By night, the entire city of East was in great panic. Most of the refugees were unwilling to accept this fact. They had just found a place to settle down, but now they were displaced again.
But there is nothing they can do, they can only accept this reality, which is really sad.
I looked at the panicked people below. Some of them had already started looting. Those who had begged to enter the city were as obedient as dogs at first, but now they started to retaliate against us. Although there were only a few of them, they were really a hindrance to public order.
I really couldn't bear to watch it anymore. Lucia and the others couldn't do anything to these refugees, so I just climbed up the elevated platform wearing armor and holding a pistol.
Then he aimed at an old man who was looting and shot him in the arm. The crowd was immediately startled by the gunshot. The old man was struggling on the ground with blood on his arm.
The refugees wearing the clothes distributed by the Hanging Gardens glared at me. Did they hate us, the Hanging Gardens? No, I just interrupted their looting.
I shouted mockingly, "Keep grabbing! Why aren't you guys grabbing?"
These people would not surrender just because they hit an old man's arm. The kindness our Sky Garden showed to these people in the past few months made them forget the horror of the Sky Garden before. They thought that the Sky Garden was really here to atone for its previous actions, but they thought too much.
"Don't be afraid, everyone. Those bastards in the Sky Garden won't dare to continue."
"That's right! If the massacre from decades ago were to happen again, their Sky Garden would no longer have any credibility."
"We're just trying to regain what we lost."
Then, these refugees started spitting at me again and started fighting with the Sky Garden soldiers. These soldiers had seen disasters and did not want to shoot these refugees.
I laughed crazily and shouted, "Yeah, so what if I kill you? You're a bunch of bastards. Killing you will only save me some trouble."
So I stood up and fired continuously at the crowd. The crowd was frightened and bent down. They stopped firing after I finished a magazine.
I said playfully, "Ah! The fight is over. Can we quiet down now?"
The crowd just half-squatted on the ground, not daring to speak. Several vivid corpses lay on the ground, lying motionless and bleeding?
Liv looked at me a little worriedly: "Commander!"
Lucia took Liv's hand and said, "Liv, you should know that the current situation does not allow anyone to mess around."
Qianzi looked at me in surprise. "This lecherous ghost who smiles all the time and only has sex with women, I thought he only killed infected people. I didn't expect he could actually kill living people."
Bianca: "The Commander is truly a strange person."
Jean said in horror: "Did he really kill someone?"

Me: "Because the giants themselves are too powerful, we have chosen to retreat. The people in the Sky Garden will be picked up by the headquarters' spacecraft."
Me: "The rest are mostly refugees, wanderers, and even Forgotten soldiers, totaling nearly 30,000. These people are unable to evacuate, but the train of the Adila Business Alliance is willing to help us."
The crowd suddenly became agitated, as if they saw hope of life.
"I saw that train last time. It's huge. It will definitely take all of us away."
"Yeah, then we can still survive."
I sighed and said, "Not everyone can get on the train. There are residents on the train, and they can't take all 30,000 of us away."
The crowd suddenly tensed up again.
Me: "According to my calculations, nearly 20,000 people will need to stay here, and these 20,000 people happen to be over 35 years old. So 20,000 people will not be able to evacuate. But there is another option, which is for you to go on your own. We will provide some supplies, but you can't outrun the giants, and you will die in a few days."
But someone shouted loudly: "Will the people on that train die sooner or later?"

"Then should we not resist and just let them step over our bodies?"
I stood up, took off my helmet, and shouted, "No, of course we must resist. Retreating blindly is meaningless."
"Then how are we supposed to resist? We're humans, how are we supposed to fight something that big?"
Me: "Everything has a weakness, and those iron giants have weaknesses too. It's at the back of their necks. The bacteria inside is formed by the Pamish virus, which is the source of those giants. And what ultimately controls these bacteria is the mutation core in the hands of the ascender."
Me: "In the second year of the Revolutionary War, almost all the warring countries used drones extensively. To save costs, most of them were low-altitude drones. Some European Union countries created a bomb to deal with these drones."
Me: "Although I don't like to call it those academic names, I'll call it a spring-sensing bomb for fun. From the name, you can tell that if there is a flying object above, the bomb's sensor will automatically scan it, and then it will bounce through the spring below, automatically attach to the drone, and then explode."
