A section of Cleeville on the third day of the war.
"Report! Report! This is the Gray Wolf Squad. We and other squads, totaling over 80 people, are trapped in the middle building. Requesting support, requesting support."
Urgent cries for help and sharp noises surged in the dark and bloody night. The dirty bodies of the infected kept rushing into the building, including his own comrades.
"The infected are almost here, and there's still no support from the command center? What are you doing?"
A man wearing commander's armor was shouting angrily at the communicator with an extremely angry expression, but the surface of his armor was washed very smooth by the rain, and the moonlight shining on it could even be used as a mirror.
The communicator, a construct, could only rage but not speak. "The communication device has been interfered with by the Pamish virus. We haven't been able to get through. I'm afraid it's no longer usable."
The Gray Wolf commander grabbed the communicator and saw his extremely angry eyes through the glass cover of his helmet, but also revealed a sense of fear.
"Keep communicating! I don't want to die with you losers. Damn, there are still infected bodies in the sky. I can't even fly out."
As he said this, he threw the communicator aside. The surrounding construct soldiers gritted their teeth at the scene in front of them, but facing the attack of the infected, they had to fight desperately.
The construct looked at the destroyed wall and shouted in panic, "The infected are coming. Retreat quickly."
As soon as he finished speaking, his body was already flooded with infected bodies. When the soldiers behind him saw this scene, they were so frightened that they desperately ran upstairs, looking extremely embarrassed.
But at this time, a huge construct rushed out from the fleeing crowd. It was nearly three meters tall, and it shot out chains from its hands and pierced the ceiling. It pulled the entire ceiling down with force, forming a barrier, giving the teammates behind it time to escape.
The constructs pushed each other during the retreat, their steps were chaotic and the order was extremely poor. They were all desperately trying to escape, and it was hard to tell that they were soldiers participating in the battle.
Commander Gray Wolf looked at the flying humanoid infected bodies outside the window and shouted loudly, "Seal up all the windows and seal the stairs with gel and wood. Don't let them in."
The escaped constructs, with dirty and tired faces, leaned against the wall for a short rest. Some of them mumbled something that sounded like they were begging God.
The Gray Wolf commander angrily looked at these deserters who disobeyed his orders: "You bastards, I told you to guard the first floor the whole time. Why did you retreat without my order?"
The group of constructs squatted on the ground, lowered their heads and said nothing. They had no intention of paying any attention to the human commander, and their eyes became numb.
"Hey! I'm asking you a question! What's the meaning of you all being silent? Are you dead? You..."
The Gray Wolf Commander walked over while cursing, grabbed a construct's hair with one hand and pulled it up hard, then looked at his face and yelled angrily.
"Tell me! Why are you retreating? You tools, what right do you have to disobey my orders? You are nothing but scrap metal. Obediently carrying out your mission is your fate."
Although the construct was wearing an isolation mask, his despair could be felt from his numb eyes. After receiving the insults from the commander, his pupils dilated instantly, and his whole body trembled continuously, accompanied by terrifying screams.
Gray Wolf Commander: "What the hell are you yelling about, you damn thing? Are you sick? Do you need me to throw you down here right now to feed those infected?"
After a brief mental struggle, the construct suddenly jumped up and stabbed the Gray Wolf Commander's arm with such force that it penetrated the armor directly, and blood spurted out like a flower blooming in a rainy night.
The Gray Wolf Commander didn't react to what happened for a moment, but the pain in his arm and the spurting blood woke him up. He panicked and covered his arm as he pushed himself in front of the window that had been blocked by wooden boards.
"Ahh! My arm, you bastard, what do you want to do? Are you trying to rebel? You will be court-martialed, and I will make you suffer a fate worse than death."
The construct slowly walked towards the human commander with an alloy knife in its hand, its bloodshot eyes filled with madness.
Seeing this situation, the Gray Wolf Commander realized what was going to happen next and panicked and shouted to the other constructs, "He's a traitor! Stop him! Stop him quickly!"
But the other constructs listened to the shouts of the human commander, but remained unmoved. Everyone leaned against the wall as if it had nothing to do with them, as if they were appreciating what was about to happen next, and their mechanical expressions gave off a slightly terrifying smile.
"Kill him, kill him quickly!"
"Kill this rubbish quickly. He's going to die anyway!"
"He kept hiding behind us and told us to die!"
Although no one spoke these words, the human commander saw their true intentions from their horrified eyes and gradually fell into despair.
Just when the so-called just sanctions were about to be executed, the wooden boards sealing the windows were suddenly pierced through by a huge mechanical arm.
A giant infected creature in the form of a giant spider climbed up the building and used its huge mechanical arms to tear open the wall that was already about to collapse.
The dirty and huge body slowly crawled into the floor through the hole it had torn open. This horrifying scene instantly frightened everyone present so much that they dared not move.
The infected body did not notice the human commander right under it, but instead saw the construct in front of it holding an alloy knife and preparing to impose sanctions.
