Ticket grabbing

Ticket grabbing

So on the day tickets for the Haicheng concert went on sale, Zhao Qinfeng and Lin Ting were both glued to their phones.

Without looking up, Lin Ting asked, "Have you chosen the ticket price tiers?"

Zhao Qinfeng: "I've made my choice!"

"Have you pre-selected my identity information?"

"Only your identity information is available!"

Have you cleared the background apps on your phone?

"Cleared! I'll clear it again."

One minute left. Zhao Qinfeng stared at the countdown on the screen; the numbers decreased at a steady pace. His hand was already on the ticket-grabbing button, ready and waiting.

He felt his heart rate spiral out of control. In the past, Zhao Qinfeng usually felt this way before going on stage, but being nervous about getting tickets now was a particularly novel experience.

"10, 9, 8..." Lin Ting silently counted in his mind. His palms were already sweaty, all from nervousness, but he didn't care to wipe them away at the moment.

"...Three, two, one, zero!" As Zhao Qinfeng saw the countdown reach zero, he immediately pressed the button to grab tickets.

After a series of attempts, both of them got stuck. First, the interface kept spinning, and after finally getting in, they were told that "too many people were in the queue." Then, when they clicked again, it said "too many operations." As soon as they exited and went back in, there were no tickets left.

Zhao Qinfeng looked up and met Lin Ting's gaze, seeing the confusion and despair in each other's eyes.

Lin Ting forced a smile and said, "Don't worry, let me check the return tickets. The internet says to grab any remaining tickets when they appear, so we still have a chance."

Zhao Qinfeng didn't quite understand, but nodded, "Okay, I'll look at the return tickets with you."

So the two of them stubbornly fought with the ticket-grabbing interface for another twenty minutes, but ultimately still came up empty-handed.

Lin Ting gave up, exited the ticket-grabbing software, and opened a social media platform.

The platform very "thoughtfully" sent him the good news that everyone had successfully grabbed tickets, and even provided a screen recording of the smooth ticket-grabbing process, showing him entering the process in one second and paying in eight seconds.

Lin Ting murmured, "To kill someone is to destroy their spirit..."

Zhao Qinfeng patted him on the shoulder, "It's okay, I reserved a ticket for you in advance, so don't worry about going."

Lin Ting leaned over and hugged him.

While patting Lin Ting's back, Zhao Qinfeng said with a sigh, "Luckily, I can go in directly. If I had to get a ticket to enter the venue, my fans wouldn't have been able to see me."

Lin Ting laughed until her whole body trembled.

After the initial ticket rush, there were second and third rounds of ticket sales, but Lin Ting didn't participate anymore. Through this experience, he realized that he and Zhao Qinfeng might lack speed and luck in this area.

On the day of the concert, Zhao Qinfeng needed to prepare in advance and set off much earlier than Lin Ting.

"Then...see you tonight?" Lin Ting leaned against the door frame, looking at Zhao Qinfeng.

"Okay, see you tonight. Remember to check the concert viewing guide the studio sent out. It marks the parking lots around the stadium. Make sure you see your ticket's location so you don't go to the wrong place..."

Lin Ting interrupted him: "Alright, I'll take care of myself. You should hurry up and get ready. I wish you all the best today!"

Zhao Qinfeng left in a hurry.

Lin Ting didn't give too much time in advance; in fact, he had been very busy these past few days. Although taking an evening to watch Zhao Qinfeng's concert would have been easy for Lin Ting, a client suddenly changed the deadline. Lin Ting worked frantically before and after Zhao Qinfeng left, finally finishing before the latest departure time.

Lin Ting checked everything she needed to bring again, making sure she didn't have anything that wasn't allowed in the concert venue, and then left with a lightweight backpack.

They encountered the evening rush hour on the way, but fortunately Lin Ting had already considered this situation and allowed enough time to deal with it.

Lin Ting parked the car in the parking lot and walked towards the ticket checkpoint. The road was almost entirely filled with people who came to see the concert. Lin Ting looked left and right and felt that everyone was excited and thrilled.

This atmosphere is infectious to those around it. Although Lin Ting had some expectations on his way here, he didn't show them outwardly. But now he felt that expectation in his heart was surging out from within, showing in his actions and expressions.

After going through multiple steps including ticket checking and security checks, Lin Ting finally arrived around the stadium and entered through the nearest entrance.

His seat was inside the hall. He hadn't arrived early, so there were already quite a few people sitting around him. Lin Ting found his seat and sat down, noticing that someone he recognized was to his left.

Zhang Fengming was dressed casually and looked somewhat haggard. Lin Ting asked with concern, "Have you been quite busy lately?"

Zhang Fengming remained silent, only sighing repeatedly.

Lin Ting said, "That's not right. I remember you said you had a lot of work when recording the album, but you seemed pretty energetic during that time..."

Zhang Fengming declared in a resounding voice, "That's different!"

The seats in the inner area were close together, and Zhang Fengming's shout startled the people next to him. People two or three rows away also turned to look.

Zhang Fengming quickly lowered his voice and whispered, "How can they be the same? The mental strain caused by efficient busyness and useless busyness is vastly different."

