot do. His intelligence, calmness and elegance are all innate. He is a true child of destiny.

But at this moment, all his weaknesses were instantly exposed in front of her.

And she was the instigator.

"Two years."

He raised a hand and gently tapped the steering wheel, looking ahead jokingly. "At first, you were gone for a week at a time, sometimes longer, like a month. But those times, you at least told me where you were going... But this time, you disappeared without a trace for two whole years."

"...I didn't expect to stay there for two years," she finally said. "At first I just..."

He sneered and raised his hand to interrupt her: "If Liang Yushi hadn't found you, you would have stayed there forever."

She moved her lips.

"Why, did I say something wrong?"

Luo Jingqu said word by word, "Don't tell me there's no way to contact the outside world. As long as you want, you will always find a way. Even if it's just a message or a phone call, it will be better than letting me look for you like a fool for two whole years."

"You went to great lengths to hide yourself in a remote mountain forest in a foreign country whose name you couldn't even understand, just to avoid me."

"You clearly had a hundred chances and a hundred ways to contact me, but you didn't want to, because you didn't want me to find you, even though you knew how frantically I would try to find you."

In the darkness of the night, she felt her eye sockets and nose tip slowly becoming sore and swollen.

She really wanted to say something.

Whether it is rebuttal or defense.

But she couldn't say anything, because not a single word he said was wrong.

She saw that a thin layer of mist appeared in his deep and beautiful eyes.

"Xing Chenyi."

He turned his face slightly, raised his hand, gently pinched her chin, and forced her to look into his eyes.

She had no way to avoid it, and even her eyelashes were trembling slightly.

"In the past two years, I have asked myself countless times, if I could find you, what would I most want to say to you?"

He lowered his eyes and said, "You are the most cruel person I have ever met in this world. I originally wanted to tell you that if you like to disappear so much, then go and have fun on your own. I'm sorry, I won't accompany you. Go wherever you want, and it's best if you don't come back for the rest of your life."

"I've also really wanted to know. Have you ever thought of me in the past two years, even for just a minute? Have you ever thought that there's a person named Luo Jingqu in this world who's been looking for you?"

"I also wanted to tell you that if you want me to hate you, then congratulations on doing it. For a lot of time in the past two years, I hated your heartlessness to the core."

"But I found that I don't want to say these words anymore."

He looked at her, his thin lips moving gently.

"I just want to tell you something that you might not want to hear."

A faint smile appeared on his handsome face at this moment: "Sorry to disappoint you, but I still can't hate you."

"Xing Chenyu, I still love you, just as I did before, just as I always have, without any less."

She looked at him motionlessly, and tears suddenly fell like rain.
