It was the daily broadcast again: "Today is February 10, Year 2 of the Counterattack Era. The troops in the Sky Gardens of the Nitsis Plateau are resting on the spot. The East Plains suffered a small attack from infected bodies. No casualties were caused today, only the loss of a military truck." The voice was still as mechanical as usual, so I planned not to listen to it anymore.
The alarm clock woke me up at six o'clock. I washed up and changed into my gray command uniform.
As soon as I opened the door, I saw a girl in pink standing at the door and greeting me: "Good morning, Commander."
I closed the door in surprise and disbelief, leaning my head against the door frame and wondering why there was a girl at my door.
Liv knocked on the door frantically and asked, "Commander, what happened? Why did you close the door?"
I realized, yes, she is my team member, but why is my heart beating so fast? Because she is so cute, is she really my team member?
I reopened the door and apologized. "Um, sorry, my mind was a little hazy just now. Where are Lucia and Li?"
Liv thought for a moment. "Lucia has already arrived at the training ground. Mr. Li also left at four o'clock, but he hasn't arrived yet. However, the location he sent me shows that he is only a short distance away from the training ground."
I was a little confused when I first arrived: "Isn't the training ground on the floating island outside the right side of the Sky Garden? We were supposed to leave at 4 o'clock, but they haven't arrived yet?"
Liv smiled and said, "Mr. Li has a poor sense of direction, but he will definitely arrive before seven o'clock. Yes, Mr. Li will definitely come."
It turns out that Li is directionally challenged! : "Uh, I can hear some helplessness in your words."
Liv followed me down the corridor. "Commander, do you know what's inside the training grounds?"
I said a little confusedly, "I don't know, what is there?"
Liv shook her head: "It's okay, you'll see it later."
Liv and I took the elevator to the floating island and saw Lucia and Li at the door: "Mr. Li, you arrived so quickly today." Li lowered his head and nodded.
Celica walked out from the corridor: "Huaqi, no, I should call you Commander now."
I quickly greeted her, "Teacher Celica, long time no see. No, I just saw her two days ago."
Celica praised him, saying, "You've done well in the academy, and you've trained hard every time. But in this training ground, I hope you'll be more careful, as someone might die." Then she swiped a white card to open the door.
Before going in, I injected serum and put on protective clothing. I gradually had a premonition of what was in there.
After entering, it was pitch black and suddenly the door was closed.
Celica shouted through the radio: "Kill all those things, the training will be over. Well, the door will open automatically. I have something to do, so I'll leave first." Teacher Celica left after saying this.
What on earth was going to happen? Suddenly, the lights came on, and the surroundings were all ruins, covered by a thin film, giving off a bad feeling.
A projection suddenly appeared in front: "Welcome to the training ground that I, Vera, have tailor-made for you. I'm sure you've stayed in the sky garden for too long, right? It's time to experience what pleasure is. The pleasure of crushing these scrap metals. I specially brought these from the earth for you with great effort. Don't let me down!" Vera in the projection had tattered clothes and was holding two sabers. Her smile was really crazy.
Those real infected bodies crawled out from the ruins, but their bodies seemed a little weak, and they rushed towards me half-dead.
Liv looked at my calm expression and asked doubtfully, "Commander, aren't you afraid?"
I said disdainfully, "This crap! If I were afraid, wouldn't I be the first to die on the ground? But most people would probably be afraid of this infected body. It's not even chained up. No one has died here, right? Will the Sky Garden's management allow it?"
Liv explained, "All the infected bodies here were brought here by Miss Vera two years ago. Some were captured for research, and the only people challenging them are the Constructors used for experiments, so you're the first one."
I looked at the weak infected bodies in front of me: "But I'm afraid the concentration of the Mish virus is so low that these infected bodies seem unable to do anything big. Let's get rid of them quickly." Liv nodded.
I began to give fake commands: "Lucia will be the forward, Liv will cover on the side, and Liv will stay with me." To be honest, I prefer to fight the infected by myself.
"Got it, Commander." Lucia instantly drew out her sword and rushed forward, while Riye drew out his gun and started firing.
This was a little too damn easy. Liv yelled, "Lucia, Mr. Li, stand back. I'll give them the final blow."
Lucia and Li stepped back, and the floating cannons on Liv's shoulders sprayed out huge rays, sweeping away all the flexible and unchanging infected bodies at once.
"This is fucking auxiliary type." I couldn't help but complain in my heart.
Liv tilted her head and looked at me: "Commander, I'm not holding you back, am I?"
I looked at Liv's innocent expression with a little doubt: "Liv, don't say that, it will make me feel inferior."
"Ah?" Liv stared at me blankly.
I said casually, "Forget it, everyone, let's go first and go to the Star of Life to check your body. You must get checked no matter what if you come into contact with these infected bodies. If Lucia has any scratches, please report them immediately. Some things are not as simple as you think."
"Yes, Commander."
Lisette examined Lucia's body. "There were some mild viral reactions, but the serum suppressed them, so there's no problem."
Lucia: “Thank you, doctor.”
