Chapter 1 First Arrival in Luofu
01
"Be careful on the road, and let me know when you arrive safely."
"Understood, Father."
The starship moored behind them emitted a brief whistle, urging the travelers who had not yet set off.
As we parted, all the words of advice I had to give were summed up in one sentence: "Be careful."
You waved to Huaiyan, then turned and merged into the crowd, officially embarking on an unknown journey.

On the starship, you gaze at the scenery outside the window. The starship passes through familiar streets and alleys, and then sails into the boundless Milky Way.
At this moment, you have no idea what fate this journey will lead you to; you are only immersed in the excitement of the unknown.
In pursuit of the ultimate swordsmanship, you bid farewell to your hometown of Zhu Ming and, at a young age, traveled alone to Luofu to seek a master and learn the art.
You've admired Jian Shou Jing Liu of Luofu since childhood, and longed to learn from her. This opportunity to study in Luofu was only obtained after you and Huai Yan had pleaded with you for months.
As you gaze out the window, lost in thought, the jade tablet in your arms suddenly rings out: "Have you boarded the star raft yet?"
It was a message from Yingxing.
They've already set off and are estimated to arrive in three days.
As you reply to his message, the day you first met him inevitably comes to mind.
It was a quiet afternoon. You had just woken up from your sleep, and with messy hair and bare feet, you walked out in a daze. As soon as you stepped out the door, a pair of large hands pulled you into an embrace.
"Father?!" You widened your eyes instantly, looking at the man laughing heartily in front of you in disbelief.
"My darling daughter, have you missed Daddy?" The man rubbed his stubble against your face, and you laughed as you dodged his affection, snuggling into his arms.
After he'd made a scene, he finally put you down and turned to show you his newly accepted apprentice.
"This is my new apprentice, his name is Yingxing, and he will be your older brother from now on." Huaiyan happily pushed Yingxing in front of you and introduced him to you.
Hearing this, you looked up at the little guy in front of you. He was only half a head taller than you, looking at you timidly, clutching the hem of his clothes with both hands, and carefully uttered two words—"Hello." After saying that, he quickly hid behind Huaiyan, shrinking back like a kitten.
Huaiyan smiled and smoothed things over, then went on to talk about the arrangements.
In short, under Huaiyan's arrangement, Yingxing became his apprentice, and you inexplicably gained an older brother from a different father.
Although they were complete strangers, they were still children, and their similar ages made them quickly become acquainted. Yingxing was no longer as timid as she had been at their first meeting.
In just a few years, Yingxing quickly displayed amazing talent under Huaiyan's tutelage, and was praised by Huaiyan as a once-in-a-century genius.
In order to go further, he took the initiative to apply to study in Luofu. Since then, he has left Zhu Ming, and you have not seen each other for three years.
I wonder how he's doing these days?
You're thinking about it in your heart.
You already know about Yingxing's past from Huaiyan; his unhappy childhood shaped his timid personality. Knowing everything, you feel even more sorry for him and try to influence him with love. With your and Huaiyan's joint efforts, Yingxing gradually opens his heart to you both.
Be careful on the road. Let me know when you arrive and I'll come pick you up.

Closing the jade tablet, gazing into the distance, you yearn for an ideal future...

Three days later, you landed safely on the Luofu Starship Sea. Carrying your bags, you walked out of the dock with the crowd and looked around.
You hear someone calling your name. Looking in the direction of the sound, you see a tall man in black standing across the street waving at you.
It is Yingxing!
He weaves through the crowd and walks briskly toward you.
Several years had passed, and he had grown into a young man. His long, dark blue hair was casually tied up, secured with only a hairpin. Gone was the childishness and timidity of his youth; the man before me exuded confidence and charisma.
"You're Ying Xing?" You could hardly believe your eyes.
"You don't recognize me after all these years? You have no conscience." He lightly tapped your head, then took your luggage and invited you to walk with him.
"Little girl, it's time to go home."
You followed behind him in a daze, seemingly not yet used to his drastic change.
Damn it, how can short-lived species grow so fast?
A few years ago, you were only half a head taller than him; now you're not even as tall as his thigh.
However, the frustration caused by the height difference quickly vanished, and your attention was soon drawn to the colorful and unique features of Luofu, making you unable to take your eyes off the beautiful scenery.
This place looks more lively than your hometown.
Looks like you've come to the right place.

