I got dressed and came out of the room. Lucia and the others were waiting outside.
Li held up his glasses and said, "So what we're going to do today is go to the casino to get some money?"
I replied, "Yes, you are okay, right?"
Li said disdainfully: "That's not a piece of cake."
Lucia smiled and said, "It seems that Mr. Li is very confident now."
Soon, we went up to the eighth floor. The entire eighth floor was a big casino and it was not difficult to find. We arrived at the casino gate. There were no guards in front of the door. It seemed that anyone could enter and exit freely. I walked to the door and it opened automatically.
It was very quiet inside. After we walked in, those people didn't look at us. They were all concentrating on watching the gambling game in front of them. There was a glass next to it, and inside was actually a competition arena. It seemed like they were there for fighting. Security guards with guns were standing around.
At this time, someone in the gambling game was waving towards us, as if they were short one. Li adjusted his glasses, turned to me and said confidently, "Commander, I'll go first."
After he finished speaking, he walked over slowly and sat down at his seat like a young master from a wealthy family.
Karenina said, "Commander, can we go and see it?"
I reminded him, "Don't you notice there are no spectators around? This is definitely not allowed."
Lucia asked, "Where are we going now?"
I glanced at the competition venue next door and said, "Let's go over there. I wonder how they play over there."
As I said that, I pushed open the glass door and walked in. There were several layers of people inside, most of them were men, and there were basically no women to be seen.
Karenina stood on tiptoe but couldn't see what was in front of her?
Liv asked, "What's inside the Commander?"
I saw two people fighting each other on the field, and the people around them were cheering them on. Then one of them pinned the other down and beat him violently on the head.
After a while, the man became silent, and the referee, who was wearing a vest, raised the hand of the victorious man and shouted, "Let us congratulate Party A on his victory, in case all the bets go to Party A and are evenly divided among those who bet on Party A."
Some people in the audience lost their temper and started cursing wildly at the person who fell unconscious to the ground.
I roughly understood the rules of the game, so I turned to Lucia and the others and said, "It's two people fighting, and everyone around can place a bet on one of them. Whoever wins the other's bet gets the money."
Lucia: “Is it that simple?”
I looked around and saw: "There's no so-called village head or anything like that. It seems like all the people here are ordinary residents. It seems like the rich people have gone to the next table to play."
Karenina said excitedly: "Then let's go place a bet too!"
I replied, "The little money left is for the party. Where would I get the money to bet?"
Karenina had no choice but to lower her head in regret.
At this time, through the light from behind, I found that there were several tall people standing behind us, and I immediately turned my head to look behind us.
There were a few men with scruffy beards who put their faces close to Liv, sniffed her madly, and were about to grab Liv with their hands.
With veins bulging all over his body, he rushed forward and threw the man out with an over-the-shoulder throw.
After seeing this, the other men did not rush over to fight me, but laughed a few times as if they were very cunning.
I asked them with a dark face: "What the hell do you want to do?"
The man struggled to get up from the ground: "Hey, young man, why are you so fierce? We don't allow hitting people casually here. There will be consequences."
I was a little confused: "What do you mean by that?"
The man grinned and said, "We can force you into the gambling room. If you don't believe me, ask the security guard."
The security guard nodded beside the man.
Karenina said angrily: "What a joke, it was obviously you who wanted to do it."
The man said aggrievedly: "I didn't even touch you. You were the first one to do it."
Karenina shouted to the man: "We are the troops of the Hanging Gardens. Who are you, Commander? Let's go."
I quickly grabbed Karenina and warned her, "Look around! Those damn security guards are staring at us. They don't care who we are. Once you enter the casino, everyone is the same."
Karenina calmed down as she looked at the security guards around her who were watching her closely.
Lucia: "You mean you want us to go to the arena and fight."
The man said excitedly, "That's right, and only that man can fight us."
I said, "We don't have any money, how can we play with you?"
The man looked at Lucia and the others with a lustful look on his face: "Why don't you have anything to bet on? Women are also considered bets."
I guessed that these fucking people would say that.
Liv said sadly, "I'm sorry, Commander. It's all my fault."
I gently stroked Liv's head and said, "They're specifically targeting us. It's none of your business."
I looked back at the men opposite me. They really thought I was some fresh-faced young man. I can't even beat you losers.
I whispered, "Okay, I'll join."
The man and a few others were about to pull us away: "Let's go, let's go backstage at the stadium."
I let Lucia lean against me: "No need for you to pull us, we can walk by ourselves."
The man spitted from behind: "Tsk, why are you pretending? It's okay, just bear with it for a while, and soon those three girls will be mine."
The man's younger brother flattered him and said, "Big brother, you are really awesome. Can you let us younger brothers play with you later?"
The man said generously: "Don't worry, everyone has a share."
After a while, I sat on a chair backstage, and Liv looked at me worriedly: "Commander, I..." Liv said halfway and swallowed it back.
