Vanessa: "Yeah, I have to thank them for completing the mission so quickly."
Bianca clenched her fists, and Qianzi hurriedly comforted Bianca. I didn't want to see Vanessa, so I tried my best to pretend not to see her expression and walked past her.
But things didn't go as planned. The more I didn't want something to happen, the more it happened. Vanessa stopped me and said, "Who was that? It turns out to be the commander of the Grey Crows. Long time no see. Can't you say hello?"
I turned to look at her angrily: "Huh? I don't even need to greet someone like you."
Vanessa: "That's the way you talk to your superiors."
I looked at him with empty eyes: "Who do you think you are?"
Vanessa said quietly, "It seems like you're getting along pretty well with your toys."
I said gloomily, "What does it have to do with a scum like you?"
The atmosphere gradually became tense, and Vanessa suddenly said, "Is Liv still alive? She used to be in my army."
Me: "Then she is truly miserable, in the hands of someone like you."
Vanessa: "Do you believe I can have her back in my hands right now?"
I raised my left hand: "Do you believe I can knock you down right now? I should have beaten you to death back then in the academy."
Vanessa: "I can now sue you for speaking against your superiors."
I rushed over and instantly pinned Vanessa against the wall. "Then go ahead and sue me. Are you human? Do you know how many constructs and human corpses you've walked through in the time you've been here? I heard your sister was recently experimented on, too. Even though you're cousins, what you've done really disgusts me. You look like that, it makes me sick. Do you think the higher-ups will favor someone like you who's reached this position with so many casualties, or someone like me who's fought off two Ascenders in a row? You never know. If I could knock you down right now and just use the surveillance recordings to play back what you said in the Sky Garden, how many people do you think would let you go? Many of them have relatives and teammates killed by you. Do you know how many people come to the cemetery every day? Do you know how many people have died because of you? You keep that stinky face all day long. If you weren't allowed to carry a gun, I could kill you right now. People like you should have been dead long ago."
Everyone around was staring at us, and Bianca quickly pulled me away.
Vanessa coughed a few times. "So you're a messenger of justice now?"
I stared at her closely. "No, I am nothing. I am just a human being."
I pushed Bianca away with a dark face and walked towards Amosif's laboratory. Vanessa stood up and left.
Bianca looked at my figure. "Is he the commander of the Grey Crows?"
Qianzi scratched his head: "Yes, I heard that not only did he complete the mission very well, but he is also a very good person. It was quite obvious just now. It just seems that he has too many personal grudges, but it can also be seen that he is not hypocritical."
Chiko smirked at Bianca's look and asked, "Why do you like him so much?"
Bianca blushed and said, "How is that possible? Okay, stop it, it's time to go."
Chiko hugged Bianca, "Bianca is so cute when she's shy."
I walked into Asimov's laboratory and saw Asimov sitting in a chair, looking at the floating screen with a lollipop in his mouth.
When Asimov saw me coming, he said, "What's going on? Your team members' bodies haven't recovered yet. What do you want to do by coming so early?"
Me: "Do you have a device that connects to the sea of consciousness?"
Asimov gave a strange look. "Why? You want to connect with your team?"
Me: "No, just activate it."
Asimov stood up and said, "Let me be clear, this is very painful. If you activate it directly without someone else to support you, your brain may be damaged."
I waved my hand: "It's okay, just come directly, and don't connect the screen."
Asimov: "Is there anything you don't want me to see?"
Me: “That’s none of your business.”
Asimov: "Okay, okay, who wants to see your sea of consciousness?"
I lay down in the chair, Asimov put the machine on me, and I immediately fell into a deep sleep.
I'm looking for the scene where Gabriel catches me in my sleep.
After a while, I finally found the situation in the dream and saw with my own eyes that Gabriel transformed a construct into a monster.
I stood beside Gabriel, but he couldn't see me. Was this Gabriel's sea of consciousness? Red crystals were floating all around.
Gabriel walked up the stone steps and I followed him. My mind began to become fuzzy, and Gabriel's body became fuzzy too.
I followed Gabriel onto a platform. On the platform was a suspended red water ball. Something seemed to be swimming inside it, like a tadpole.
Suddenly, the tadpole transformed into a terrifying human face, staring at me intently. I thought I was seeing things, but the face looked at me and spoke, "Are you human? Why are you here?"
This sentence woke me up with a huge impact.
Asimov rushed over and turned off my machine: "I didn't even disconnect you, how did you wake up?"
Before I could answer him, I started vomiting and then passed out.
Somewhere, a mysterious creature said: "Gabriel, that human has been able to invade our sea of consciousness."
Gabriel, who was flipping through a book with his tentacles, turned around and asked, "Did you see him?"
Mysterious Creature: "Yes, I saw him from your sea of consciousness."
Gabriel: "Do we need to arrest him?"
Mysterious Creature: "Forget it, I have some things to do. Did you find the cartel?"
Gabriel: "Sorry, not yet."
Mysterious Creature: "What trouble."