Under Yingxing's arrangement, you became his neighbor, and he became your guardian in Luofu.
As soon as you settled in, you insisted that Yingxing show you around Luofu. Yingxing wasn't annoyed and specially set aside a whole day to follow you around, acting as your tour guide and wallet.
He was called a tour guide, but he only played a symbolic role. Although he had been in Luofu for several years, he spent most of his time buried in his research lab and rarely went out. Thanks to you, he finally had the time to appreciate every plant and tree in Luofu.
Upon your arrival, your unfamiliar attire quickly attracted the attention of passersby. Your enthusiasm, cheerful personality, and silver tongue soon won over the locals.
Within just a few days, rumors spread throughout the streets and alleys that a lovely girl from out of town had arrived in Luofu.
Meanwhile, you, the person involved, are sitting in Changle Tian Plaza, eating snacks and listening to storytelling. You couldn't be happier.
When things are peaceful and quiet, something unexpected always happens, and this time was no exception.
The once harmonious and beautiful market was soon thrown into chaos. You followed the sound and saw several young men sprout ginkgo leaves on the spot. In just a few seconds, they fell into demonic possession and launched attacks indiscriminately, regardless of friend or foe.
"Quickly summon the Cloud Cavalry!" someone shouted from the crowd.
Fearing for the safety of the people around you, you immediately drew your sword and rushed into the crowd to fend off the clutches reaching for the little girl.
"Get back at once!" you shout to the crowd, then engage the monster in combat with your sword.
You shifted your stance, catching the monster off guard, and swiftly subdued the slow-moving demon. But then, another demon suddenly attacked from behind while you were fighting. Fortunately, a flying sword struck the demon's right hand in time, stopping its attack and allowing you to escape.
You seized the opportunity to grab the flying sword and, taking advantage of its unpreparedness, stabbed it into the monster's right arm, temporarily halting its movement.
Soon, the Cloud Cavalry took your place, escorting the demons to the Ten Kings' Court.
Everything ended smoothly, and you breathed a sigh of relief before picking up the flying sword that had been shot down.
"Wait a minute, young lady—" Just as you were about to leave, a clear and melodious voice rang out behind you.
You turn around and see a white-haired boy in a Cloud Rider school uniform scratching the back of his head, looking at you with a slightly shy expression.
"That's my sword," he said again, amidst your puzzled gaze.
Upon hearing this, you picked up the flying sword and examined it, only to discover, to your dismay, that it had several cracks.
In an instant, you are caught between not repaying and not repaying.
The young boy seemed to notice your unusual behavior and quickly stepped forward. After seeing the appearance of the flying sword, he stared in shock.
"Um... I'm sorry... it seems like I broke it..."
You were just a bit too strong; who knew this sword was of such poor quality?
"Ah, it's nothing...it's nothing..." The boy said it was nothing, but he was actually heartbroken. This was a sword he had just bought not long ago.
"I'll buy you a new one!" you immediately apologize.
"It's not about money..." As soon as the boy said that, you immediately understood what he meant.
Ah, this...
"Um... if you trust me, I can fix it for you." Repairing swords isn't difficult, you studied this, and if all else fails, you have your genius brother Yingxing, it's not a big problem.
"Huh? Can it be fixed?"
“Of course, my family’s ancestral sword-making skills will guarantee to restore it to its original state.” You took off the jade pendant from your waist and handed it to him. “This is the collateral. We’ll meet here next Monday morning and exchange it then.”
You arranged everything on your own, and the boy seemed not yet to have recovered from your words.
After he finished processing this information, there was no one around him, only the jade pendant in his hand reminding him that this was not a dream.
Wait, did he forget to ask your name?
...

On this side, you brought the damaged flying sword home and then asked Yingxing to borrow his research lab.
You lied and said you had just bought a new sword, but accidentally broke it, and wanted to borrow his tools to fix it.
Yingxing, without suspicion, granted your request.
Thus, you naturally infiltrated the Bureau of Works and began your sword-making journey.
With your skill level, repairing the sword is not complicated. You began to repair it with ease, and after completing the repairs, you did not leave. Instead, you openly stayed in Yingxing's research room to watch him work.
The scattered drawings on the table embody his hard work; all sorts of ingenious ideas were born in this small room.
You often think that if Yingxing were a long-lived being, he would surely become a world-renowned master craftsman, and the position of Director of the Bureau of Works would undoubtedly belong to him.
Unfortunately, long-lived species would never hand over such an important position to short-lived species. No matter how talented they are, they will eventually be limited by their lifespan.
As you stare at Yingxing, who is intently working on her drawing, a feeling of heartache and regret wells up inside you.
"What's wrong? Why are you looking so worried at such a young age?" As if noticing your gaze, he looked up at you.
"It's nothing..." you quickly changed the subject, "I'm hungry, when are we going to eat?"
Ying Xing chuckled, seemingly charmed by your adorable, food-loving appearance: "It's still early. There are some snacks in the cupboard, have a bite to eat first."
The somber atmosphere was broken when you excitedly brought out some snacks. Despite Yingxing's initial reluctance, you managed to get him to eat the first piece by using your charm and cuteness.
I knew no one could resist your cuteness and charm, no one!
You leisurely finished the rest of your snacks, and then quietly settled into the sofa in the corner to read your newly bought Louvre Chronicle.
