Chapter 29 Massacre

Lucia and I walked along the street. After a few steps, we saw the roof of the orphanage. There was a cross on the roof, pure white.

I saw a shop selling dresses, so I took the little girl in. The owner greeted us warmly: "There are so many beautiful girls. Which one of them wants to wear new clothes?"

Karenina stared at me at this time, but I ignored her and said, "Karenina, if you look at me a few more times, I won't buy it for you."

I explained, "Could you please pick out two nice outfits for this little girl, including underwear? Then I'll pay you a little bit and you can give her a bath."

After that, I carried the little girl to the front of the boss lady. The boss lady said happily, "You are so lucky to have a father like you. May I ask which of the three girls at the back is your mother?"

Lucia blushed and whispered, "You misunderstood."

Karenina blushed and cried, "Who would marry him and have children?"

Hearing Karenina's disgust, Liv just lowered her head shyly. Karenina, believe it or not, I will make sure you won't be able to eat at night.

The proprietress immediately realized: "It must be the child of the girl in pink!"

I quickly explained, "We're from the Sky Garden. This child was picked up from the sea and we want to send him to an orphanage. The ones behind me are my team members, all of them constructs."

After hearing this, the proprietress quickly apologized, picked out two very beautiful sets of clothes, and then took the little girl to take a bath.

During this time, I saw a girl in tattered clothes standing in front of the window, staring blankly at the clothes inside. I walked towards her, but as soon as she saw me coming, she ran away in fear.

Karenina said jokingly: "The little girl knew that the commander was a pervert, so she ran away."

I immediately pushed Karenina's head down and asked, "Do you think you won't be able to eat in the future?"

Karenina shouted quickly: "No, no, no, I was wrong."

Lucia: "The child's feet were covered in mud and he didn't even have shoes on."

Li: "It felt like he was frightened for a long time and then he ran away in an instant without even a trace."

Liv: "Is there something going on here?"

I was thinking about it when the proprietress came out with a little girl. Upon closer inspection, I found that the little girl was quite cute.

The proprietress: "Are you going to send her to the orphanage over there?"

I replied, "Yes, what kind of person is the director of the orphanage?"

The boss lady said: "The director is a very kind person. He not only takes in those homeless orphans and helps them grow up, but also gives them jobs and sends them out to work. Some of them will even stay in the orphanage to work."

Karenina: "That sounds all right."

I nodded, then said goodbye to the proprietress and walked out. The girl lowered her head to look at the clothes she was wearing, then looked at me and said, "Thank you." I lowered my head and smiled at her.

As I walked on the road, I kept looking around, trying to find the girl I had just seen, but unfortunately I couldn't find any trace of her. I arrived at the white iron gate in front of the orphanage. There were even two white pigeons on both sides of the iron gate, and the greenery inside was also very perfect.

At this time, two maids came to the door and asked, "Excuse me, what are you doing here?"

Me: "We found this little girl at the beach and are here to take her to an orphanage. We are from the Hanging Gardens."

The two maids looked at each other, then opened the door: "Come in first, the dean is in the lobby now."

But I always feel like something is wrong. The eyes of these two maids always seem a little dull.

After the maid opened the door, the director was feeding the children and some maids were taking care of them. The food was very good and the surrounding environment felt as clean as a church. It felt like a kindergarten rather than an orphanage.

But there were also some teenagers, both boys and girls, who were all eating with smiles on their faces, feeling how heartwarming it all was.

After seeing us, the dean came over and stood in front of me wearing a black monastic robe. I heard that he was in his 50s, but he looked older, probably because he had put more energy into taking care of the children.

Dean: "Excuse me, do you want to send this child to our orphanage?"

I replied, "Yes, we picked up this child from the beach."

The dean said sadly, "Poor child, his parents passed away so early. Thank you for buying such expensive clothes for this child."

I looked at the dean's sincere expression and felt that there was nothing unusual. I bowed my head to thank the dean, and the dean also bowed to me. I pushed the girl over. The girl turned around and looked at me blankly for a few seconds, and stretched out her hand to me. I had to wave goodbye to her.

After leaving the orphanage and walking for a few minutes, Lucia said, "I hope nothing will happen to that little girl."

Liv comforted him, "Dean is such a nice person, nothing will happen to him."

At this time, I found that there seemed to be a hole in the wall not far away, so I hurried over.

Li: “Is there anything?”

Me: “There’s a hole.”

Li looked at the soil carefully and said, "These traces don't look like they were made by animals. There are also human footprints and handprints in front, and this hole seems to be connected to the orphanage."

I suddenly thought of the girl in the clothing store: "It looks like someone escaped from there, a child."

Lucia: "A child escaped from an orphanage."

Karenina: "Is it the disheveled girl from earlier?"

I immediately came to my senses: "Hurry back to the orphanage, there's something wrong with the director."