Lin Ting wholeheartedly agreed with this view and nodded, "I think so too. It seems that your injury was indeed a work-related injury."

Zhang Fengming said, "That's right, so I came to Zhao Qinfeng's concert to relieve my work injury, so I'll be more in sync with him when I go back to work tomorrow."

The two tacitly ended the potentially class-related topic and started talking about Zhao Qinfeng's concert.

Lin Ting said that she had never actually been to a concert before, whether it was Zhao Qinfeng's or any other singer's concert.

Zhang Fengming said, "It seems this is the first concert you've ever attended. Actually, I don't attend concerts very often; it's quite tiring, and I hear them so many times in various settings. But occasionally, some concerts are still worth watching."

Lin Ting nodded as if he understood, but not quite. He really didn't know much about this area. In the past, the stage performances he paid attention to were mostly from galas or various music variety shows, and he basically never used concert performances as video material.

However, in the time that follows, he can experience it as an audience member.

His first surprise of the day came from the audience.

Lin Ting glanced at the time; there were only a few minutes left before the start of the event, and most of the lights in the venue were still on.

The moment he turned off his phone screen, all the lights went out instantly, and gasps of surprise surged like waves. Tens of thousands of people at the scene began chanting the same name.

"Zhao Qinfeng! Zhao Qinfeng! Zhao Qinfeng!"

Zhao Qinfeng appeared on the stage, and then the stage lights came on.

The sound at the venue was incredibly loud; the pounding drums and layers of instruments lifted Zhao Qinfeng's vocals. Lin Ting recalled the impact she felt when she heard Zhao Qinfeng's raw vocals in the recording studio. Although the vocals she heard at the concert were incomparable to the raw vocals, the impact was similar.

He waved his glow stick, his eyes fixed only on the person on stage.

The concert was divided into four parts, all under one theme, with a video segment played between each two parts.

At the end of the first part, Lin Ting and Zhang Fengming discussed in hushed tones for a moment.

Zhang Fengming said, "The texture and the effect are definitely worth the price."

Lin Ting asked, "Which part are you referring to?"

Zhang Fengming said, "Every part!"

Lin Ting laughed.

Someone left their seat and passed by Lin Ting's side. Lin Ting moved their legs to the side to make it easier for the other person to pass, but the other person suddenly stopped.

Lin Ting looked up in confusion and made a hasty eye contact with a girl.

"Mr. Lin Ting, are you here for the concert too?" The girl recognized Lin Ting and greeted him with a smile.

Lin Ting was a little nervous because she hadn't expected to be spoken to. She nodded to her and said, "Yes, I'm here too. I hope you enjoy watching."

The girl left.

Zhang Fengming joked, "Teacher Lin Ting was quite popular back then."

Lin Ting sighed, "It wasn't a hit, it was just a coincidence."

Lin Ting felt like she hadn't listened for very long, but several hours passed in the blink of an eye. Zhao Qinfeng had already started singing the encore, and some people around her had already left.

Lin Ting belatedly realized that he hadn't taken a single photo today, so he took out his phone and focused it, and Zhao Qinfeng shone brightly in the lens.

Lin Ting couldn't resist taking a few more pictures before putting her phone away.

He listened until the very end, until Zhao Qinfeng had truly said goodbye to everyone present, before he and Zhang Fengming got up and left together.

"I think I'll listen to Zhao Qinfeng's album again on my way back later," Lin Ting remarked.

Zhang Fengming nodded. "It's only natural. I was so excited after the concert, I wanted to hear it again."

Lin Ting asked, "How are you planning to get back? By car or subway?"

Zhang Fengming said, "I came by subway, and now I should be catching the last subway. In theory, I should be able to make it if I run fast enough."

He was about to run when Lin Ting quickly grabbed him.

Lin Ting asked, "Where do you live?"

Zhang Fengming gave Lin Ting a rough address, and Lin Ting opened her phone and searched for it, finding that it was located between the stadium and their home.

Lin Ting said, "I drove here, and it's mostly on my way, so I'll give you a ride."

Zhang Fengming readily agreed.

After getting into the car, Lin Ting connected her phone to the car's Bluetooth and started playing Zhao Qinfeng's new album.

Zhang Fengming sat down in the passenger seat and fastened his seatbelt. "It's great, I can continue listening right away after getting out."

Lin Ting slowly started the car, paid the parking fee at the parking lot entrance, and left.

Perhaps because they were tired from shouting at the concert, or perhaps because they didn't want to disturb the music playing from the car stereo, the two of them didn't talk much the whole way, with only the navigation system patiently broadcasting its directions.

Lin Ting dropped Zhang Fengming off at the entrance of his residential compound, said goodbye, and slowly drove away.

The album has already been played once, and we're back to the first song.

There wasn't enough time left for him to listen to the music completely, so Lin Ting simply paused the music and slowly drove home.

Zhao Qinfeng arrived home much earlier than Lin Ting. When Lin Ting opened the door and came in, he asked him how he felt tonight.

Lin Ting leaned in and kissed him, saying, "You're a very talented singer, and you also have a fantastic team."
